The Mage's 5 Fated Alphas (BL)
Chapter 106: Trouble at home
Oshan chuckled.
"One. Maggi. And the dead one is also her, just under a different name—the great general Aslia. So right now, Maggi is his open lover in public."
Moon nodded and decided not to dig deeper.
His mind was already full of what he had just discovered.
A non-human existence.
And a non-werewolf one as well.
What exactly were they that they needed to be hidden so carefully?
He put the food bag into his storage and said goodbye to Oshan.
Then he returned to the boulder beside the Starlily pond.
He sat down and began meditating.
His Novice 9-star cultivation was slowly filling, but without external help, the progress was far too slow.
He crushed a few spirit stones and sank into deep meditation, forcing all the questions and answers out of his mind for a while.
After a long time, when dawn approached, Moon’s vitality was finally full again.
He sent the food to Ugo and into the Lupine Palace.
He also asked Lupine to grant everyone easy entry and exit permission so he could concentrate on his own work.
Only then did he take out the cauldron again.
The black cauldron was still warm.
Moon sat cross-legged, took out the remaining materials from his mother’s storage, and began sorting them carefully.
Rejuvenation pills.
Common recovery pills.
And a few basic ones that cultivators used every day.
But this world was different.
Werewolves didn’t have spiritual cores the same way mages did.
Their power ran through blood and wolf spirit.
If he refined the pills exactly like in his old world, the effect might be weak... or even harmful.
Moon closed his eyes and let his divine sense sink into the materials one by one.
He tested the affinity of each herb against the wolves.
He even summoned Nox once and asked for a drop of his blood.
Nox was so happy that he accidentally cut too deep and sliced a piece of his own flesh.
Moon had to slap several healing elixirs on him and send him back before the idiot bled all over the boulder.
After that, Moon adjusted the ratios carefully.
He changed the fire temperature.
He even mixed a tiny drop of Sikimon heart powder into the base formula to see how it reacted.
He replaced some of his old-world herbs with local ones and flipped back and forth between the witch guide and his own manuals.
After almost half a day of careful testing, he finally found a stable path.
Moon rolled up his sleeves and started refining in earnest.
Hiss...
Crack...
Ping.
Batch after batch came out.
Some were low-grade green.
Some reached mid-grade red.
A few even carried a faint silver sheen that made his eyes brighten.
He stored every successful pill carefully.
By the time the sky began to darken again, the boulder was surrounded by empty herb bags and a small pile of failed ash.
Moon wiped the sweat from his forehead and leaned back against the cushion Nox had left behind.
His mortal-grade soul was exhausted again, but the results were worth it.
He took out papers and began writing a short list with his divine sense.
Things that could help awaken a sleeping wolf spirit.
Things that could calm a rabid or unstable one.
Formations that could suppress blood frenzy.
Weapons that could channel wolf spirit without rejecting it.
And one more item at the very bottom—
Transformation Pill.
Not the banned, unstable version the witches in this world made.
A stable and safe one that didn’t need to be forbidden.
Moon stared at that last line for a long time.
If he could make even one of those, Leo and Rio’s future would become much safer.
And later... maybe the others as well.
But the ingredients for almost everything on the list were rare.
Especially the ones needed for the Transformation Pill and the higher-grade calming formations.
He didn’t have enough left in his storage, nor inside the Lupine Palace.
Moon’s fingers tightened around the jade slip.
There was only one place left to look. The other three entrances of the Lost Realm.
.
.
.
Inside the Lupine Palace, Nox sat cross-legged on the platform again, the new formation plate already set aside.
He was forcing his soul power into thinner and thinner threads, trying to draw more complex lines.
Axe stood a few steps away, swinging the heavy blade until his arms burned, then putting it down to carve another communication jade.
Neither of them spoke much.
The earlier tension still lingered between them, but both had thrown themselves into practice.
Lupine floated above them, occasionally scolding, occasionally nodding in satisfaction.
The air inside the palace felt tight, almost suffocating.
On the third day after the courtyard formation was set, a small sikimon suddenly dropped right in front of Lupine.
The old spirit’s eyes lit up. He opened the voice transmission channel at once.
Oshan’s urgent voice rang through the palace.
"Moon. Someone’s at the gate."
Lupine stood up with great vigor, clearly excited for some entertainment.
He immediately called Moon as well.
Moon’s eyes snapped open on the boulder. He stood up and sent a short reply.
"Don’t open it. I’m coming."
He also called Ugo out from the sanctuary.
At the same time, Nox and Axe were pulled out of the Lupine Palace.
The four of them appeared under the tree just as the white mist around the courtyard walls began to stir.
Outside the main gate, a small group stood in neat formation.
At the front was a young woman with a pure, elegant aura—Lyra of the Lyris Ash Pack.
Beside her stood the arrogant young master from the Vesper Moon Pack, the same boy who had mocked them in the tavern before.
Several guards and pack members stood behind them, all dressed cleanly and looking righteous.
Lyra lifted her chin and spoke in a clear, superior voice.
"People of this courtyard, listen well. I am Lyra of the Lyris Ash Pack. We have received reliable information that the fugitive group—including the defective wolves and the black witch called Moon—is hiding here."
"Open the gate and surrender. If you cooperate, we can still speak of the Alpha’s mercy."
