Evangeline watched Davey cast a preservation spell on the colossal bluefin tuna he'd laid out on the beach.

“Dad. The chat's blowing up right now.”

Apparently, Evangeline's chat had blown up after word quickly spread that several species of ancient creatures never before discovered alive had been found.

“Chat?”

“Yeah.”

He stopped for a moment before finally remarking, “You know, I totally forgot to ask. Aren’t you streaming right now? What are you doing here in the first place? And of course, it’d be blowing up! People joined to watch your stream, not this old man and his boring old fishing.”

Evangeline frowned at his reply. Then, she grumbled and tossed the tablet to him, “Just see for yourself.”

He took the tablet and saw the chat on fire.

[O-oh no!! Leaving that out in the blazing sun like that...]

[He’s seriously going to ruin that thing doing that...]

[Please... please! I don't know if it's still alive, but put it in the water please...]

Davey chuckled, seeing them panic. “Come on, guys. You came here to watch Eva draw, so why are you talking about some random old man, or as they say these days, unc, fish? Go on, coax your streamer to get back to the original content.”

[Nah, this is way more fun.]

[Hmph. An unc? If you’re an unc, what does that make us, grandmas and grandpas?]

“Since I’ve been a dad for a while, that makes me an old man. Don't you know the neighbor next door vibe?”

[This crazy guy calling himself the neighbor next door despite actually being the most famous dude in the world.]

[Wait, more importantly, that precious thing's drying up!!! Do you even know how hot the sun is on the beach?!]

“Oh, don’t worry about that.” Davey brushed his finger lightly across the blue flesh of the tuna. “I’m preserving it by injecting it with vitality.”

[???]

[What did I just hear?]

[Well, if the Saint says so, then it must be true. Quit complaining y’all.]

Evangeline gave Davey an exasperated look and smacked him on the back. “Dad, just explain what you’re doing.”

“Ah. Should I?”

“Yes.”

Davey gestured with a playful look, and a handful of seawater beaded and floated up in front of him. “I’m forcefully injecting vitality to prevent it from deteriorating... but the explanation is really complicated, so I’ll pass on that. You viewers came here to chill, not for a lecture, right?”

In response to his half-hearted answer, the chat went absolutely nuts.

[No, no, please teach us.]

[Holy crap lol. If a preservation spell like that’s possible, doesn’t that basically mean immortality is a thing? DAMN]

[Knowing what’s going on now, this is hella ridiculous loools]

Of course, basic preservation magic existed, but it only slowed things like decomposition down.

Naturally, what Davey was doing was only possible in special cases where he could wield an enormous amount of vitality, but such details didn't seem to matter to those people called mages.

Ding!

[Lord of the Mage Tower of Huguwart School of Magic has donated 5,000,000 Won.]

- Please at least tell us the principle.

Davey knew Huguwart was a magic tower in Europe for magic-type Awakened individuals. It was similar to the mage tower in Tionis, and was known to have several locations on Earth.

“Oh, wow, thank you to the Lord of the Mage Tower of Huguwart School of Magic for the five million won. Eva, since I earned this, can I do a donation reaction and take the money?”

“Do whatever you want.”

“Alright, let's go then.” With those words, he turned the camera toward the ocean and stretched out his hand.

[??? What's he gonna do...?]

[Holy shit :O]

“Hmph!!!” He released a tremendous amount of mana from his hand. The sea erupted upward and instantly froze, forming a colossal ice sculpture.

“Hrrgh!!!” The beautiful sculpture soon swayed at the movement of his fingertips.

Crumble! Crash!

At the same time, a massive amount of mana condensed. For a moment, the sky seemed to change color, and then the mountain of ice instantly shattered into countless specks of light.

It was no doubt an extreme waste of mana.

[Holy moly... Seriously, that's the first time I've ever seen such wasteful and nonsensical magic in my life...]

[No way, that's possible?! That's the kind of thing you only see in comics or movies brooo]

[Mages are looking up movies and comics KEKLEO]

[Bro I’m just describing how unrealistic it is KEKW]

Most viewers were dumbfounded by the absurd demonstration.

“Is this not enough? Rinne, they say my donation reaction is lacking. Turn this party up, will you?”

Following his words, her eyes shone blue. “Command accepted.”

Then three pairs of pure white wings made of light sprouted from her back, and countless particles spread across the sky.

Rinne solidified the particles into light and scattered them, making them flash like club lights, all while pumping out some unidentifiable what seemed like trendy music. Then, she started doing a strange dance with her petite body.

[???]

[Is this a club?]

[Is he being deadass loools]

[LOLOLOLOL IM DEAD]

[THAT DANCE THO]

“Alright. That’s enough,” Davey finally said. “Still, this is my daughter’s stream, so I can’t hog the spotlight anymore.”

[No, keep going pleaseee]

[This is insane, the scale of this is wild lmao]

[KEKW]

[KEKW]

Surprisingly enough, the atmosphere didn't seem bad. Meanwhile, Yuria was using spirits to remove the parasites inside the tuna.

[I have a question for the Saint of Tionis.]

“What is it?”

[Why aren't you streaming these days?]

Davey fell silent for a moment. He had indeed streamed for a while when he visited Earth in the past, and had continued to do so from time to time ever since.

[I'm still subscribed to the channel.]

[Yeah, what’s going on?]

[Can.]

[Celled.]

[Can.]

[Celled.]

Ding!

[Constellation Sagittarius has donated 500,000 Won.]

- The Saint should awaken. Awaken!

[Constellation Leo has donated 500,000 Won.]

- Lost his beginner grindset. Tsk, tsk.

Davey menacingly smiled, concentrating a massive ball of energy in one hand and giving it form. “Constellation Sagittarius. Leo. You two trying to die today?”

At that moment, another donation came in.

[Constellation Sagittarius has donated 1,000,000 Won.]

- No, sir, no.

Then Constellation Leo did the same.

The chat loved the interaction.

[Two trolls eliminated just like that KEKLEO]

“The reason I haven't been streaming...? It's nothing serious, I've just been busy being a dad lately. Do you guys know? My wife's pregnant with our youngest right now! She was craving tuna, so I came here to catch some for her.”

As a father with intense love for his children, he couldn't help but boast again.

[Is it a daughter? A son?]

“What's it to you?”

[If it’s a daughter, she’s worthy of being matched with the sole male heir of our Baek clan...]

“You're out.” Davey, who instantly banned the user, made an exaggerated uh-oh face. “Ah. I forgot this is Eva’s stream. Did I get too carried away?”

[LOLOL the dad and daughter are the same LMAO]

[Seriously he’s so unhinged lul]

[I guess the apple doesn't fall far from the tree heh]

[Hold up though, that dude’s hella crazy loools what's with the sole male heir of the Baek clan? LMAO]

[Cross the line, you get banned, banned!!!]

[Bro’s asking to be beaten to death by the baby daddy loools]

Since the overseas viewers seemed confused, Davey gave a brief explanation and handed the tablet back to Evangeline. “Eva, I’m going to clean up here and head back to the hotel, so go ahead and wrap up so you can come back too.”

She seemed to think for a moment before speaking.

“Everyone, in case you forgot, this is still a drawing stream. So, I was thinking, couldn't something like this make a good subject to draw too?”

She set up her spot on the sandy beach. She then instantly pulled out a canvas and other supplies from her spatial pouch. “But if I just draw it as-is, it'll be boring, so I'll change things up a little.”

[Change things up?]

“The great... what was the name of that thing again?”

When Evangeline paused, the chat quickly filled up.

[Super elephant bluefin tuna loools]

[Seriously, the name’s so half-assed ngl lols]

[L for elephant lols]

“Anyway. The concept for today’s drawing is the super elephant bluefin tuna, caught by a human...” Evangeline paused for a moment and then picked up a brush dipped in thick paint. It was a bold move, with no sketching beforehand.

“Personification.”

She moved her hand at an incredible speed, and she immediately started painting.

After Davey finished preparing the tuna, he became curious about her painting. He walked up behind her, only to fall silent for a moment.

He saw a gigantic tuna sprawled out on the beach. Well, to be precise, it was a bizarre drawing of a tuna with human legs wearing stockings.

It also showed himself standing in front of the sobbing super elephant bluefin tuna with a long sashimi knife in hand and an ominous grin on his face, while the members of the Gourmet Research Society watched on with sparkling eyes.

The problem was that even though the painting was so strange, the quality was so good that his mind briefly went blank before snapping back.

‘What did I just see? What am I even supposed to call that? A mermaid? Wait, no, it’s not a mermaid. It’s a giant fish with human legs. A fish person? That seems weird too.’

Confusion and terror washed over him. It felt like staring into a horrific abyss.

‘Even if your birth mother became a Princess of the Abyss, you shouldn't be like this...’

“Eva... What in the actual...”

[No way loools what are those legs boss]

[This is hella annoying no cap lolols]

[Bro my eyessss]

[Boss must be out of her mind gg]

[Where did our innocent boss go...?]

[Look, even the Saint of Tionis is speechless LMAO]

[The corruption of a daughter that even her dad can't understand lawls]

“It’s you guys, isn’t it? You’re all the ones who corrupted my daughter like this, huh?!”

[Why are you blaming us lols]

[Don't say anything to boss!!!]

Evangeline O'Rowane. His precious daughter, who had dreamed of being a hero and was the epitome of innocence, had become completely corrupted in too short a time.

As it turned out, finding chefs to cook the super elephant bluefin tuna wasn’t difficult. Several chefs specializing in Japanese cuisine who had heard about the event through Evangeline's stream, along with Al Hajat's personal Japanese chefs who'd been invited as guests, were all brought in to help.

With everyone who showed interest in preparing the gigantic tuna being gathered together in a short amount of time, the show of dismantling the colossal bluefin tuna went smoother than expected.

Of course, it helped that the manager of the luxury hotel, who had been watching Eva's stream, sponsored the event in exchange for massive publicity.

While it would’ve obviously cost a fortune to hire each of the chefs individually, after tasting the giant tuna once, they’d immediately offered to cook for free in exchange for taking a cut of the meat. They also seemed satisfied with the exposure and the large portion of tuna they received.

Naturally, there was a lot of fuss, but nothing major became a problem.

The giant tuna offered a flavor beyond imagination, just as Rinne and Yuria's reports had noted. It was quite unique, especially considering that colossal squids, unlike regular squids, were usually too chewy and tasteless.

Davey heard that Yuria had used a special ingredient to enhance the flavor, which meant they had already eaten some of the massive tuna raw. Naturally, the chefs who had offered to help were also captivated by the tenderness and flavor of the tuna prepared with that special ingredient, so Yuria reluctantly gave them a little of it.

Her gesture carried an almost arrogant challenge for them to figure out her secret, but she clearly had absolute confidence in her skills. The crazy elf who had once been obsessed with tea had developed cooking skills impressive enough to amaze even world-class chefs.

It was simply amazing that the entire event had come about from a single-minded desire to eat delicious and healthy food.

“Please try some,” Davey said to Illyna.

“Oh my goodness... it feels like it's melting in my mouth. It's truly delicious. Thank you so much.” She meticulously wiped her mouth with a napkin, her face beaming with happiness.

“Haha. I was only doing my job. I couldn't be happier to hear that you enjoyed it.”

Apart from her, everyone else who tasted a piece of the ridiculously massive tuna couldn't stop exclaiming in amazement.

“This is incredible! I've had tons of gourmet meals, but this one will truly be unforgettable.”

“I’m glad you enjoyed it.”

Then Davey saw Al Hajat, who should've been extremely busy with work, leisurely enjoying the tasting. “Hey Al Hajat. I thought you were busy?”

“I left it to Antonio. I rarely get an opportunity like this, so how could I refuse a friend's invitation?”

“Hmph.”

“Surely you weren't planning to not even invite me?”

“Of course not.”

“Ahahaha. By the way... it's quite noisy outside the hotel.”

“They’re probably gathered because of the ancient creatures or the megalodon, not just the tuna.”

Whether they were journalists or scholars, he couldn’t care less.

“By the way, I heard the news,” Al Hajat told him. “Congratulations.”

“Thanks. Seriously. At this rate, I'll end up creating a soccer team.”

“Haha. Should I be the one to fund the club? They’re your children, so I’m sure they’ll sweep every tournament and season, which means the club's value will be—” Davey looked at him with a rather concerned face.

“Hahahahaha! I'm just saying!” Sometimes, what Al Hajat said often didn't sound like a joke at all.

“How's the business you were running doing?” Davey asked him.

“The eSports things? Well, it's going smoothly. There are plenty of talented young players, though I did have quite a headache when a match-fixing scandal broke out.”

“Wow, that’s crazy.”

“I expected it. It’s a business I started as a hobby anyway, so why would I put them through a tight schedule?”

“If the world knew that, they’d be pretty demoralized.”

After all, Al Hajat was the kind of person whose mere appearance at an official event could send the media into a frenzy.

“Oh. Davey, do you know what they call it when pilots talk on the phone?”

“Isn’t it just radio communication?”

“No. Some call it flying phones. Haha. They said it’s a funny joke in Korea. What do you think?”[1]

“...You really shouldn’t try telling that anywhere.”

‘So he’s the reason Evangeline became so eccentric...’

Davey felt dizzy again.

‘And he’s the richest man in the world?’

As he stared at him, dumbfounded, Al Hajat lightly took a bite of food with his chopsticks and remarked, “Davey, I have another question for you.”

“What is it?”

“The youngest child due this time... is he or she the only human among your children?”

Davey wore a blank expression at that question.

Super Ribbon, Blue Ribbon, and Red Ribbon were sword spirits.

Willow was a goddess.

Darian was a beastfolk.

Evangeline was an ancient dragon.

Abel was half demon.

‘Now that I think about it, the youngest will be the only human child.’

Davey realized a fact he hadn't considered before and gasped. However, Perserque, who was perched on his shoulder and nibbling with her tiny mouth, quietly added, “Davey, it’s hard to consider you human anymore, don’t you think?”

“Huh? Is that how it works?”

Just as he was pondering, Rinne slowly poked her head out from one side of the table he was sitting at and placed a pouch of gold coins that she had pulled out from who knows where. “Rinne evaluates betting on the youngest child being human with all this money highly.”

“Hey you, are you gambling with my youngest?”

“Rinne reports that Master Davey can back out if he is a chicken.”

“You demigod bastard! I'll take that and raise you two more pouches. You’re screwed.”

Davey pulled out money pouches from his Pocket Plane and added the same amount, and Perserque, sitting on his shoulder, jabbed him hard on the cheek with a tiny, accusatory look. “That's a fine thing you're doing.”

He turned to her, mocking, “You chicken?”

“I’ll also bet on human, then. Even if you are a being capable of divine manifestation, you've become an ambiguous being that's hard to precisely describe.”

‘See? You’re no different than me.’

Just then.

A loud crash rang out as something toppled over, drawing everyone's attention in that direction.

* * *

At the same time at the Saint Sanctuary.

A gambling match was also taking place.

Bang!

A woman set down a sack as big as a person.

Another beautiful woman with flowing, pale violet hair cautiously mumbled, “The youngest is a demigod. If you’re chicken, just drop dead.”

Rho Aias, the Death Lord, had a more straightforward personality than expected.

“I’ll raise you. All-in. Human,” Ares, the Sword God, retorted with impudent casualness. “My descendant’s bloodline will triumph over everything.”

“Is that really a thing? I'm a demigod too, though my blood might be a little diluted. I'll bet on being quarter-blood.”

With Daphne, the First Saintess, joining, the heroes threw down their stakes one after another.

“I'll raise you this much more! Everyone in!”

Odin, who was watching the chaotic scene with a cold expression, sneered, “Why don't those fools realize there's no reason to take on that kind of risk?”

The woman sitting next to Odin with her eyes closed slowly moved.

“So. Human? Demigod?”

At the question, Goddess Freyja quietly looked at Odin. The look in her eyes seemed to ask why she wanted to know.

“If I know the answer, I can go sweep up the pot.”

The Goddess stroked her small head, and Odin ultimately let out a frustrated yell. “Who are you treating as a kid! I’m going to incinerate that bastard!”

She vented her misplaced rage at the innocent Davey.

1. Payphones in Korea are called GongJung GeonHwa (????) and GongJung (??) separately also means “mid-air”. So the pilots in “mid-air” communicating to each other is the joke here. One could understand a hesitant or unsupportive response to this joke. ☜
