Laden with bags big and small, Gu Su finally rushed back to Ghost Valley.

A faint, sinister aura still permeated the valley. When the wind blew, besides the heavy scent of Incense, Ghosts could occasionally be seen wandering about.

Although this trip had taken less than a day in total, to Gu Su, it felt as if he had been away from the Graveyard Demon for ages.

The moment he drew near the Graveyard Demon’s domain, the drawbridge—fashioned from an abandoned trailer and thick vines—slowly lowered from the main gate. It let out a series of ancient creaks and groans, as if it had been waiting for him for a long time.

A gentle breeze swept through, causing the branches of the Deceitful Tree within the Graveyard Demon to sway. Countless Large-leaf Lily Seeds, like pieces of Paper Money, drifted from the boughs and spiraled down around Gu Su. It resembled a bizarre yet reverent welcoming Ceremony, lending this Undead Territory an unexpected touch of worldly life.

Gu Su paid little mind to the welcoming display. He walked straight across the drawbridge and handed the two large bags he was carrying to a few Skeletons that came forward to greet him.

The Skeletons’ movements were stiff yet deft. After taking the bags securely, they stood aside with their arms hanging low, awaiting further orders. Gu Su dusted off his hands and asked, "Have the books I mailed from the post office arrived at the Graveyard Demon yet?"

The words had barely left his mouth when Crow’s Caw, with a flutter of wings, landed lightly on Gu Su’s shoulder and gave a precise answer. "They have arrived, my lord.

I have already asked the four Corpse Witches to help, and they have sorted and organized all the books."

Gu Su knew that among his Undead forces, the Minions were capable of leading the common Undead and making his ranks more flexible. ’But when it comes to scholarly work, like handling delicate tasks such as organizing books, that’s a job for the four Corpse Witches.’

’Even Crow’s Caw, who possesses Basic Wisdom and can communicate fluently with him, is little more than an illiterate in front of the Corpse Witches.’

’If it had been Undead equipment or other supplies, Crow’s Caw and the other Minions might have been able to manage them.’

’But several cartloads of books, a task involving sorting, organization, and even later study, naturally had to be handed over to cultured individuals like the Corpse Witches.’

For that very reason, the more intelligent minions, Crow’s Caw included, didn’t even get a chance to touch the books. They could only stand by and watch the Corpse Witches work.

At this thought, a hint of grievance crept into its voice as it complained in Gu Su’s ear, "Those Corpse Witches have already moved all the books to the basement."

Gu Su couldn’t help but chuckle. He patted Crow’s Caw on his shoulder and gave his instructions in a gentle tone.

"Alright, that’s enough complaining.

Have these Skeletons take the things I brought with me over to the Yin Fire Heap.

I’m going to the basement now to see how the books are being organized."

Upon hearing Gu Su’s command, the Skeletons who had taken the bags immediately set off, shuffling slowly toward the Yin Fire Heap with their characteristically stiff gait.

Meanwhile, Crow’s Caw remained perched on Gu Su’s shoulder, chattering away about all the matters, big and small, that had occurred in Ghost Valley during his absence as it accompanied him to the Graveyard Demon’s basement.

After all, it commanded a flock of White Crows that circled high above Ghost Valley daily. Even without actively trying to gather intelligence, they could see every little thing that happened in the valley with perfect clarity.

From minor disputes between nearby Mobile Cities to unusual movements on the valley’s periphery, nothing escaped their sight.

Just as Gu Su was listening intently to the report, nearing the basement entrance, the sound of hurried footsteps approached from the side. He turned to see Tooth Bone running toward him with a slightly clumsy gait. His face was filled with unconcealable pride, and his very Bone Joints seemed to be rattling with excitement.

"My lord! I fixed it! I fixed it!"

Tooth Bone’s voice trembled with excitement, his tone thick with a desire for praise.

Gu Su stopped. Seeing Tooth Bone’s smug expression, he couldn’t help but raise an eyebrow. With a hint of confusion, he smiled and asked, "Oh? What did you fix?

I don’t recall asking you to fix anything."

"It’s Alice!

The music box that was stuck!" Tooth Bone explained hurriedly, pulling the object out as he spoke.

The words "Alice" and "music box" made it click for Gu Su instantly.

In the last Game World, Gu Su had only obtained four pieces of green-grade equipment. The Plague Cutter he constantly used was one of them, and the jammed music box called [Completely Ruined Alice] was another.

He remembered the system prompt at the time mentioned that although the music box was completely ruined, it wasn’t irreparable—just that fixing it would be quite difficult.

It was only after obtaining the [processed flesh] that Tooth Bone truly began to repair the music box.

At the time, however, Tooth Bone hadn’t been completely confident he could succeed.

’I can’t believe he actually fixed it.’

A flash of pleasant surprise lit up Gu Su’s eyes, and his smile widened. "You really fixed it?" he asked, his voice tinged with anticipation.

Quick, let me see."

Upon hearing this, Tooth Bone immediately pulled a box from his person and carefully handed it to Gu Su.

As Gu Su took the box, his fingertips were met with a bizarre chill. It was completely different from the jammed, faded, dark-red wooden music box he remembered.

The music box before him looked nothing like the dark-red wooden one that had been jammed shut, yet it exuded a bizarre quality that seemed to penetrate to the bone.

Its shell was not made of smooth wood. Instead, it was a dull, murky dark-red color, like coagulated, dried foul blood. The surface had a greasy, matte sheen, was bone-chillingly cold to the touch, and gave off a faint, cloying, metallic scent.

Though it had clearly been taken apart and pieced back together, no effort had been made to smooth the seams. The jagged edges were sharp, and a black, viscous residue, like an uncleaned scab, remained at the joints.

The box had no decorations. The story of Alice once painted on its surface had been completely scoured away, leaving behind a dense network of fine, scratch-like markings.

Upon closer inspection, a fine black powder was embedded within the grooves. The entire object exuded an aura of decay, grotesqueness, and cold. For a small music box, it was inexplicably chilling and looked nothing like an ordinary item.

[Magically Modified Alice (Green): A bizarre mechanical music box that was completely destroyed, then disassembled and pieced back together. Every part is stained with an uncanny, corrupting blood Power. Opening the box will allow you to summon and subdue a Bizarre Entity named Alice.

Note: Alice’s grade will not exceed Green, her Level Cap will not exceed Level 20, and her abilities will be random. The music box can only be used once.]
