"This child has had a hard life, but fortunately, she’s well-behaved and has the right mindset. If she and Constantine can end up together, her parents’ spirits in heaven would be comforted." The old lady couldn’t express how much they should take care of her; although she truly felt sorry for her having no parents, she couldn’t put it into words.

"Grandma, the grudges of the past generation have long returned to dust and soil. I see that she and Constantine have genuinely reconciled, and with our family connection, it’s considered a good bond made. This year, we might be hosting a wedding," Leah said with a smile.

The old lady’s attention was indeed diverted and she became happy again. If these two young ones married, they could hold each other and warm each other’s hearts, leading a prosperous life together.

"Yes, yes, I will have Richard Shaw go to test the waters and start preparing early."

Richard Shaw saw his grandma and wife chatting cheerfully and was reminded of Constantine’s reform from his wayward ways and the pitiful life of that girl from the Winston Family. He lowered his eyes with a slight smile, believing that living well in the present was more important than anything else.

The orphanage was on the Suburban Outskirts, about a two-hour drive, and with the snowy, slippery roads, Chloe Winston and Constantine Stewart arrived at the orphanage just before noon.

The children at the orphanage were all without parents, and with the winter break, for the past two years due to Chloe Winston’s influence, Constantine Stewart’s continuous support had ensured the orphanage was no longer financially strained, allowing the children to wear new clothes for the New Year, feast on good dishes like fish and meat sausages, and not worry about tuition fees.

Every meal during the New Year was delicious and with the snow, the children were excited, roaming the streets aimlessly.

Chloe Winston had called the orphanage director mother beforehand, and when the car arrived, the director mother was waiting at the door.

The director mother had initially thought it would be Chloe Winston returning alone. Instead, she saw Constantine Stewart step out of the car too. The man was dressed in a deep blue coat, a black scarf, and exuded a noble elegance, catching her off guard. Recognizing him as Mr. Stewart, who sponsored the orphanage every month, she quickly approached and said, "Ah Chu, why have you come with Mr. Stewart? Had I known Mr. Stewart was coming, I’d have asked the kitchen to prepare more good dishes."

The director mother was somewhat flustered and at a loss. Although as the orphanage director, she had met many wealthy people over the years, Mr. Stewart clearly seemed different from the ordinary rich people, especially being this young and handsome.

"It’s fine, we’re not picky eaters," Chloe Winston said with a slight smile, watching the man greet the director mother before heading to the trunk to retrieve the gifts they brought. She felt a warmth in her heart, stepped forward to hold the director mother’s hand, and said, "It’s too cold outside. Why have you been waiting here all this time?"

"I just came out, calculated the time, and figured you’d be arriving soon, so I came to check. It’s just the second day of the new year, and there’s nothing much to do," said the director mother with a smile. Then, seeing Constantine Stewart had brought quite a bit, her eyes widened. She glanced at this gentleman from a noble family, then at Chloe Winston, suddenly understanding why Mr. Stewart had been sponsoring the orphanage all these years. She had always thought it was Mr. Zheng’s doing, but later Zheng Gu said he was merely an assistant, and the real sponsor was someone else. This was when she realized that truly noble people do good deeds without seeking recognition or fame.

The director mother quickly asked the kitchen to prepare a few more of their best dishes. Constantine Stewart figured Chloe and the director mother probably wanted to have a personal chat, so he went to play with the children in the orphanage’s yard.

"Little Chu, are you serious with Mr. Stewart?" The director mother, looking somewhat anxious, asked as she glanced at the noble and elegant man outside the window, "Does he know about your background? Wasn’t it Mr. Zheng who adopted you before? Then Mr. Zheng often sponsored the orphanage. I always thought it was Zheng Gu, but only a few months ago did I find out the person behind Zheng Gu was Mr. Stewart."

The more the director mother thought about it, the more something felt off. Her brain couldn’t quite process the situation of Chloe Winston and Constantine Stewart returning together, leaving her stunned.

Chloe Winston chuckled lightly and said softly, "He’s known about my background all along, Director Mother. The one who adopted me back then was Constantine Stewart. Because of his special status, he had Zheng Gu act on his behalf. We’re seriously together now."

The director mother was stunned by her words, even though she had vaguely guessed it. The thought that Constantine Stewart, with his status, would truly like Little Chu was still hard to wrap her head around, especially since young ladies could indeed be beautiful, but weren’t all prestigious families concerned about family background?
