The Invincible Full-Moon System

Chapter 1876: Last Race Evolution Quest

Chapter 1876: Last Race Evolution Quest

Frankly, he didn’t believe April could do it.

Just drinking the blood that he left behind alone should be close to impossible.

Not even Davina drank that much of his blood, and her willpower was proven to be powerful through the countless years she spent gaining real battle experience, along with her being a one-in-a-billion genius from a noble bloodline.

He believed there was an above ninety percent chance that April is going to die trying.

Back then, he didn’t give Rosie a chance to prove herself. Even though the result might not be different, he should’ve given her a chance. Now, in honor of her, he gave April a chance. But that doesn’t mean he’s going to lower his standards.

Every single pack member of his is exceptional in their own way.

Even the Rastrikan Demons he turned were both strong at the moment when he met them.

And his standards have only risen since then.

One is the only pack member who got lucky and became a Silverstar, and he got in through the necessity of the moment. Right now, the moment demanded nothing of the sort. If April wanted to stay by his side, then she would have to fight for it. Tooth and nail.

If even by some miracle that she managed to digest the blood, the second requirement would end her.

Soaking in that pond of blood would test her mind even further.

According to the System, the pond would infuse anyone who entered with his anger. That could only mean April would feel the anger and hatred that he felt ever since that fateful night when his biological parents died, all the way until he killed Ruston.

And it’s not easy.

Even Rex lost his mind multiple times.

He could manage it better after he got the System, but there are violent bursts here and there.

Knowing how April operated, she wouldn’t be able to survive that pond.

Most likely scenario, Rex would return to the Spirit Realm and learn that April had gone berserk and gotten herself killed or executed. Either way, he was already prepared to hear the news ever since he gave her the chance.

Good work in digesting the blood. And good luck to survive the blood pond.

Rex blinked his eyes and then realized something.

In order to complete the second Rave Evolution Quest, he would need to fulfil three conditions: have thirty pack members, make sure all of them recognized him as the Alpha, and then establish a distinct characteristic for them.

He already did the first two, but he hadn’t even thought about the third requirement.

And yet, the second Race Evolution Quest was already completed.

Did the System make a wrong calculation? No, that can’t be right.

<Notice: the Silverstar Pack already has its own characteristic due to the user’s constitution>

And that is?

<Double Body. All members of the Silverstar Pack have a human form, as well as a second form that is distinct from their previous race, mixed into the werewolf form. Because of this double body, Silverstars could wield two sources of power at the same time.>

Huh… I never consider that.

Unlike regular werewolves that only have one form, all Silverstars have their human and beast sides. As long as Rex permitted them to have a second form, then they could. And that alone makes them different, like another new race.

<Please enter the name for the new race: ….>

A name? Shit, I’m not good at this.

Rex crossed his arms and contemplated.

Maybe naming it Silverstar? No, I relied on my last name too much. Manwolf? Duality?

He wracked his brain for a name, but his ideas came short.

Perhaps he got punched too much in the head that his creativity was knocked out of his head, and it was now somewhere underground. He was positive that if he butchered this, the others would probably complain about it.

Lycan…?

Rex nodded his head, finding the name Lycan suited them.

Greater Lycan. Yes, that sounded nice.

<Does the user want to name the new race ’Greater Lycan’?>

I wanted to say yes, but let’s not be rash. Use that for the time being, but don’t make it permanent.

<Affirmative.>

<Race Evolution Quest — 3 of 3>

Description: Sufficient loyal members have been gathered. Now, the user may announce yourself as a new Origin. The Greater Lycan Origin. The double-body characteristic is unique; no other race ever existed since the dawn of time possesses it. In order to establish the Greater Lycan Race, the user must now acquire a power source capable of amplifying that characteristic.

Complete the following to unlock the Origin-rank bloodline:

• Find and establish a connection to a God to bolster the new Greater Lycan race

• Undergo the First Blood Claim ritual

Rewards: Unlock an Origin-rank bloodline.

Rex read the third and last race evolution quest and rubbed his chin.

Frankly, he has no idea what the last steps would be to become an Origin. But seeing the requirements made him realize the System’s standard to become an origin is higher. From what he knew about all the other Supernatural Origins, all of them were naturally occurring.

And it was only when their survival was threatened that they contacted a God to give them strength.

But now, Rex needed God’s grace first before being eligible to become an Origin.

“Or perhaps the era has evolved, and this was the new requirement,” Rex read the notification again— and then his brows furrowed into a frown. “Now that I know exactly how to become an Origin, Void… He’s following these steps, too.”

He knew the Dark Angels were something that even Flunra didn’t know.

He knew Void was also around his strength, or perhaps even stronger, before he went to the Spirit Realm.

And he knew that Void was the one who created the Dark Angels.

Not to mention, the Angel Origin, the First Light, was already dead, so Rex was quite certain that Void somehow knew the path to becoming a new Origin. As impossible as that sounds, Void knew, and he had started aspiring to be an Origin far before Rex.

“I’m sure there are more than thirty Dark Angels by now,” Rex thought aloud. “That means Void is also at the last stage like me. He’s going to search for a God to empower his new Dark Angel race. Is he in the God Realm?”

Rex recalled how Morgana contacted Void, and quickly shook his head.

Had Void been in the God Realm, he doubted Morgana could contact Void that easily.

“I don’t know how my power would be converted when I returned to the Mortal Realm—but I should become an Origin before him,” Rex nodded and looked up to the starry night sky. He closed his eyes as he tried to contact someone.

Since he’s not in the God Realm right now, it should be possible to contact her.

And he was right.

From his shadow, a divine figure emerged. Her presence alone caused a distortion in the realm.

“Is this your realm…?” Nivellen looked around in marvel.

“Yes,” Rex opened his eyes and nodded. “A new one, but it’s something.”

“Something? This is truly incredible,” She hovered around to have a look. She raised a finger and tried to use her own power. A small string of dark energy emerged from her fingertip, and the distortion around her intensified.

And soon, the space cracked. It spreads around ten meters in length.

“Three seconds and the crack is only this big?” Nivellen cast Rex a pleased smile. “Your realm is sturdy for a new one. Rex Silverstar, you continued to surprise me.”

Considering that this was a new realm, the crack should’ve happened instantly the moment her power manifested, and it should at least ten times bigger than this one. But the crack only happened after three seconds, and it’s only minuscule.

Just that alone showed how well-made this realm was.

Perhaps, this was the new realm with the sturdiest foundation that she has ever encountered.

“And I will continue to do so,” Rex smiled back, and then crossed his arms.

“Do you have something to ask me?”

“Yes. I wanted to ask whether you can be the Goddess who will make me an Origin.”

Nivellen paused, stunned by the request.

Since he now has access to the God Realm, technically, he has a wide variety of Gods that could be his race’s power source, far better than Nivellen. There are countless stronger Gods out there, and Rex could approach and negotiate with them.

But at this moment, he valued those close to him more.

Rex needed to keep his power growth clean.

He had witnessed it—Kaiser and the other Lunirich Gods slaughtering werewolves—as they pleased, with no one to stop them. He would not allow that to become his reality. Nor his pack’s. No God would treat them like disposable pieces on a board.

Finding one would be hard, and unnecessary when there’s already one right in front of him.

When Nivellen didn’t respond, Rex continued. “Don’t worry about anything. I can help you grow even stronger, too. All I ask is that you be the one to make me an Origin,” He let the words settle, and then reached out his inviting hand. “You were the one who made me a Prince first. I want you to be the one to make me an Origin, as well.”

“Oh, dear…” A smile blossomed on Nivellen’s face.

And she accepted the hand, which should be her way of saying yes, but that wasn’t the case.

“As much as I want that fantasy to be real, I can’t,” Nivellen holds Rex’s hand with both hands. “Right now, I’m still in the Banished Realm. I can’t exercise my full power. And not to mention, I’m tied with the other Lunirich Gods. For me to do that, I need their permissions, too.”

“Okay, I’ll find a way to deal with those prob—”

“No,” Her voice was gentle but firm with her decision, cutting him off. “Those problems will take too long to resolve, and I don’t want you doing that for me and putting those around you in danger. Rex, I am deeply touched, more than you know, that I’m at the top of your list. But you need to find another God.”

It was painful to say, but Nivellen knew it was the right choice.

Focusing on her would only slow Rex down when he didn’t have the liberty to slow down.

She didn’t want that for him.

“Don’t worry. I understand your concerns,” She smiled again, easing the hard lines on Rex’s forehead. He was already stressed at the thought of needing to skim through the Gods, which would be hard and also dangerous. “I can recommend someone suitable.”

“Really?” Rex’s eyes sparkled. “Who? Which God?”

“In the beginning, there was only one God who ruled over the moon. We Lunirich Gods claimed the largest portion of the moon, reducing her rule over the Full Moon—though we never fully extinguished it.” Nivellen’s gaze drifted, lost in the memory of when the Lunirich Gods were united, unbreakable. “She is the Goddess of the Greater Moon. Aylith.

“Her realm is called Lunathal the Great Pale Court.” She added.

“Can she be trusted? Will she harm those close to me?”

“She’s older than me. Far older. Old-fashioned. As long as you can make her give her word that she won’t harm you and those close to you, then she will keep it. For her, she would rather give up her divinity than to break her word.”

“Exactly the kind of person I wanted,” Rex pulled his hand back. “You’re a great help, as always.”

“Then, I wish you luck.”

Nivellen vanished again, leaving the realm behind.

And when she was gone, Rex looked away, “Goddess of the Greater Moon… Is this the sign that the Greater Lycan race is a good name?” He licked his lips and grinned, the kind that only bloomed at the idea of trouble. “Now, how should I approach her?”
