the two-faced Adopted Girl Who Melted CEO's Ice-Cold Heart
Chapter 1534 - 1521: Showing Off the Marriage Certificate
"Forget it if you didn’t hear anything." Chloe Winston snorted coldly, but hadn’t finished before Constantine Stewart kissed her fiercely.
Constantine lifted her high, his gentle kisses landing all over her face like a child tasting candy, and laughed joyfully, "Mrs. Stewart, let’s go home. We’ll register tomorrow."
Chloe was softened to the core by his tender kisses and nodded heavily, smiling like a silly little girl.
Hand in hand, the two returned to the hotel sticky sweet.
Early the next day, Constantine dragged Chloe out of the bed - the man, dealing with such an important life event, left all the group matters to his people.
Chloe had all her documents with her, and with Constantine’s high efficiency, they completed all the formalities on the same day, received their marriage certificate from France, and obtained a long-term residence permit.
Constantine handled everything, while Chloe followed behind like a little tail, looking at the marriage certificate in her hands, even more excited than the first time. She was young during her first marriage, Constantine had only shown her the marriage certificate and then put it away without any sense of ceremony, so she wasn’t very excited.
This time, the marriage was deeply considered, though perhaps it had more of a whimsical element, but she understood what marriage was about now and was genuinely determined to tolerate this man’s faults and continue her life with him.
"Constantine, are we really married now?" She looked at the little booklet in her hand, smiling sweetly and revealing her dimples.
"Yes, Mrs. Stewart, please take care of me for the rest of our lives." The man lowered his gaze, smiling gently and elegantly at her, feeling an urge to post the marriage certificate on social media.
Chloe felt a bit shy at being called ’Mrs. Stewart,’ playfully curtsied and said with a grin, "Mr. Stewart, please take care of me too for the rest of our lives."
Constantine stretched his hand to clasp her tiny hand, big hand holding small hand, both smiling at each other.
Having received their certificate, they didn’t go out to feast excessively. Constantine took her for a walk along the Seine River in early spring Paris, then boarded a cruise to enjoy the beauty of the city.
Chloe excitedly covered her hat, which was about to be blown away by the cold river breeze, as she ran from one end of the cruise to the other, taking pictures.
Mr. Stewart leaned against the side, quietly watching her lively figure, then posted on social media.
He remembered that when Ignatius Leclair got married and had a child, it was all flaunted lavishly, so he, the last Saint, had to be even more high-profile.
Constantine’s social media had quite the crowd, mostly the aristocrats from the Imperial City; he barely played with WeChat, updating his feed once in a blue moon, but this time he posted unprecedentedly: "Hello, Mrs. Stewart." The picture attached was of two marriage certificates.
Once the post was up, his social media exploded with comments flooding in, and Constantine raised an eyebrow, nearly suspecting these people lived off social media, how could they reply so quickly elsewise?
"Goodness, goodness!!!" Alaric Howard was lightning-fast with the first reply, letting out wailing cries.
"Dammit, old Constantine only mentioned during New Year that he’d hold a wedding this year, and now, within days, this madness!"
"Mr. Stewart, all the elite socialites of the Emperor City will be weeping tonight."
"Got the certificate? Old Constantine, surely you didn’t download a picture online and edit it?" Ignatius Leclair lazily expressed disbelief.
"Congratulations, remember to have a kid this year, so our kids can be the same age," Richard Shaw said with a chuckle.
Constantine was instantly internally hurt; it was only late February, unless Chloe was immediately pregnant, how could they have a baby by year’s end?
Some other elite figures from the Imperial City sent their blessings, along with shock, and kept asking who Mrs. Stewart was.
Constantine curled his lips into a cold smile, Mrs. Stewart was indeed Mrs. Stewart, his very own, obviously.
As Constantine’s social media was booming, Chloe’s phone was flooded.
"Chloe, where are you? Constantine got married, did you know?" Desmond Wood was the first to call, panickedly saying, "You got cheated on."
Chloe: "..."
As for Finnian, Kyla Zamora, and Wendy Starling’s calls, none could get through, all lines were busy.
"What’s going on?" Chloe asked in surprise, glancing toward Constantine’s direction, seeing the man elegantly leaning against one of the cruise pillars, wearing a suit due to the marriage certificate ceremony, with the jacket open revealing a dark red vest underneath, looking handsome and graceful.
Seeing her look over, Constantine poked his phone screen with one hand, while gesturing her over with the other, smiling slightly.
Chloe hopped over, snuggled into his embrace where he kissed her cheek, laughing deeply, "What’s the matter?"
Chloe was still on call with Desmond, the call not yet ended. On the other end, Desmond gasped, "Damn, Chloe, are you marrying Constantine by any chance?"
With long, fair fingers, the man took her phone and said coldly, "From now on, refer to her as Mrs. Stewart, Chloe isn’t the name for you to call."
"Constantine, you unreasonably..." Desmond’s angry voice was cut off by the call disconnecting.
Constantine had just cut off Desmond’s call when several other calls came through. Raising an eyebrow, without thinking, he turned off the phone, somewhat dejectedly saying, "Mrs. Stewart, it seems your popularity far exceeds mine. No one has called me yet."
Constantine seized Chloe’s phone, placing it in his coat pocket, then, as an exchange, offered his phone in appeasement, not to mention a single condolence call, his social media was filled with people roasting him.
Seeing him act so petty, Chloe couldn’t help but laugh, wrapped her arms around his, and affectionately mocked the frown lines on his forehead, saying with a smile, "Desmond said you gave me a green hat, what’s going on, Mr. Stewart? I remember we just got married today, right?"
Constantine’s brows twitched from her gentle touch, he smiled lightly, "Perhaps they’re jealous that I married a lovely and talented young wife."
As he spoke, the man opened social media, showing her the dozens or hundreds of comments on his post.
Chloe looked at the long string of comments, noticing most of them were teasing Constantine, and was so surprised her mouth couldn’t close, what kind of poor popularity is this?
