The Mafia Lord Forgotten Bride
Chapter 24: The Mafia Queen daughter
It didn’t take Henson long to find Samir. He pulled the man into the hotel Rauf was staying.
Samir’s shirt was torn and bloody.
Rauf sat on the chair, twirling a glass of alcohol in his hand. Things weren’t going exactly how he had envisioned, and drinking seemed to calm in down at the moment.
He had blocked every call from Amie and his mother. He needed a clear mind, and both of them wouldn’t give him that at the moment.
The moment Samir lay his eyes on Rauf, a small smile took over his lips.
When he was suddenly grabbed at the bar and pushed into the car, he had thought, it was one of Tim’s men, but seeing it was Rauf, he calmed down..
"Rauf..." His voice sounded eager and clear. "Didn’t know you were in New Central State?"
He threw a glare at Henson, as if promising to have him punished for manhandling him while bringing him here.
Rauf stared at the man that had destroyed his family. The man who had become his father-in-law, and who still had the guts to play games with him. "Samir..." His voice was cold. "What are you doing in New Central State?"
Samir stared back at Henson.
The man had an expressionless face.
He had no idea if Rauf knew the reason he was here or why he was acting cold towards him. The last time he saw him was at the hospital after the surgery, and Rauf had been in a good mood then.
He had been in a better mood with Samir ever since he married his daughter.
Yeah. His daughter, Samir thought. That was the key.
"How’s your wife? Is she also here with you?"
At the mention of his wife, Rauf temper flew. He balled his fist beside him, and took a large gulp of his alcohol.
He had no idea if Amie, his mother and Samir had all planned it. So, he didn’t want to give any clue that he knew what was happening.
"She’s fine." And then no longer in the mood to beat around the bush with him, he went straight to the point. "What business do you have with Tim gang?"
At the mention of the gang, Samir frowned.
He had come to New Central State in top secret, and Amie was supposed to get the required fund from Rauf, not rat him out to him.
Did he already found?
"You were sabotaging my deals when I was blame and now looking for a way to close a drug licensing deal with Tim gang, without my permission."
Samir moved back. "I’m sorry. I just wanted to do something."
Rauf nodded.
A phone beeped.
Rauf looked up at Henson who pressed a few key on his phone.
Ignoring Samir who was now visibly shaking in front of his son-in-law, Henson moved towards Rauf and whispered some things in his ears.
Rauf’s eyes widened immediately. His gaze narrowed on Samir.
That was not possible.
It couldn’t be.
He couldn’t know her and live the way he did.
But Rauf needed to find her daughter, so they could help him find June, and he didn’t have time to waste.
Since Samir was already in front of him, he decided to ask him the question. "Do you know the Mafia Queen?"
Samir, surprised by the sudden change of question blinked. "Mafia who?"
Rauf stared at him as if he was dumb. "The Mafia Queen that rule the whole New Central State."
Having no idea, who she was, Samir stared blankly at him.
Annoyed, Rauf’s temper flew. "My intel says she was once married to you. You’ve been divorced for years now, but I think she has a daughter with you."
Samir narrowed his gaze. It couldn’t be who he thought of.
Apart from his current wife, he only had one wife he had divorced and that was June’s mother.
She was nothing but a poor street rat one of the reason their relationship had ended so fast.
"You don’t mean Seren..."
Before he could complete it, Rauf hit him in his ribs.
Samir bend down, clutching where he had hit him badly. He had always knew that Rauf hadn’t forgiven him for what he had done to him years ago. And his marriage with his daughter was nothing but a trap.
"How dare you mention the Mafia Queen name? She might have once been your wife, but she’s not in the same league with you."
Overwhelmed by surprised, Samir made the same mistake. "Are you saying the mafia queen is Seren..."
Again, he was hit by Rauf.
Rauf stared back at this man.
This had just make his search easier.
Who could have thought someone like Samir was once married to the Mafia Queen?
Rauf was aware that Samir had two daughters: Amie and June. One of his daughter had to be the Mafia Queen’s daughter.
The realization that June might be her daughter got his heart thumping. To think him and the Mafia Queen had been searching for the same person.
He pulled his chair until he was facing Samir directly. "I heard she had a daughter with you."
Samir’s narrowed his gaze at him.
He had given June her address without knowing she was leading her to the Mafia Queen. Who knew if June had gotten to her?
Then Rauf suddenly held his chin tight as if he wanted to pull his teeth out. "Where’s her daughter?"
Samir’s head was running.
Everyone knew about the Mafia Queen. She was the most powerful and the most wealthy mafia in the world. Her league was way higher than that of Rauf.
If he could have the power of the mafia queen around him why would he have to bend down to Rauf.
Annoyed by his intentional silence, Rauf pressed his chin. "I think I should rephrase the question. Who out of your daughter is the Mafia Queen’s daughter, Amie or June?"
Before Rauf could press his chin again, Samir let out the name he thought would favor him best. "Amie."
