The Scumbag's Guide To Heroism
Chapter 644 | I’ll Wait For That
Chapter 644: 644 | I’ll Wait For That
She sat back up and took both of my hands off her hips and dragged them up her stomach to her breasts, pressing my palms against her chest and holding them there with her own fingers laced over mine. "Squeeze them, and I don’t mean gently."
I squeezed. She gasped and her head fell back, her throat long and pale and flushed with color that ran from her jaw down between my fingers. Her nipples were hard against my palms, and when I rolled one between my thumb and forefinger, her whole body jerked and the mirror on the ceiling flickered.
"Careful with the illusion," I said.
"Don’t you dare tell me to be careful right now." She started moving faster, her hips snapping down in short sharp strokes that slapped skin against skin, and the sound filled the little room until it drowned out the acoustic guitar track on her speaker. "You don’t get to be careful tonight, and I don’t get to be careful either."
The mirror steadied, showing me the gold light running along her spine and the way her ass bounced against my thighs on every downstroke. I stopped trying to decide whether to watch the ceiling or her face, because both versions of her were the same girl coming apart above me and I was greedy.
I let go of her breasts and grabbed her hips and started thrusting up to meet her. The Demigod multiplier made the motion easy in a way that should have been illegal, and the first hard stroke pulled a shriek out of her that she clapped a hand over too late.
"Sorry," she said through her fingers. "Sorry, that one escaped, that one really escaped."
"Stop apologizing and keep going."
"Bossy, I love bossy, please be more bossy." She dropped the hand from her mouth and braced both palms against my stomach, riding me harder, her thighs shaking and her breath coming in ragged pulls. "I’m getting close again, and I hate how fast it happens with you."
My phone buzzed on the nightstand, rattling against the wood like an angry insect. Felicity ignored it. I ignored it. It buzzed again, three times in a row, and some deep instinct honed by nine years of living with Diane Fitzgerald made me glance over at the screen.
A preview sat on the lock screen, shining up at the ceiling mirror so I could read it twice.
The message came from Maribelle Kennedy, and it said, west tower walls are paper thin babe, nyx is taking notes, eleven dollars says she peaks again in four minutes.
Felicity followed my gaze and saw the preview in the mirror. Her eyes went wide. Her face flushed so red that the freckles disappeared into it, and the illusion overhead shattered into soft gold sparks that drifted down over both of us like snow.
"Oh my god, she can hear us."
"Apparently the whole floor can hear us."
"I’m going to commit a crime on that girl tomorrow, and I’m going to make it look like an accident." Felicity stopped moving for exactly two seconds, her chest heaving and her fists clenched on my stomach, and then her expression shifted into something wicked and stubborn. "You know what, though, let her listen."
"Felicity, wait a second."
"No, I’m done waiting, and I’m not losing eleven dollars of somebody else’s money to that crimson menace." She started moving again, slower now, grinding down in deep circles that made her bite her lip. "She bet four minutes, so I’m going to make it last at least five out of spite."
She lasted three minutes and twelve seconds. I counted because counting was the only thing keeping me from finishing before her, and because I knew Maribelle would demand an exact figure later.
The orgasm built in her slowly, starting in her thighs and climbing up her spine in waves I could feel through my palms. Her motions went sloppy and broken, losing all their pattern, and her fingernails dug into my stomach hard enough to leave little crescents of white.
"Lukas, I can’t, I can’t stop it." Her voice cracked high on my name. "Please hold me, please, I need you to hold me while it happens."
I sat up and wrapped both arms around her back, pulling her against my chest so her breasts pressed flat against me and her face dropped into the curve of my neck. Her legs locked around my waist, and I kept moving inside her, short deep strokes that matched the clench of her body around me.
She came with her teeth sunk into my shoulder. The scream got muffled against my skin, and her whole body shook in my arms like something electrical had grabbed her spine, and the fairy lights above the bed flared bright gold for a full second before dimming back to their usual glow.
The squeeze of her around me dragged me over the edge right behind her. I held her down against me and buried myself as deep as she could take, and I came hard enough that my vision whited out at the corners while my heart pounded against her chest.
The second heartbeat pressed outward under my sternum, patient and warm. Felicity felt it and went still against me, her breath hot on my neck, her fingers spreading flat across my back.
"Your chest is doing the thing again," she whispered.
"I know it is."
"It’s beating against me like it’s trying to say hello." She pulled back far enough to look down between us, at the place where my sternum pressed against her skin, and her blue eyes were wet and bright. "What is that, Lukas, seriously, what is that?"
"I honestly don’t know yet."
She studied my face for a long moment. I braced for the follow-up question, the push, the interrogation that most people would have launched after feeling something impossible move inside another person’s body.
Felicity just leaned forward and kissed the center of my chest, right over the spot where it pulsed, soft enough that I barely felt her lips.
"Okay," she murmured against my skin. "You can tell me when you figure it out, and I’ll wait for that."
