The Mage's 5 Fated Alphas (BL)
Chapter 105: Marina is not Human?
The array will dig out their deepest, most embarrassing fears and play them out loud the whole time they stay inside!"
Nox leaned against the tree and laughed out loud, the earlier sulking completely gone.
"Perfect. I really want to see someone get caught."
Moon stood still, watching the dense, humming protective mist settle around the courtyard.
A relaxed breath finally left his chest.
The courtyard was fully secured.
Any uninvited guest was in for a very ridiculous surprise.
He could leave Marina here with more ease when he needed to enter the Lost Realm.
He still couldn’t decide if she was truly an ally, and Vadira’s real identity remained unclear.
For now, it was safer to keep the Lost Realm hidden from her.
Moon stood still for a moment longer, watching the white mist settle around the courtyard walls.
Then he turned to the others.
"Go back and continue practicing. Don’t slack off just because the formation is done.
We only have eight more days to sign up, and eleven days to prepare for the full moon awakening."
Nox frowned in confusion.
"Isn’t registration after the full moon?"
"We need to go there and list our names first. The trials start after the full moon," Moon clarified.
"No matter what, we need to hurry."
Nox still looked a little unwilling to leave his side, but he only grunted and nodded.
Axe cracked his neck and grinned.
"Don’t worry, baby. I’ll make sure this guy doesn’t run off sulking again."
Nox shot him a glare, but the two of them still turned to Lupine to be sent back inside.
Moon watched their backs until they disappeared. 𝒻𝘳ℯℯ𝑤ℯ𝒷𝘯ℴ𝓋ℯ𝘭.𝑐ℴ𝑚
Then he walked into the house.
Oshan and the others were sitting around a low table, playing a board game.
The noise and fog outside had not disturbed them at all.
But from the calm look in Oshan’s and the nanny’s eyes when they saw him, Moon guessed they already knew he had been outside.
They were just pretending not to notice.
Moon sat down beside Marina and ruffled her hair. She looked more vibrant than before.
The little girl immediately brightened.
"Brother! I missed you so much. Are you staying this time?"
Moon shook his head and gently took her small wrist in his palm.
"No. Be good and stay here. We will be back soon. Brother will refine a face-alteration pill for you later so you can move around more freely."
He comforted her for a moment, then looked at Oshan and smiled.
"Everything good?"
"Some rats and mice might show up soon," Oshan answered casually.
"A dog was sniffing around the south alpine forest yesterday. It won’t take them long to find this place."
"Hmm. I already set a protection here. If it gets triggered, you’ll know. Just send me a message."
Oshan raised a brow. "How?"
Moon felt a little conflicted for a second.
Then he suddenly remembered the contractual relationship between them.
A small, almost evil smile curved his lips.
"Draw a bit of your blood. Give me a tiny piece of your pierced heart. I’ll probably get a hint."
"Fuck! Are you even human?" Oshan cursed.
"Ah! Oshan, don’t swear in front of the child," Amelia scolded unhappily.
"Okay, okay." Oshan immediately surrendered.
Moon realized that idea was too extreme.
He searched through his storage and finally found something usable.
He placed a small stone vase on the corner table.
"If someone outside tries to break in, put a siki inside this vase."
The vase was something he had found inside the Lupine Palace.
It was small enough that taking it out in front of others was safe.
If a valuable stone was placed inside, it would be sent straight into the palace.
Moon clicked his tongue.
In his original world, Lupine must have been a stingy thief to create something like this.
After finishing the arrangement, he was ready to leave.
But Amelia stopped him.
"I made some cookies, and there’s more dried food. Take them with you. Don’t starve."
Her aged voice carried quiet warmth and care. Moon took her hand and nodded.
"Thank you, Amelia."
He accepted the food and walked outside.
The moment he stepped into the yard, his face turned grave.
When he held Marina’s wrist earlier, he had secretly sent a thin thread of spiritual Qi to check her pulse and condition.
Marina’s blood was nothing like his werewolf mates.
Her entire being was sealed by a power far stronger than his own.
Not only that—Amelia was not a wolf either. She was not even human.
Her blood and core were also sealed.
"What are you worrying about?" Oshan had somehow come out and found Moon standing frozen in the yard.
Moon asked softly, "Oshan... are you human?"
"Hmm. I am, for sure." Oshan chuckled.
Moon didn’t know how much Oshan understood about Marina, so he held back from saying more. This was something Vadira had trusted him with.
He couldn’t break that trust.
"Oshan, don’t let Marina go to her mother too often. Also reduce Maggi’s time here."
Oshan looked surprised, but he still nodded.
"Okay. Is there a reason?"
"It’s not good for Marina or for her. Vadira wants them separated. You know they’re in a critical position in the city."
"Indeed. Though I don’t think Vadira will ever get caught. He’s been inside the Vaelis pack since childhood."
"Really? Why do you think he won’t get caught?" Moon asked, curious.
"Vadira is tied to Emma, the Second Nova. His soul is contracted to her. He’s Emma’s slave."
A flash of surprise passed through Moon’s eyes. So that was why Vadira wanted the brothers kept safe outside.
"Doesn’t that make him even more suspicious?" Moon asked.
"The most suspicious ones are usually the ones who never commit treason. Vadira willingly stepped down from his Delta position and took over the defectives. He helped the Vaelis pack so much that they’re indebted to him. Not to mention his wife died rescuing Silas."
Moon looked at Oshan with a face full of question marks. ’How many wives does Vadira have?’
Oshan chuckled.
