Chapter 1101: Chapter 1128: He’s My Husband (4)

"If you insist on leaving home, then start by interning well, find a job within your capability, and work hard."

"Will that be okay?"

"For now, yes." Camden River couldn’t think of anything else at the moment.

Windsor Myres bit her lip, and after a while, nodded and said, "Going to work is fine, but..."

She spoke softly, "I have a condition; I need to live with you. I’ve argued with my mom to this extent, and there’s no way I can go back home. If I live with you, we can be together day and night. Do you think that’s okay?"

"Okay." Camden River nodded, compromised.

Given what happened today, with Cherry Lewis’s tone and expression, he no longer had hope for the two families to get along peacefully. At this point, Windsor Myres reaching this decision had a lot to do with him. He couldn’t harden his heart and ignore her anymore. He always thought she just needed someone to care for her. He left for two years, treating her indifferently, yet she, with her personality, still waited and hoped. He’s felt guilty about it; he owes Windsor Myres.

Those feelings of guilt have always been suppressed, and he always hoped she would change, but right now, he doesn’t want to suppress them anymore.

With this incident, since she has already left home, it means a whole new beginning.

By holding on, it doesn’t necessarily mean they won’t have a future.

Camden River sat with a somber face for a long time before getting up to take a shower.

Windsor Myres sat up and watched him, but didn’t follow, frowning. Her mood was complicated, feeling resentment towards Cherry Lewis and helplessness towards Camden River’s parents. This current version of Camden River made her feel a bit sorry for him, which frustrated her.

She kept overthinking, and seemingly quickly, Camden River came out of the bathroom wrapped in a towel.

Windsor Myres lifted the covers to go take a shower.

Camden River drew the curtains, turned on the lights in the bedroom, and pulled out a brand new set of sheets and duvet cover from the cabinet to replace the old ones.

It’s still hot in September, and he hadn’t turned on the air conditioning. After the two of them tangled for a while, the sheets and duvet cover were soaked with sweat, making the skin feel chilly and very damp.

After changing them, he turned on the air conditioner and went back to gather their clothes.

The room was very quiet, and he sat in the unlit living room, listening to the sound of the washing machine drum turning.

"Camden River!"

A voice suddenly came from the direction of the bedroom.

Camden River stepped over.

Inside, Windsor Myres called to him, "What should I do, my period started?"

"..." Camden River took a moment to realize and responded calmly, "I’ll go down and buy some for you."

"Then hurry."

"Got it."

After a brief exchange, Camden River went downstairs.

There’s a convenience store just downstairs in the neighborhood, but feeling embarrassed, he walked further to a pharmacy at the intersection.
