The Mafia Lord Forgotten Bride
Chapter 32: I’m married
"I told you. I said it. I already told you that," Ellie said in a singsong as she danced around the dinning.
They were all having dinner together with Evelyn when June dropped the news that Chris had invited her to the mansion.
That moment, Ellie dropped her spoon and started doing a silly dance June knew she would never do in public.
Evelyn smiled at her as if it were the most funny thing she had ever seen.
Whenever June saw the way Evelyn looked at Ellie daily, she wanted someone to look at her in that manner too. She wanted so much love from someone she’s related to.
And she knew she was going to give her child so much love. She touched her stomach lightly.
Satisfied by her dance and song, Ellie finally sat down back to eat her food. "When are you going over to the mansion?"
June shrugged. "I don’t know yet. Chris promised to come pick me up one of the days I have my off."
Ever since Chris had said those words to her, June had been in an incredibly good mood.

"Are you yet to get anything on my wife?" Rauf asked Chris on the phone.
Every single day without his wife seemed to be more and more boring. It didn’t help that Amie had been calling him everyday to come keep her company at the mansion.
It had been two days since he had found the Vassari heir. Yet, they were yet to find a single thing about his wife.
"I told you to give me something else apart from her name alone."
"Okay. I already told you I don’t have her pictures."
And the last thing he wanted to do was ask the Trevors. It might only arouse their suspicion if he asked about June. He wasn’t ready to risk a single thing until he was sure of what’s happening.
"Fine. Give me few days and I would find your woman."
Rauf nodded, and hung up.
He was getting tired of everything relating to New Central State. He just wanted to leave as soon as he can and be with his wife.
"I think I have to start searching for her myself, relying on Junox is taking longer than I expected."
Henson nodded. "Yes, boss. I’ll arrange our contact to start searching for Miss."
Rauf nodded.
If only he had her picture or knew any of her socials, things might have been easier.
But June had always been a private person.

"Just let me know anything you want and it will be delivered to you." Chris said.
The table was filled with all sorts of food and fruits. Serena had made sure the kitchen workers were able to do all things to satisfy Amie.
"Anything?" Amie replied, her eyeballs almost popping out of their socket. "What if I want a new car?"
Chris smiled. "You can have two new ones.
"And what if I want a house of my own?"
This time, Chris chuckled. "Mother was already planning to gift you an estate for your welcome back."
Amie could hardly believe her ears. "An estate?"
Chris nodded. "Yes. All in your name, Xena Vassari."
At the mention of the name, Amie frowned. It wasn’t her name but June.
What if they were to know she wasn’t Serena’s daughter, it would be easy to collect everything they have gotten for her in June’s name.
She couldn’t lose everything she was about to gain here.
"Is something wrong?" Chris asked, noticing the frown on her face.
"Did something happen to you?" Serena asked. She had dropped her spoon on the plate.
Ever since Rauf had brought Amie to the mansion, she had always been by her side.
She was ready to make up for the years she had missed in her daughter’s life.
Amie shook her head. "Not really. I’m not just used to the name Xena Vassari. All my life, I have been Amie. Now, I have to suddenly change my name, it sounds weird."
Serena cooed, picking her spoon back up to eat. Hearing that her daughter was fine brought her ease. "Don’t worry, darling. It you don’t want to be called Xena, we will continue to call you Amie."
"And what about the things you promised to get me? can they also be bought with my name, Amie?"
"Of course, darling. Remember what Chris said, just let us know anything you want. Just anything, I’ll try my best to give it to you."
Amie opened and closed her mouth.
She sat properly, and continued eating. There was no way she was ever going to leave this family, not when they could give her exactly the life she wants.
"And try to print out the invitations. I want everyone to know my daughter is back," Serena told Chris.
She planned to tell the world that her daughter was back, and introduced Amie to everyone that matters in New Central State.
"What?" Amie said.
She was lost in thought about being found out and she hadn’t listened to the conversation between Chris and Serena.
Serena turned towards Amie’s voice. "I said I plan on making your welcome party the biggest event of the century. I want everyone in New Central State to know I have found my only daughter."
Amie’s eyes widened in shock. "You will host a welcome party for me."
Chris nodded, still smiling. "It’s what mother has always wanted. You’re her biggest dream and now that she has you with her, she’s ready to do anything for you. So, don’t look too surprised." He turned back towards Serena. "I’m just hoping that now that Xena is back, mother will be willing to have your eyes operated on."
"Of course." Serena said with a little eagerness. "There’s nothing I want so badly than to see the face of my little one. The last time I saw you, you were so little and cute. I’m certain you’ll be just as cute as you were then. Isn’t she cute, Chris?"
"Of course, she is."
The dining was fun and Amie had no idea when she started feeling at home. She didn’t want the dinner to finish. And she didn’t want to leave for her room.
Serena was such a wonderful woman. She kept on bringing topics that delights her and she never hides the fact that she plan on spoiling her.
"I want you to meet the sons of my friend. They’re such gentlemen."
Amie found her cheeks turning red. At that moment, she was tempted to accept. Maybe one of them would make the perfect replacement of Rauf.
If Rauf continued not to give her attention, she could always seek it from somewhere else. And that too someone as wealthy as Rauf.
But what if Rauf told them she was his wife. After all, it seemed he had a personal relationship with them. She would just have to settle for having Rauf.
Amie forced a smile on her face. "That won’t be necessary, mother. I’m already married."
The sound of cutleries dropping on the plate echoed in the room. Serena and Chris spoke at the same time.
"You’re married. I can’t believe I miss one of the most important moments in my daughter life." Serena said.
At the same time Chris said. "You’re married to who? How does he treat you? Hope he cherish you like he should?"
His questions genuinely brought a smile on her face. Ever since she returned to Rauf’s house, her father hadn’t once bothered to ask about their relationship. He had only been interested in making sure she gets the money he need for him.
Having a big brother like Chris who seemed to worry about those little things was more than she could have imagined for herself?
This was the life she deserved, Amie told herself.
"I’m sorry, mother. We can always have the ceremony again if you want." She told Serena.
Afterall, she wasn’t the one at the first wedding. She didn’t mind having it again this time with Rauf waiting for her at the altar.
"No, darling. I’m not pushing you to do something you don’t want to do. I’m just so happy my little daughter has grown up to the point that she’s married."Serena replied, brushing a drop of tears from her eyes.
Chris smiled at them. "Mother had picked your wedding dress before finding you. She already have everything arranged for you." He whispered to Amie.
"I can hear you over here, Chris. Continue telling her every of my secrets." She joked.
"It’s fine, mother. I don’t mind wearing the dress and taking pictures with it." Amie said. "And we can always have the wedding again. My husband wouldn’t mind."
"And you’re yet to tell me his name?"
"Chris, don’t go threatening her husband. He’s family."
"Mother, I have no plan to threaten him, I just want to welcome him to the family." But he sounded like he planned on threatening him.
Amie smiled. "He’s a nice guy. He’s someone you know; Rauf Salvador."
