Chapter 153: Puppies in a puppy pen

Damian wasn’t at all pleased with this plan, but he had failed to capture Princeton’s heart, which meant he was desperate. At first, he thought he could handle it. He tried to distract himself with other things, but an hour later, when that phone rang, he couldn’t stay still anymore.

He looked over and asked, "Who is it?"

Li Jun looked at the caller ID and replied, "No one important." He sounded convincing, but Damian didn’t buy it. He looked at his phone in Li Jun’s pocket, and the muscles in his jaw tensed. Li Jun could sense the shift in the atmosphere. What would happen next was easily predictable.

He smiled at his uncle and said, "It’s really no one important." He yawned, acting as though he was tired. "I am going to take a nap. Wake me up for dinner." Li Jun only took two steps when Damian stood up.

"Since you are going to sleep, then let me have it, in case Dad calls," he said, looking like he was suffering from withdrawal. Not phone withdrawal but Princeton withdrawal. Just hearing his phone ring made his heart itch unbearably.

He wanted to answer the phone badly. This was, after all, the first time that Princeton had taken the initiative to call him first. "Little Jun, be good and hand uncle the phone," he said, the tone of his voice soft as though coaxing him.

Li Jun smiled sweetly, lowering Damian’s guard. Just when he thought this kid would obediently hand him the phone, Li Jun broke into a run. Damian swore, "Shit," as he ran after him. Li Jun ran so fast you would think he was being chased by ghosts and demons.

"You stay away from me!" Li Jun yelled while running through the hallways of the top deck of the warship.

"You brat, give it back while I am asking nicely!"

The crew they ran past were shocked. They knew Li Jun was playful, but Damian? That was unexpected. The man walked around here with a cold demeanour, yet when Li Jun showed up, he was as playful as a kitten.

"No, I am going to tell grandpa," he yelled back as he took a sharp turn into the captain’s cabin. He locked the door behind him, but it didn’t take long before Damian overrode the system. The door slid open, and he walked it his strides large,

Li Jun knew this was a fight he couldn’t win, so he called his backer immediately. While it was ringing, he was fleeing from his uncle. He didn’t go far before he was yanked by the back of the collar. The two of them tussled like puppies in a puppy pen. The entire time, Li Jun was trying to wiggle out of his grip like a worm while Damian was trying to get his phone. It had long stopped ringing, but he was going to call back.

Damian pinned him down while trying to get it back, but Li Jun was so stubborn. He said, "I am doing it for your own good," but Damian didn’t want to hear all that. This was the scene Draco was met with when he picked up the video call.

"What are you two doing?" he asked, his expression looking like a disappointed patriarch. This was all his fault. It was either his genes were faulty, or he raised them like a pack of wolves.

"Grandpa, save me. Uncle Ian is bullying me," Li Jun said while curling into a ball, refusing to show his tail.

Damian tried to tell half-truths, saying, "He took my phone."

"I took it because he gave it to me. Ahhhh grandpa, save me," Li Jun interjected, defending himself. The two of them were acting so childish it was giving Draco a headache.

He slammed his fist on the table, and it shook, taking the two by surprise. They instantly stopped fighting and got on their feet, looking so well behaved. Looking at them now, you wouldn’t think they were tussling a second ago.

Draco glanced at the pair with a stern, reprehensive gaze. He was about to hand them a new one when he saw the little hair sticking up on Li Jun’s head. It was just too funny for him to take things seriously.

He cleared his throat, fighting hard not to laugh. "Did you give him your phone?" he asked Damian, who didn’t seem to know where to put his eyes. He couldn’t look at his father directly as he was embarrassed.

"Yes, but I gave it to him because..." When he realized what he was about to confess, he shut his mouth.

Li Jun, having not learnt his lesson, brazenly asked, "Because what? You want to tell grandpa why? Ouch!" Damian didn’t hesitate. He smacked the back of Li Jun’s head.

"Grandpa!" Li Jun yelled as though calling for the avengers to save him.

"Why are you more childish than he is? Stop hitting him," Draco reprimanded in exasperation. "I need you two to deal with that Seer. When you are done with him, kill him and send his head back to Helion."

At the mention of the seer, the two of them stopped fooling around. Li Jun was well aware that this person wanted his head so badly. A lot of people hated him. Heck, more than half of Aurelia were calling for his head at some point, but none of them actually tried it. This seer, however, seemed to really want him gone by any means necessary, and Li Jun was curious to find out why.

A day later, Princeton arrived. He strode into the hangar bay with a chilling elegance, every step radiating an aura that froze the air around him. His sharp features and fierce eyes carried the promise of danger wrapped in irresistible allure. He was handsome yet terrifying.

His usual friendly attitude was gone. Now, no one dared to breathe in his presence. He gestured for them to bring Kai Jing out. Meon dragged him out of the spacecraft, bound with plasma chains on his hands, legs, and neck.

Kai Jing was so terrified that he was trembling like a leaf, and he could barely walk. Princeton looked around, and when he didn’t see the person he was looking for, he scoffed.
