Chapter 41: 41 Intimidating a Princess

41 Intimidating a Princess

Yun Che walked alongside his Apocalypse Horses toward a wooden tent that was not as damaged as the others.

Alongside the six, five skeletons walked beside the Lich.

Yun Che looked at the Soul Devourer, which quickly understood its master’s intention.

The Soul Devourer’s chest opened, revealing a dark and grotesque spiritual fissure. A mouth filled with corrosive teeth appeared, along with tongues resembling tentacles.

The souls of the dead were sucked into its mouth. Yun Che looked away, having no stomach to endure such bizarre behavior.

Its pitch-black eyes lit up with tiny points of light. When Yun Che looked back at its closing chest, he saw countless souls writhing in agony inside.

"Did you obtain their memories?" Yun Che asked after seeing that the Soul Devourer had finished.

"Yes, my master."

Unlike the inner disciples of the Profound Flower Sect, who knew what to expect in the Secret Realm and also possessed talismans to locate one another within it, Yun Che was merely an outer disciple and therefore had no information about what he might encounter, whether dangerous resources or opportunities. He was completely in the dark.

At this moment, he could only rely on himself to gather information and formulate a course of action. The reason he had left no survivors was his Soul Devourer.

"Does my master wish to hear what I discovered about this place?"

"Of course. Eliminate the useless information and tell me what is truly important."

The Soul Devourer began to speak while the other knights and Yun Che listened attentively, asking one or two questions as it narrated the situation.

Yun Che looked at the Mummy, which quickly understood what she needed to do. It was something Yun Che had asked her to do on the second day after entering the Secret Realm.

After obtaining the information, he entered the tent.

The large tent was silent when Yun Che entered, accompanied by the five Apocalypse Knights.

The smell of blood still lingered in the air, mixed with the heavy odor of torches and burnt wood. There were no guards inside, only two figures held captive, two women.

Neither of them knew what had happened outside. They had only heard the sounds of battle cries and incessant explosions, along with irregular tremors and the metallic smell of blood.

The young Medusa was sitting against one of the tent’s pillars, her wrists bound by chains.

Her hair was made up of small green snakes, each one moving restlessly as their eyes followed Yun Che.

Her beauty was striking, carrying an impressive sensuality. Every curve of her body was breathtaking, especially her full breasts and well-shaped hips.

But what drew the most attention at that moment was her desperate effort to conceal her fear.

Beside her was another Medusa with equally captivating beauty. She was also chained, but immediately tried to place herself between Yun Che and the young woman.

She was injured and breathing with difficulty, while her clothes showed clear signs that she had endured a brutal situation before being brought to this place.

Even so, she kept her body upright, as though she could protect the other woman simply through her presence.

Seeing this behavior and following the information transmitted by his Soul Devourer, Yun Che understood that one of the females was a bodyguard and the other was the princess of the Medusa Clan.

Yun Che stopped several meters away from them. Kael, the Revenant, stood directly behind him, motionless like a wall.

Eryon held his bone staff while analyzing every detail of the tent, and Valeria observed the two Medusas with her ruby-red eyes.

Nefrava kept several bandages moving slowly, while Morcant remained completely silent.

The skeletons were outside the tent, keeping watch and ready to report any movement.

The young Medusa swallowed nervously.

"Who are you?"

Yun Che did not immediately answer the question.

His eyes passed over the chains and wounds before returning to her face. He noticed that the woman was trying to appear calm, but her little snakes betrayed her tension.

Some of them rose whenever one of the Knights moved.

"Does that really matter? I’m the one who should be asking the questions."

The Medusa fell silent. The other woman answered first.

"It matters to us to know who is standing before us and what your intentions are."

Her voice was firm, but there was a slight falter at the end of the sentence. She immediately tried to hide it, pressing her fingers against her own palm.

Yun Che noticed.

"Fine. You can ask first."

The bodyguard hesitated.

"What happened outside, and what do you want with us? What are they?"

She discreetly pointed toward the undead. Yun Che looked at Kael, Eryon, Valeria, Nefrava, and Morcant before answering.

"They are my subordinates."

The five remained silent, but all of them simultaneously turned their gazes toward the two Medusas.

The young woman pressed her lips together.

"You are a necromancer."

"Yes."

The word fell inside the tent like a stone. Neither of them screamed, but the fear on their faces increased slightly.

Yun Che realized that this was exactly the kind of reaction he expected from someone who knew the reputation of necromancers.

He had no sect symbol on his new black clothes, did not look like an ordinary cultivator, and was surrounded by five creatures that appeared capable of killing anyone inside the tent.

He was also wearing a white mask with a red stripe. To these two women, he was not a savior, but a dangerous stranger.

The princess took a deep breath.

"Why did you release us?"

"Unlike the lizardmen and beastmen, you seem useful to me."

"What exactly do you need us for?"

"You are inhabitants of this Secret Realm. I entered here five days ago and still haven’t found any other disciples from my sect. I have spent this time exploring, observing, and gathering information, but you may know things that would take me much longer to discover."

The young Medusa lowered her eyes.

"We don’t know what happened outside. We were kidnapped several days ago."

"I didn’t ask that. You can tell me about the political and geographical structure."

She slowly raised her head.

Yun Che continued:

"I want to know what you know about this Secret Realm. I want to know about the races living in this region, the territories, the dangers, and anything else that could be useful."

The bodyguard frowned.

"And why should we answer?"

Yun Che remained motionless.

"Because I can kill you. As a necromancer, I see more use in dead people than living ones. If you refuse to tell me what I need to know, I’ll extract the information I need from your corpses."
