Chapter 73: 73 second part SIX PILLS

73

"I’m fine."

Lian Yue did not insist.

She remained beside her for a few seconds before turning her attention back to Yun Che.

The masked man walked toward the furnace, and everyone followed his movements.

He placed one hand on the lid and then lifted it.

An intense medicinal fragrance immediately spread throughout the hall, and six small pills rested inside.

Three had a gentler appearance.

The other three emanated a much more intense spiritual energy, compressed within them.

Chen Ruyue slowly approached, her eyes fixed on the pills.

"Six..."

Su Meilin approached as well.

"Three of each type."

Guo Han nodded.

"I can distinguish two different functions."

Guo Han asked:

"What are they?"

Guo Han analyzed the pills for several seconds.

"These three possess energy much more suited for recovery."

Guo Han pointed toward the first three.

"And these..."

His gaze shifted toward the other three.

"...possess a much higher concentration of spiritual energy."

Su Meilin completed:

"Pills intended for advancement."

Chen Ruyue nodded.

"Their purity is also extraordinarily high."

"Is that really so important?"

Guo Han looked at him.

"Yes."

His voice remained firm.

"A recovery pill can possess an enormous amount of medicinal energy and still be dangerous if it is filled with impurities. These, however, seem to have been refined so that almost all of their energy can be utilized by the body."

Su Meilin observed Yun Che.

"You achieved a level of purity far beyond what would normally be expected."

Zhao Ming finally spoke.

"Can you do this by yourself?"

Yun Che did not answer.

Zhao Ming continued:

"Who taught you? Your feat in the mausoleum was flawless, we know that, but this is absurd even for a monstrous genius like you."

Silence.

Yun Che slowly turned his eyes toward him.

"Didn’t the old alchemist already tell you not to talk so much? It’s obvious you learned nothing in the mausoleum."

Zhao Ming stared at the mask for several seconds.

"Who said I didn’t learn anything? You were just lucky, that’s all."

"If you say so, then fine."

The response carried no irritation. It was simply final. Zhao Ming opened his mouth to insist, then closed it again.

Yun Che picked up the three recovery pills and then walked toward Seraphina.

The princess immediately realized what he intended to do. Yun Che extended his hand.

The three pills rested in his palm.

"Give them to the warriors. You said these three are close to you, so go ahead."

Seraphina looked at the pills and then at Yun Che.

"Can they really take them?"

"Yes."

"Are you sure?"

Yun Che remained motionless.

"If I weren’t sure, I wouldn’t give them to you."

Seraphina nodded, took the three pills, and walked toward the warriors. Ariselle watched everything in silence.

"Daughter."

Seraphina turned around.

"Trust me, Mother."

The Queen held her daughter’s gaze for several seconds before nodding.

"I trust you."

The three warriors received the pills. The first looked at the small object in her hand.

"Can this really save us?"

Seraphina replied:

"I don’t know if it can save everything."

She looked at Yun Che.

"But I know he wouldn’t have done this without a reason."

The three warriors exchanged glances, and the first nodded, smiling gently in a way meant to reassure the princess, just as they had always done when she was still a child.

"Then I will trust him."

The second closed her eyes.

"So will I."

The third took a deep breath.

"Let’s do it."

The three swallowed the pills, and for several seconds, nothing happened. The hall remained silent.

Zhao Ming frowned.

"Is that all?"

Chen Ruyue did not answer. Her gaze was completely focused on the warriors.

Then the first warrior took a deep breath. Her breathing, which had previously been short and irregular, began to stabilize.

The second slowly raised her head, while the third closed her eyes. Spiritual energy began flowing through the bodies of all three.

The deep wound in the first warrior’s abdomen began to close first. The bleeding diminished, and only afterward did the edges of the wound slowly begin to join together.

Chen Ruyue’s eyes widened.

"It’s working."

The second warrior slowly raised her arm, and the burns began to disappear.

Her broken scales regenerated little by little.

The third, who had previously been barely able to remain standing, took a deep breath and then opened her eyes.

Her expression changed. She planted both feet firmly on the ground and stood up on her own.

Murmurs filled the hall.

"Impossible..."

"How is this possible?"

"Look at the wound!"

"She was almost unconscious."

Chen Ruyue quickly approached the first warrior.

"Don’t move."

The warrior remained still as Chen Ruyue examined the wound for several seconds.

Her expression became increasingly astonished.

"The internal organs are recovering as well."

Su Meilin approached.

"It’s not merely superficial recovery."

Chen Ruyue nodded.

"The energy is restoring the entire body."

The third warrior clenched her fists, moved her shoulders, and then breathed again.

"I..."

She looked at her own hands.

"I don’t feel any pain."

Seraphina smiled faintly.

"I told you it would work."

Ariselle remained motionless, her eyes fixed on the three warriors.

Only a few minutes earlier, those same women had needed to be carried.

Now they were standing. The Queen slowly turned her gaze toward Yun Che.

"You did this."

Yun Che did not answer. Instead, he picked up the other three pills, and the atmosphere changed once again.

The recovery alone had been enough to leave everyone impressed, but those three were different.

The spiritual energy contained within them was far more intense. Chen Ruyue immediately noticed it.

"Those aren’t recovery pills."

"No."

Guo Han approached.

"They are advancement pills."

Yun Che nodded.

"Cultivation advancement?"

"Yes."

Zhao Ming looked at the three warriors.

"How much?"

Yun Che replied:

"That depends on them."

Thesira approached.

Her expression remained serious.

"If these pills cause a reaction during the advancement, what will happen?"

Yun Che looked at her.

"They won’t. The pills I refined were specifically made for them."

Thesira frowned.

"You’re awfully certain."

"I made them. How could I not be?"

The answer was simple. Thesira remained silent, clearly not completely convinced.

But she also found no sufficient reason to stop the process.

Seraphina received the three pills.

This time, however, she did not hand them over immediately. She looked at the warriors.

"Are you willing?"

The first warrior looked at the other two before answering:

"If this can help our people, yes."

The second nodded.

"So am I."

The third took a deep breath.

"Do it."

Seraphina handed one pill to each of them, and the three swallowed them at the same time.

For an instant, nothing happened. Then spiritual energy exploded, and an invisible pressure spread throughout the hall.

The small snakes in the Medusas’ hair writhed violently.

Lian Yue immediately became serious.

"Their cultivation is rising."

The first warrior closed her eyes.

Her energy increased, then increased again. An invisible barrier seemed to break inside her body.

"Profound Nascent."

Chen Ruyue murmured.

The pressure continued to grow.

"Second stage."

Then:

"Third."

The spiritual energy continued increasing.

"Fourth."

The first warrior clenched her teeth, her body trembling under the force of the advancement.

"Fifth stage."

Su Meilin watched intently.

"Sixth."

The pressure became even heavier.

"Seventh."

Ariselle took a step forward.

"No one interfere."

Lian Yue looked at her.

The Queen kept her eyes on the warriors.
