Chapter 1183: Chapter 1210: Is It a Beautiful Dream? (2)
Mia Ginger was reminded of the scene when she first met Camden River at university.
Standing among a group of peers, Camden was easily noticeable—handsome and exceptional, like a protagonist straight out of a comic book.
But—
Back then, his demeanor was clean and refreshing, whereas now it leaned towards restrained and somber.
He had become a young man.
Seeing her at this moment, Camden’s lips curved into a very light smile as he said, "Thanks for coming again."
"No need for thanks; I was just here to do a prenatal check-up," Mia Ginger replied with a smile, addressing Chloe Smith, "Hello, Auntie. You must have been worn out these days; you deserve a good rest when you get back."
"Not too bad. Thanks to you guys, though. We should let Camden host us sometime."
"We’ll surely eat him into bankruptcy," Mia Ginger continued without hesitation.
Her tone was relaxed, making Chloe’s smile deepen as she warmly invited Koa Jackson and her to sit nearby, handing them a few fruits.
Koa didn’t refuse either, accompanying Mia as she chatted with Camden.
Mostly about what would happen next.
Camden would return to the TV station early next month to resume work, and in the coming days, he would take a trip back to Riverside; he had already sold the previous three-bedroom apartment, and Troy River took charge and found him a three-story villa in Maple Fragrance House; he and Tong Tong might obtain their marriage certificate upon returning...
When Camden spoke these words concisely, Mia Ginger sensed certain irreversible things from his calm demeanor.
For instance—
His relationship with Tong Tong was essentially set in stone.
Troy River was not extravagant, but making such a quick decision to acquire a villa in a high-end residential area spoke volumes. He really liked Tong Tong as his future daughter-in-law and did not want Camden to treat her poorly in life.
Mia Ginger saw through it all.
Before leaving, she quietly asked him, "Will you regret it?"
Camden chuckled slightly and replied calmly, "Are you talking about Tong Tong? No."
"I wish you happiness," Mia Ginger shrugged and said with a smile, "Well, if you do get the certificate, don’t forget to treat me to three meals when you get back."
She was counting on her fingers and hadn’t finished when Camden, speechless, said, "I’m really afraid of you; more than enough, okay?"
"No problem," Mia Ginger waved goodbye with a smile.
She intentionally tried to make him happy, and Camden naturally understood as he escorted her and Koa all the way to the elevator.
As Mia Ginger entered the elevator, she couldn’t help but let out a sigh.
Koa Jackson put his arm around her shoulders and softly asked, "Are you tired?"
"Not really tired, Brother Jackson," Mia Ginger looked at him seriously and asked, "Do you think Camden’s decision is right or wrong? I don’t know how to put it; it feels odd."
"Love is like drinking water; only you know whether it’s hot or cold," Koa replied in a calm voice. After a slight pause, he added, "But I think he knows what he’s doing and knows what he wants. You don’t need to worry."
"It just feels quite helpless."
"Who knows what the future holds?" Koa smiled, "Don’t worry needlessly."
"True," Mia Ginger hugged his arm tightly and looked up, "Anyway, if the sky falls, you’ll hold it up, right? Hehe."
Koa pressed his lips and gently touched her face.
The elevator dinged, and the two of them exited the inpatient building, heading home.
——
Camden River and Tong Tong were discharged from the hospital.
Each returned to their respective homes.
The next day, both families and the couple boarded a plane back to Riverside.
