The Invincible Full-Moon System

Chapter 1737: A Unique and New Outer Pack Beta

Chapter 1737: A Unique and New Outer Pack Beta

Outside of the Deific Groves of Concordia.

Amanir was standing beside his carriage, basking under the perceived moonlight from above.

Other than what happened earlier this morning, Rex hadn’t tasked him to do anything.

But considering that it had been quite some time since he had been in the Spirit Realm, he decided to soak up as much of the realm as he possibly could. It was different here compared to the Mortal Realm. He didn’t know what exactly, but he reckoned it was the air.

After all, he was born in this realm, so his connection to it is stronger.

People are looking at him.

Most of the elite soldiers standing guard around the grove stared at him with a questioning look.

For someone who came along Lord Rex and Princess Davina, he looked… unremarkable.

Other than being a cute-looking Demon Spirit, there’s nothing more to him.

But he quickly proved them wrong.

Swoosh!

Amanir cast a sharp glance at them as his aura flared, pushing the elite soldiers with a gentle rush of air.

All of them were startled, not obviously, but their furrowed brows showed enough.

None of them expected Amanir to have the power of an Eternal Spirit.

Then again, he also never expected to reach this realm of power this quickly—as he was aiming to reach this rank in about twenty thousand years. But because of his connection with Rex, he was lucky enough to enjoy this feeling of power.

Of course, being assimilated with a Human is not something any Spirit wanted.

But for a Human like Rex’s caliber? That’s an entirely different story.

’It’s a temporary increase,’ Amanir thought, recalling that Rex only possessed an Imbalanced Spiritual Veins, which meant once they returned to the Mortal Realm, the gathered power—would slowly bleed out. ’However, if reckoned, I can retain a good amount of my current power. Maybe dropping only to the Master Immortal Spirit rank is plausible.’

’Normally, it’s not possible. But once Rex upgraded my talent…’ Amanir smiled inwardly.

Rex hadn’t been constantly needing his help, but that doesn’t mean he’s not doing anything.

Other than trying to contact Devo occasionally, to see if it’s possible, he was also training in secret.

Before going to the Spirit Realm, Rex had taught about martial arts and even sparred with him.

Due to his different anatomy compared to creatures that are humanoid, Amanir couldn’t absorb Rex’s teachings properly, but he at least now knew how to predict those who are humanoid creatures would move.

He also knew how to fight against beasts.

Rex said that he was going to ask for Demon Spirits.

So that it would be easier for Amanir to win as a beast-like Demon Spirit would be really predictable.

Once he wins and absorbs their Soul Artifacts, with the help of a Spirit Adjudicator, retaining his current power will not be a pipe dream.

Feeling the rush of energy, the elite soldiers turned their gazes away from Amanir.

It would be a problem for them since Amanir made it very clear that he wasn’t a pushover.

’I’d better work on my life energy control again,’ Amanir headed back to the carriage.

But mid-way, he stopped to look at the elite soldier nearby.

“Hmm? What’s happening?”

“Stand still. Do you want to be punished? We only have 1 more year until our shift ends.”

“I know, but my dagger is shaking. It has never done this before.”

“Shaking? Just be honest, you wanted to stretch your limbs, right? I know we’ve been standing still for months, but you should already get used to this by now.”

“Do you really think I’m playing? I’m serious.”

“Yeah, yeah… whatever. Besides, stop calling that small thing a dagger when it’s only a knife.”

“It’s a dagger! My sister made it for me when we were younger. She called it a dagger, so it’s a dagger.”

“I guess your sister doesn’t know the difference between a knife and a dagger, and you encouraged her.”

Amanir watched the two banter.

One soldier stood stiffly as a carved effigy, spine straight, hands resting neatly at his sides. The other hunched slightly, one hand curled behind him around the knife strapped to his waist—its trembling far too unnatural to be a prank.

Clearly, the first man who took it was a joke, but Amanir also could see that it wasn’t a joke.

For some odd reason, the knife was shaking.

’It’s no wonder that the man took it as a joke, there’s no energy, so there’s no chance the knife could be acting like that,’ Amanir thought, furrowing his brows. ’If he turned to look, he would realize that this wasn’t a joke, but he didn’t.’

Amanir gazed into the grove, his face clearly etched with a question.

“Is it because of them?” He muttered, the thought slipping out. “What in the world are they doing?”

Rumble!

Just as he thought of that, the ground underneath his feet suddenly rumbled.

It caught not only him, but also the elite soldiers off guard.

Amanir lifted his gaze and froze.

A magnificent tower could be seen appearing out of nothing—its vast height carved into the heavens as if it was born to be the tallest. Around it surged a pulsing, suffocating energy that spilled from the very top and washed down the tower’s entire length like a living, oppressive aura.

One look and Amanir could tell that this energy doesn’t come from inside the tower.

It was an external energy, and it came from the very top.

Splash!!

Just then, the sky split open in an expanding ring that tore a hole in it.

Everyone on the ground could now directly stare—at the clear sky above; its layers were something to behold, even for the elite soldiers who had been guarding this place for years. But what caught Amanir’s attention the most was the celestial bodies that decorated the sky.

Moons, stars, and everything between were shining their luminescence to the peak of the world.

And this combination of lights created a spectacular spectacle.

Like the gates of heaven were opening gradually.

Amanir couldn’t see the pinnacle of the tower from the ground, but he knew who caused this.

’It’s too bright and hopeful for Rex to cause this,’ He thought as the answer became clear. ’Davina…’

Meanwhile, at the tower’s pinnacle, Rex watched as a smooth cascade of light descended from the sky and spiraled around Princess Davina. It resembled a gentle snowstorm with her at its center—only the falling flakes replaced by drifting strands of luminous energy, gathering and turning in a slow orbit.

As he was entranced by the scenery, a notification snapped him back to reality.

<Does the user want to unleash her transformation freely or place a limiter?>

Hmm… Let’s put a limiter. To give her more time to think.

Regardless of how she felt, her determination might only stem from the spur of the moment.

As much as she would’ve hated it, he decided to give her more time to think, so that she could revert to normal whenever she made her true decision. Besides, he didn’t want another troublesome pack member when he hadn’t even finished dealing with Mira.

Or at least, that’s what he hoped.

<Notice: the user is not strong enough to fully put a limiter on Davina Castillon!>

<Davina Castillon will gradually complete her transformation through time, and instead of limiting her transformation path, the user has been given the authority to take back the user’s blood from her instead. It’ll give the user some semblance of control.>

What…? I can’t put a limiter on her?

A frown crept to Rex’s face as he was surprised to see this.

I can put a limiter on Mira even though I’m weaker, but I couldn’t put it on her?

<Yes, as stated, Davina is stronger in terms of strength and bloodline compared to the user.>

Rex shook his head, but the corner of his lip curled into a light smile.

On the bright side, at least he didn’t need to argue with Princess Davina about the limiter.

Boom!

A thunderous sound reverberated through the air as Princess Davina surged with power once again, splashing energy like she was a nova. Behind her, the moon and stars began to dim, their lights guiding her back down to where Rex was.

It’s like she could walk on light.

Once her feet landed on the tower’s top softly, the light particles covering her body began to crack.

Bit by bit, the particles cracked and dissipated, revealing what was hiding underneath.

Princess Davina’s form began to come into view.

Just as he expected, she was nothing like the real Werewolves out there that were hulking and menacing.

Instead, she retained most of her humanoid features.

One thing that Rex noticed almost immediately was her hair—it had grown longer than it reached her lower back, thicker at the crown with two wolf ears poking out, which now framed her face in a way it hadn’t before. Then, there was her height.

Moments ago, Rex had towered over her.

But now, she stood nearly eye-to-eye with him, and her presence was big enough that she no longer looked abnormally smaller than him.

In fact, she now looked a lot more physically compatible with him.

A soft layer of red-and-green fur that had begun to grow along her nape and shoulders, short but plush, fluttering gently with even the slightest movement.

Behind her swayed two elegant long tails, the same color as her fur, longer than Rex’s or any other pack member of the Silverstar Pack. Each one sparkled with tiny constellations, as if fragments of the night sky had been woven into them.

And then there were her eyes.

One, the left emerald one, contained multiple distant stars.

As for the other one, it was round and luminous, full like the moon, and glowed with a crimson light.

Rex could tell that one represented her starlight power while the other represented her moonlight power, which was like him, influenced by the Blood Moon. All of the pack members he had accumulated in the Spirit Realm had all been connected to the Blood Moon.

It was the next upcoming full moon, so naturally, all of them are going to be associated with it.

He didn’t know if this was a good thing or not, but it should be fine for now.

“How does it feel?” Rex folded his arms and asked with a slightly tilted head.

“Different,” Princess Davina answered as she waved her hand, summoning a mirror out of nowhere, and saw herself in the reflection. “I thought I was going to turn into a monster like you, but this…? It doesn’t look too grotesque. I’m quite fond of it, actually.”

“Are you saying that I’m grotesque?”

“Your other form? Yes. Right now? No.”

“I’m kidding. Aren’t you the one being as stiff as a painting right now?”

Rex shook his head and chuckled a little, glad that Princess Davina didn’t seem to be shaken.

But then again, her transformation isn’t exactly normal.

“If I’m being honest, I’ve never seen a transformation like yours,” Rex said, shrugging, still shocked at how effortless it had been for her. “All of us had to endure brutal changes to our bodies, but you… You didn’t. Even so, everything else seems unchanged. What about the connections? Can you feel them? The pack connections…”

Considering how powerful Princess Davina was, her senses should be incredibly good.

She would have no problem sensing the other pack members.

“I can… feel them,” Princess Davina looked to the side, sensing who should be Mira in the far distance, far away from them. “Mira, she seemed to be in pain. And there was another one in the sky—it can’t talk properly, but I can feel it feeling liberated.”

“That’s One, I turned him recently,” Rex nodded his head.

And finally, Princess Davina looked skyward, “And there are more out there, outside this realm…”
