The Scumbag's Guide To Heroism
Chapter 643 | My Turn Now, Bestie
Chapter 643: 643 | My Turn Now, Bestie
Felicity rolled us before I could finish processing the threat. I went from looking down at her to staring up at her ceiling, and her knees settled on either side of my hips like she had planned the move three days ago and rehearsed it in a mirror.
Her hair fell forward in a messy blonde curtain that smelled of vanilla and sweat. She planted both palms flat on my chest and grinned down at me, flushed from her forehead to her collarbones, and that grin belonged to a girl who had just won a bet with herself.
"It’s my turn now, bestie."
"I wasn’t aware we were taking turns."
"You weren’t aware of a lot of things until about forty minutes ago." She rocked her hips once, slow, and I was still inside her, so the motion dragged a sound out of my throat that I would have denied under oath. "See, that right there is what I’ve been waiting three weeks to hear."
The fairy lights above the headboard painted her in soft gold. Every freckle stood out across her shoulders, and the ones scattered down her sternum led my eyes lower than any gentleman’s eyes should go. I had never claimed to be a gentleman, and Felicity had never asked me to pretend.
She sat up straight and rolled her shoulders back. Her breasts moved with the motion, full and heavy and still marked pink where my mouth had been, and she caught me staring and arched her spine another inch just to watch my face.
"Eyes up here, hero."
"You’re literally pushing them at me."
"I’m allowed to be generous and also judgmental at the same time." Her hands slid from my chest to my stomach, nails dragging lightly over muscle that the Demigod trait had carved without my permission. "God, this is so unfair to everyone at the gym."
"I don’t go to the gym."
"That makes it worse, Lukas, that makes it so much worse." She lifted her hips until only the tip of me remained inside her, held there long enough to make me grab her thighs, and then sank down in one slow stroke that made her eyes flutter shut. "Oh, okay, wow, I forgot about that part."
Her thighs trembled under my palms. I could feel the muscle working beneath the skin, the tension of a body holding itself back on purpose so it could take its time. She started moving in long rolls that ground her clit against me at the bottom of every stroke, and her breath came out in short little gasps that she did nothing to hide.
The bed frame complained in a low creak. Felicity ignored it and leaned forward, bracing her hands on either side of my head, so her hair closed around both of us and the fairy lights turned into a blur of warm color behind it.
"I want to try something," she whispered against my mouth.
"Is this going to end up on the Hero Network?"
"Only if you behave badly, so I guess that means probably." She kissed me once, quick and wet, and pulled back with a look that I had seen on her face exactly once before, during the Crucible, right before she flooded a plaza with forty copies of everyone I knew. "Look up at the ceiling for me."
I looked up. The ceiling rippled like water disturbed by a dropped stone, and then a mirror opened across the whole surface, wide and golden and impossibly clear.
I could see us. I could see the curve of her back from above, the dimples sitting low at the base of her spine, and my hands spread across her ass where her hips moved in slow circles. I could see my own face, which looked a lot less composed than I would have liked for a guy who once negotiated a federal inquiry into a coffee break.
"Mirage," Felicity breathed. Her hips kept moving while she held the illusion, and a bead of sweat ran down from her temple to her jaw. "I made it full sensory, so it has warmth and depth and everything. You can watch yourself fall apart now."
"That’s the most terrifying use of a Legendary-adjacent Aspect I’ve ever witnessed."
"Epic, technically. I’m Epic tier." She sat back up and the mirror followed the change, showing her from behind as she rode me, her hair swaying against her shoulder blades. "But I’m working on my ceiling. Mrs. Steele says I don’t push hard enough."
"You’re pushing pretty hard right now."
"I know." She laughed, breathless and a little cracked, and her hips stuttered when the laugh tightened something inside her. "Oh, fuck, okay, laughing is a mistake, laughing makes everything clench."
I learned that information immediately and filed it somewhere permanent.
The interface chose that moment to unfold across my vision in gold borders that pulsed against the fairy lights. It had waited all night for an opening, and it had apparently decided that this counted as one.
? Temptation Gauge Update: Felicity Hardy. Current reading stands at fifty-three percent and continues to climb. ?
? Status has advanced to Attached, and the subject has shifted from strategic pursuit to emotional commitment. ?
? Advisory: The subject is currently maintaining a full sensory illusion during intercourse, which suggests investment far beyond physical gratification. The Host should consider the implications at a more appropriate time. ?
I dismissed the window with a thought so hard that it practically left a dent in the air. Felicity noticed my eyes drift left and her hips slowed to a lazy grind.
"You just did the thing again."
"I’m thinking about you."
"Liar, you were reading something." She leaned down and bit my lower lip, hard enough to sting, and the Sadism trait purred somewhere deep in my chest at the small spark of pain. "Whatever it was, it can wait until I’m done with you."
"That’s fair."
"Everything I do is fair, and that’s my whole brand."
