Chapter 133: Chapter 132: Trading Market

After spending a full day running back and forth between Ghost Valley and the Endless Ghost Wall, Gu Su’s steps were heavy with fatigue, and a trace of undeniable resignation was etched on his brow.

He never would have imagined that his predictions about the resources from the Dark Erosion Cave would be so utterly wrong.

Once the Dark Erosion Cave was operating smoothly, it turned out that the most popular and easiest-to-sell resource wasn’t the mushrooms or poisonous materials he had placed his hopes on for mass-produced profit. Instead, it was the seemingly unremarkable Pure Yang Chicken Blood.

After the Pure Yang Chicken Blood, the various venoms produced by the Poisonous Insect Cave managed to sell for a decent price. As for the mushrooms carefully cultivated in the Mushroom Cave, they were completely ignored—so much so that even Wandering Ghosts wouldn’t spare them a second glance.

This outcome made Gu Su, who had been full of anticipation, sigh and press a hand to his forehead. He was utterly speechless.

After all, when he had first planned the Dark Erosion Cave, he had been banking on the mass production of mushrooms to earn a stable income of Gold Coins and fund the Graveyard Demon’s development.

However, after calming down and thinking it through, he realized it actually made perfect sense. ’It shouldn’t have been a surprise at all.’

The core need of any Ghost or Undead was to absorb Yang Qi to nourish themselves. Pure Yang Chicken Blood not only had abundant Yang Qi but was also rich in vital energy, making it a rare and powerful tonic for any Undead. Naturally, it would become a hot commodity.

As for the venoms, they could at least be used for Gu Refining and creating other poisons. To the many Undead players and factions who specialized in the Poison Series, they still held practical value.

The mushrooms, however, were a different story. Undead didn’t need to eat regular food to begin with, let alone these faintly toxic mushrooms from the Dark Erosion Cave. To be blunt, not even a ghost would eat this stuff.

Ultimately, mushrooms thrived in the Dark Erosion Cave simply because the Undead territory was cold and damp—perfect conditions for them to grow, not because they were some rare, valuable resource.

The Dark Erosion Cave had now been running smoothly for a full day. Its internal systems and layout were finalized, and its operations were becoming increasingly efficient.

Tearing it down to rebuild and change the core production structure was not only unrealistic but would also be a waste of manpower and Yin Qi. The costs would far outweigh the benefits.

Gu Su could only swallow his disappointment and keep the Dark Erosion Cave running as usual. He pinned all his hopes on the Corpse Witches, trusting their research abilities would eventually allow them to cultivate special mushroom varieties with practical uses, preventing the fungi from becoming completely worthless.

As for the Gold Coins earned from selling the Pure Yang Chicken Blood and venoms, Gu Su didn’t save them. Instead, he took his earnings to the market at the Endless Ghost Wall and went on a shopping spree, buying up a massive quantity of resources the Graveyard Demon desperately needed.

He knew perfectly well that the Graveyard Demon was still in its early stages of development and was short on all kinds of basic materials and consumables. ’It’s better to turn these Gold Coins into tangible resources that can actually help us grow,’ he thought, ’than to just let them sit around.’

Fortunately, Gu Su had the foresight to bring the Treasure Chest Wagon. It looked like a simple Treasure Chest, but its internal space was enormous, capable of holding nearly a ton of goods.

Without it, there was no way he could have hauled this massive purchase back to the Graveyard Demon by himself.

After a weary, dust-covered journey back to the Graveyard Demon, Gu Su didn’t pause for a moment, not even to catch his breath. He immediately took the fully loaded Treasure Chest Wagon straight to the Yin Fire Heap.

The last batch of supplies he’d brought back had either been distributed among his Undead or had already been consumed in daily operations. Now, the empty ground around the Yin Fire Heap held only a few basic materials like rubble, Wood, scrap Metal, and bundled bones, making the area feel especially desolate.

At that moment, several of Gu Su’s idle Undead Bosses and Minions were gathered in small groups around the Yin Fire Heap, absorbing the faint Yin Qi it emitted to nourish themselves.

Some stood staring blankly into space, their eyes empty and unfocused, while others huddled together, their hushed conversations filled with an air of idleness and boredom.

After all, the Graveyard Demon had no active missions. Aside from Tooth Bone, who was absorbed in repairing broken equipment in a corner of the maintenance area, the other Bosses and Minions truly had nothing to do.

Gu Su was well aware that the Graveyard Demon was currently parked in Ghost Valley. ’And this valley,’ he thought, ’is teeming with Mobile Cities far stronger and larger than ours. A land of hidden masters.’

Under these circumstances, he didn’t dare send his Bosses out recklessly.

With no other choice, Gu Su could only have his Bosses and Minions wait by the Yin Fire Heap for their next assignments. ’Better for them to be idle than to go out and stir up trouble.’

Seeing all the Bosses and Minions rise to salute him, Gu Su waved his hand dismissively. "At ease," he said casually. "No need for formalities."

Once they were seated again, Gu Su walked to the Treasure Chest Wagon, threw open the lid, and began dumping out the purchased supplies, piling them on the empty ground beside the Yin Fire Heap.

The Endless Ghost Wall was a hub for Undead-focused players and factions, so the goods sold there were all more or less imbued with dense Yin Qi, perfectly suiting the needs of the Undead.

However, Gu Su discovered to his dismay that most of the common materials with colors and Attributes were significantly overpriced.

Some basic items labeled as White Quality were of even lower quality than the same items sold in his own Yin Soul Shop, yet the sellers had the audacity to demand an outrageous price of 20 Gold Coins. It was absurd.

Staring at the overpriced, low-quality goods, Gu Su was once again left speechless. He gave up on buying any items with Attributes and instead just bought a large batch of attribute-less junk materials.

The main appeal of this stuff was its sheer quantity and low price. What he could actually get out of it, however, was all up to Luck.

Finding any hidden treasures within this pile of seemingly useless junk would depend entirely on one’s own skill and sharp eye. Perhaps he could even unearth an unexpected, high-value surprise.

After completely emptying the overstuffed Treasure Chest Wagon, Gu Su looked at the small mountain of materials, then raised his gaze to Bone Ash in the crowd. "Bone Ash, you’re up."

With that, Gu Su picked up a few items and walked toward Tooth Bone.

This was his true prize from the Endless Ghost Wall.
