Chapter 642: 642 | I Want In

I pulled her hips back to meet mine and the collision made a sound that would have been audible from the hallway. Felicity bit the pillow and screamed into it and her body clenched around me in a wave that traveled from the point of contact outward.

I grabbed her waist with both hands and held her in place and drove forward with the kind of force that the Demigod multiplier made available and that the hundred Strength stat made sustainable and that no human body should have been able to produce or receive without something breaking.

Nothing broke. Felicity was tougher than she looked, or her body had decided that breaking constituted a poor use of this particular evening.

"Don’t stop," she panted between impacts. "Don’t you dare stop. I swear to god Lukas if you stop I will create an illusion of you stopping and force you to watch it and you will never forgive yourself."

"That’s the most unhinged threat anyone has ever made during sex."

"I contain multitudes."

I pulled out and flipped her onto her back and the transition took less than a second and Felicity’s eyes went wide at the speed before her legs wrapped around my waist and her heels dug into my lower back and she pulled me inside her again with a force that matched my own.

Her arms went around my neck and her nails raked down my back hard enough to leave marks that the Demigod trait would erase by morning, which I found mildly offensive because the marks deserved to last.

The angle change found something inside her that the previous position had missed, and I knew this because Felicity’s eyes rolled back and her mouth fell open and the sound that came out was not a word in any language but communicated everything that words could not.

Her grip on my shoulders tightened until her fingers turned white and her legs pulled me deeper with every thrust and her hips rose to meet mine in a rhythm that had nothing to do with coordination and everything to do with pure biological demand.

"I’m close," she gasped, and her voice cracked on the second word. "I’m so close and I don’t want it to end but I can’t hold it and please don’t stop and oh god right there, right there, right fucking there..."

I lowered my mouth to her ear and spoke into it with the voice that the System could not modulate and Diane could not coach and Sloane would recognize through a wall.

"Come."

Felicity shattered. Her entire body locked around mine and her back arched off the mattress and she grabbed the back of my head and pressed my face into her neck and screamed my name loud enough that the fairy lights flickered from whatever her Aspect did when her concentration failed completely.

The room filled with soft gold light that was not the System and was not the second heartbeat and was just Felicity’s Smoke and Mirrors bleeding through at the edges because her conscious control had evaporated into the warm November night.

The clenching of her body around me pushed me over the edge and I buried myself as deep as the physics allowed and came with a force that the Sadism trait amplified into something that lasted longer than it should have, every pulse drawing a fresh wave of feedback that my nervous system interpreted as fuel rather than exhaustion.

We stayed locked together for twelve seconds that I counted because counting was the only cognitive function I had available while the rest of my brain rebooted from wherever it had gone during the final thirty seconds.

Felicity’s arms loosened around my neck and she fell back onto the pillow with her chest heaving and her skin flushed pink from her hairline to her navel and her eyes unfocused and her mouth slightly open and a slow, devastating smile spreading across her face.

"Holy shit," she whispered.

"Yeah."

"I broke your fairy lights."

"Those are your fairy lights."

"They’re ours now. I’m declaring joint custody." She reached up and touched my face with trembling fingers, pushing my hair back from my forehead and tracing the scar through my eyebrow with her thumb. "You’re still inside me."

"I noticed."

"Don’t move yet." She wrapped her legs tighter around my waist and her heels locked at the small of my back. "I want to feel this for another minute before my brain turns back on and starts making lists."

I propped myself on my elbows and looked down at her face and the fairy lights, which had recovered from whatever Felicity’s Aspect had done to them, painted her in gold and shadow. The freckles. The blue eyes.

The hair spread across the pillow in waves that caught every photon in the room. The smile that sat on her face without performance or construction, raw and satisfied and absolutely unafraid of being seen.

The System generated a notification that I dismissed before it could form a complete sentence. Whatever number wanted to update, whatever gauge wanted to climb, whatever editorial observation the interface held about my moral architecture could wait until morning.

"Lukas," Felicity said, and her voice was the real one, the one that existed underneath everything else, the one she had shown me in pieces over three weeks and given me whole tonight.

"Yeah."

"I lied earlier." She pulled my face down to hers and kissed me slowly, tasting like chamomile and salt and the specific chemistry of a girl who had just gotten exactly what she asked for. "I don’t want to be your friend."

"I know."

"I want to be yours. Whatever that means. However complicated it gets. Whoever else is in the room." Her blue eyes held mine without blinking. "I want in."

The second heartbeat beneath my sternum pressed outward, warm, and for a moment I felt something that the System had no bracket notation for and the Oracle Feed could not reduce to a percentage.

"You’re in," I said.

Felicity’s smile widened until it crinkled the corners of her eyes and shifted the freckles across her nose, and she tightened her legs around me and rolled her hips in a slow grind that made both of us inhale through our teeth.

"Good," she murmured. "Because I wasn’t done."
