The Invincible Full-Moon System

Chapter 1738: Sky’s Favourite

Chapter 1738: Sky’s Favourite

Rex only saw the external changes, mostly her appearance.

But for Princess Davina, the most glaring changes she felt were from within.

It was almost like her own mind and body subconsciously knew she wasn’t the same person as before.

Now, she was different—there’s a new part of her inside.

More violent. More beastly. Craving nothing more than to satiate the thirst for battle and fury.

Some of the memories she had in the past, precisely the ones when she was mad, resurfaced like it was as clear as day. She recalled how the House of Dara tried to assassinate Rex, or even the way her own father dismissed her.

All of those things have always been in her mind.

But now, the impact those memories brought has become a lot more intense.

It would be a lot better to kill them all than hold onto this anger.

For a noblewoman like her, she would never do this, as that would only bring more harm than good, but the other side of her wanted her to do it. To let loose. To forget about the logical consequences and get reckless.

Even so, a deep exhale was enough for her to suppress those impulses.

Princess Davina is trained to control her emotions, and that came in incredibly handy.

Other than that, she also noticed how much sharper her senses had become.

Every one of them was heightened beyond anything she ever imagined.

She could see father away, and with a focus, distant movements played in slow motion in her eyes.

She could hear the faintest shift in the air, feel every brush and vibrance on her skin, and detect even the slightest trace of scent in the area—like the scent of steel from the elite soldiers. It was carried by the wind, and she could catch it still.

But what she found odd the most was these new, tingling sensations.

It was a connection with someone.

Like there was an invisible red string that tied her heart to someone else’s in the far distance.

One that Rex referred to as pack connections.

“And there are more out there, outside this realm…”

“Hmm… How do their connections feel?”

“I…” Princess Davina furrowed her brows, fully focusing on those connections. “I feel most of them are welcoming, except for a couple. One is hostile towards me, and the other two are extremely hostile towards me.”

“Don’t bother about it,” Rex chuckled lightly.

He already knew who those three people were, even without Princess Davina telling him.

I’m surprised she could sense Evelyn. I’ve been noticing odd things coming from her.

Rex didn’t know for certain, but it seemed Evelyn could also suppress this connection between them.

Normally, he was the only one who could do that, but lately, he began to doubt that assumption since he felt Evelyn was muting their connections. He didn’t really know what it was, but he was sure that she was hiding something from him.

Hiding things is not a good idea, Evelyn.

“Now focus on me,” He pointed at himself with his index finger. “What do you feel from me?”

Princess Davina stared at him.

She seemed to be focusing, not that she needs to.

Just a glance at him alone tells her everything she needs to know.

Her connection with him was the strongest of all; it was certainly because he was the Alpha.

“I’d rather not say,” Princess Davina averted her gaze, avoiding Rex’s gaze.

She could feel a strong pull toward Rex, like she was iron and he was a magnet, and it’s too embarrassing to speak about that out loud, ’I already lowered my pride enough to follow his way; I can’t stroke his ego anymore. He’ll think I’m easy.’

Instead of answering, Princess Davina walked over to the floating mirror again.

Before going back, she has to know everything about her new appearance lest she’d shock her father.

On the other hand, Rex was assessing her condition.

She doesn’t mind acknowledging me as the Alpha; that’s good. Mira is the only troublesome one.

Rex looked up to the beautiful three moons above, soaking in the refreshing scenery and air as his body steamed and convulsed. As he added a new pack member, his stats were now adjusting to the additional stats from her.

And it was riveting.

For a couple more hours, Rex and Princess Davina stayed at the top, sitting under the magical tree.

Or rather, only Rex sat beneath the magical tree, while Princess Davina kept on sitting and standing like her butt was on fire. She kept checking her reflection in the mirror and mentally noted every change in her appearance, all while testing her control over her newly grown tails and ears.

She basically has new body parts, so she needed to train in using them properly.

“Right,” Rex flicked his fingers, recalling something he wanted to say earlier. “If you regretted turning, quickly tell me. I can still extract my blood out of your system, and that’ll revert you back to normal. Back to how you were.”

Hearing this, Princess Davina looked at him sharply and opened her mouth to speak.

But Rex already raised his hand, stopping her.

“I know what you’re thinking—but your transformation isn’t finished,” Rex continued, cutting off her rising frustration before it formed. “In time, you’ll gain more and more of a werewolf’s traits. I can’t predict exactly how you’d turn out, so consider this a precaution.”

“Your wish is my command, Alpha,” Princess Davina made a curtsy. “I wouldn’t dare question it.”

She was clearly mocking him, but Rex thought nothing of it.

Or rather, he has to be understanding.

She’s still unstable. I don’t want her to go berserk.

Rex took out a pair of gloves from the inventory and held them toward Princess Davina.

“Here. Use these at all times,” He said, making Princess Davina glance at the gloves in question. “They will hide the Silverstar Mark on the back of your hand, and also store your ears and tails away, in another dimension, effectively keeping them concealed.”

Speaking of new limbs, he also did the same thing with Gistella when she became an Enchanter.

Rex gave her an item to conceal her horn, and these gloves were similar to that.

Of course, except fpr the fact that these gloves are astronomically more than the item he gave Gistella.

It costs more than a million gold as it has to match the bare minimum for Princess Davina’s power.

Princess Davina wore the gloves under Rex’s gaze.

Once she finished, she lifted her hands skyward and admired how perfectly the gloves hugged her hands.

One could tell from how intricate the model and patterns were that these gloves were made to be worn by high-status people, crafted with royal elegance by a master artisan. Not to mention the impossibly smooth materials.

Princess Davina couldn’t help but smile.

She already imagined how jealous her sister Liliana would be when she saw them.

For a brief moment, she closed her eyes to channel the gloves’ powers.

And when she opened her eyes again, she could make her tails and ears disappear with a thought.

It flickered in and out of reality with her mind alone.

“I’m going to meditate. I can’t waste this chance to regenerate,” Rex said as he rose—and stepped out from beneath the magical tree’s canopy—brushing past Princess Davina. “But before that… why don’t you show me your new strength? It’d be a shame not to see the power you gained from me.”

Rex stopped near the edge of the peak and then looked back towards her, “Can you do it?”

“Yes,” Princess Davina nodded and stood by him. “I think I can do it.”

Hearing this, Rex nodded and tilted his head up slightly to view the starry night sky.

A notification panel was hovering there.

<Imperial Stellar Werewolf Heir>

Description: It was an extremely unique mutation unseen, even in the Ancient Era. An Imperial Stellar Werewolf Heir was born from extreme overexposure to moonlight; its physique held a thousand times more moonlight energy than a High Werewolf. Additionally, the mutation also granted it the density and affinity to draw strength from other celestial bodies. It’s truly a mutation that fits the nickname Sky’s Favourite.

So that’s the case. Nobody in the Mortal Realm could replicate her bloodline.

Reading the description, Rex noted one thing.

The Imperial Werewolf Heir is a bloodline that can only appear from overexposure to moonlight.

Since the Spirit Realm has three moons, that should be the bare minimum to spark this bloodline; the people in the Mortal Realm wouldn’t be able to replicate it. But then again, it’s not like the others have bloodlines that could be replicated easily.

Not only that, but Rex was also curious as to how her moonlight really compares.

System, compare her physique to a normal Alpha Prime.

<Calculating…>

<Compared to a normal Alpha Prime, Davina has approximately 200 times more moonlight energy.>

And compared to me?

<Compared to the user, she has 21.7 times more moonlight energy.>

Huh? She has more than me? How?

<Notice: the user’s bloodline is stronger, but to properly match her raw moonlight energy, the user has to possess five King Marks at once. Davina is also of a higher rank than the user; thus, her physique can endure more moonlight energy.>

Rex shrugged his shoulders as the System made perfect sense.

Compared to Princess Davina’s rank right now, he was vastly weaker than her.

It was already good enough for him to be a lot nearer to her compared to the other Alpha Primes.

“I’m starting…”

“Go ahead, let me see it.”

Princess Davina stepped toward the edge of the tower’s peak, the wind brushing past her as if urging her back, yet she didn’t slow down. Instead, she walked straight through the boundary where the stone floor ended and the sky began.

As soon as her foot crossed into open air, she did not fall.

She simply continued forward, as though an unseen path awaited her alone.

No life energy, no spell—it was something else.

Rex couldn’t see what she was stepping on, but he reckoned it was the starlight energy in her.

Each step she took pressed into the empty sky, leaving soft ripples that shimmered and faded—as she ascended. Despite her newfound appearance, her grace as a noble never disappeared, and the heavens reacted to her presence.

Just then, her left tail ignited first—constellations flickering across its fur like waking stars.

Around the tower’s magical flare, along with the falling moonlight, were reversed.

Instead of descending to the world, they impossibly drifted upward like steam.

Princess Davina used her power, and this happened—gravity bent to her will, and the sky obeyed.

Even Rex couldn’t hide his shock as the ground around him darkened, turning to almost pitch-black.

All the lights that were supposed to reach the peak were drawn away by his new pack member.

Princess Davina climbed higher, and when he reached the height she desired, she lifted her hand and pointed it toward the main moon.

Rex squinted up at her silhouette, stunned, for the stars around the moon brightened in unison.

Threads of starlight, greatly visible to the eyes, twisted around the main moon’s glow.

Behind, her right tail flared red—she was activating another side of her power.

It was then that Rex saw moonlight and starlight spiraling a distance away from her, condensing into a shimmering, distorted sphere that warped the air around it. The sphere grew—fist-sized, then larger to the size of a head.

Sparks crawled across its surface, snapping like living lightning.

And then, it shuddered and burst.

Rex watched closely as the sphere dissolved into a cascading explosion of light, scarring across the sky in a radiant splash that illuminated every shadow around the tower. Now, the moons, stars, and the peak returned to normal.

She’s like a Shaman, but she can bend not only the moonlight but also the starlight. Not to mention, I feel it earlier, she also has control over gravity. I think Billy, if the man back then was really Billy, has an element similar to her.

But she can use it on a much larger scale.

Gistella is like a Shaman, too, but she’s more defensive. Princess Davina, on the other hand… That ball she made, I don’t think I can survive it, even with my Law powers.
