Chapter 995: Meeting (1)
Chapter 995: Meeting (1)
[59 Days Before The Awakening]
Klaus was truly stunned when he learned his mother was the one Lucil bragged about.
According to Lucil, this person was able to come up with many mind-bending combat moves that even elite warriors wouldn’t be able to execute. She had helped them make great strides when it comes to the combat aspect of Oracle.
Naturally, Klaus knew Lucil liked to exaggerate things, so he didn’t give her much attention. However, now learning that the one who was spoken about so fondly was his mother, he gained a reality check.
“How?” Klaus asked, unable to hold himself back.
His mom laughed, but she responded. “I was bored, so Hanna introduced me to video games. Initially, I faced some challenges, but after practicing a few times, I realized I had considerable experience in close combat.
So, I fell in love with the video games, and that’s when the overly cheerful girl who developed the game contacted me and asked for my help training some models for her.
And since I want to be useful somehow, considering I am too useless to follow you to the battlefield, I accepted the offer and now, here we are.”
Lumia and her daughter, Pickle Berry, had a teasing smile on their faces as they looked at Klaus. Naturally, this was the look they were all looking forward to.
“Unbelievable. But I suppose this is a good thing. I am happy for you.” Klaus only wanted his mom to be happy, just as she wanted him to be happy. Since she found something she liked and was good at, he was indeed happy for her.
Though in his mind, Klaus couldn’t wrap his mind around how she became that experienced in close combat.
‘Then again, in her life back in my seventh incarnation, she was a great warrior, so even though she doesn’t have her memories back like I do, somehow, she might still have those experiences in her.’
That was the only logical explanation that Klaus could come up with.
Aside from that, another thought entered his mind, but he discarded it. ‘There is no way she is an angel in disguise like she claimed. I have tested her several times, but she is just too talentless to be a warrior. Even my blood seems to only increase her knowledge of cooking.’
Klaus smiled.
“Hey, brat, are you looking down on me in your head?” Klaus’s mom asked when she saw the smile on Klaus’s face.
“No,” Klaus answered, but the smile on his face said otherwise.
His mom just smirked and sat down. “Sit down and let me fix your hair before everyone arrives.”
Klaus nodded and sat down.
He had already become used to his mom styling his hair every day back when they were in the slum, so even if she wanted to, Klaus wouldn’t mind allowing her to style his hair every three hours.
It was already their bonding moments long before he became a warrior.
As his mom worked on his hair, many leaders from the various cities and warrior units started arriving.
Ben sent an invitation to all City Lords. They were to come with two others accompanying them, so naturally, all those arriving were three in number.
Most came in jets, while many came in flying cars, with the warriors among them arriving in their combat jets.
Aside from them, the scientists and other non-warriors arrived with warriors acting as their bodyguards.
Naturally, the bodyguards would remain on the ground floor while the main guests would head to the 4th floor, where the meeting would take place.
Reps from the Academy, Moon Borns, Human Alliance, and Bast Race all came. Aside from them, the Sylvan race also came, with Lucy as their leader and five others, each at the peak of the Ascension stage, accompanying her.
When Klaus saw them arrive, he was stunned, for he never expected Lucy to have such powerful individuals as her subordinates.
However, knowing they were the greatest healers in existence, he was thrilled to have them on his side. Naturally, death was bound to happen in the battle that was to come.
However, with the Sylvan race on the battlefield, the rate at which the warriors would die would be reduced to a narrow percentage.
Klaus was certainly looking forward to hearing what they had to say in the meeting, as it was an opportunity for him to assess the powerhouses and determine the best way to utilize them.
“Looks like Asha is still hiding her strength,” Klaus muttered, looking at the most dangerous lady in his harem arrive with Linx and Jinx, two of the most dangerous Ants under her command.
As usual, Linx was clad in white and Jinx in black. They each had the strength of Nether stage warriors. Asha wanted to reveal her strength, but she wasn’t ready to flash it in everyone’s faces even before the meeting began.
The Bast race also arrived with representatives, including King T’Shan, Queen Nayiri, Prince Challa, and three other elders representing the Main Bast Army.
The other nine were from the other units of the Bast race.
General Okoye had two others with her. The Border tribe and the Mountain tribe also came with three each, making fifteen reps from the Bast race.
Princess Eshira was with her sisters.
Vampire Queen Tifa and five others came. Though only she had reached the Nether stage, the other five behind her were all at the peak of the Ascension stage.
This made her team much more powerful than one might think.
A few minutes after she arrived, Klaus’s friends, who included Danny, Daniel, Mark, Kay, Kilian, Miguel, and Mason, also arrived, representing the Paragon Force, or as Klaus chose to name them, the Calvary of Defiance.
Calling them the Paragon Force would be too dangerous when they appeared in the universe, so he renamed them the Calvary of Defiance for now.
All his friends were at the Ascension stage.
Lucil and the three nerds also came, with Inaki and Anaki arriving a few minutes later. Many others came, with Nadia being the last to arrive, bringing two people.
Klaus raised his brow when he sensed the presence of the two figures walking behind Nadia.
Their faces were covered by a hood, so nobody could see their identity. However, the aura coming from them was one that not even a peak Ascension stage expert could exude.
“This girl has come a long way,” Klaus’s mom said, standing at the window, watching Nadia and her two puppets enter the hall.
“She has indeed come a long way,” Klaus smiled. Inwardly, however, he was in shock. ‘Those two aren’t her main puppets, but I can sense each has a demon spirit in them. Just how many puppets did she put demon spirits in?
‘The battle from the Savage Zombies to the Ancient Sea Race sure gave her thousands of souls, so who knows how many demon puppets are under her command now that she has reached the Ascension stage.’
Klaus decided to end his thought, for there were more important things to handle first. All would be revealed soon, for that was the main reason they were here.
“Mom, Pickle Berry, Lumia, let’s go.” Klaus led everyone away, and soon, they arrived in the grand hall. To his surprise, the moment he arrived, everyone stood up.
It appeared even without any vote, he was recognised as the overlord of Earth.
Klaus waved them to sit down when he sat on his chair. His mom sat on his right while Pickle Berry and her mother sat on the left.
Ben was such a considerate person, and Klaus, who saw the arrangement he made, was impressed.
“Welcome, everyone…”
