However, the requirement to create a dragon king is that the chosen dragon must be using a Divine Position created through his World Power Ability before it can become his dragon king. And the dragon king can only be at rank 8 at best. Only he can be at rank 9.

These abilities made him scratch his chin as he thought, ’This sounds like the abilities of a world. It is not surprising since I got the Divine Spark by upgrading the World Seed.’

’But if I am a world, then I must be a Super World. After all, a Super World is the only thing I know that can support the existence of a rank 9 being, and I’ve never heard or seen a large world with a Divine Spark.’

Then he licked his lips and thought, ’This is good. It is very good even. With them, I can build my own power base like Dao Lords. And just like Dao Lords, I can collect rent through my Divine Positions.’

He was very satisfied with the abilities of the Divine Spark. However, these benefits came with a caveat. In order to create the Divine Spark, he has to damage Fenrir. In fact, the damage was so bad that Fenrir detached from him.

In the core of his Cave Heaven, there is a crystal stone at the very center. This crystal stone is gold. It is shining brightly with the brightness of a star. But it isn’t a star.

The crystal stone isn’t his Life Fire either. It looks like the golden flame that burns on the head of divine beings, but it isn’t burning. Instead, it has been frozen into solid stone.

From the depths of the crystal stone, he can sense golden threads vibrating at a high frequency. He could also tell that these vibrating threads are his source of power. They are consuming 16 years of his lifespan for every year of power that they grant him.

This golden and bright crystal stone, formed of frozen fire, is the Divine Spark. It is also where his soul is residing. So his consciousness is no longer staying within Fenrir.

The crystal stone is where his consciousness and mind are now. If it is destroyed, he will die. It is just like how a world will die when the heart of the world is destroyed.

Beside him is a tiny white dog with a serpent’s tail. This dog has cracks all over its body and is on the verge of collapsing.

This dog is Fenrir. His form is collapsing after Loki’s consciousness, the Divine Spark, and his potential has left it.

The damage to Fenrir isn’t just superficial. Fenrir still looks like it has its Abilities, but it has actually lost some of its abilities. The most important ability that it lost is the ability to have and use an infinite amount of Divine Metacs.

Fenrir can only use 3 Divine Metacs together now. It should be able to use 5 Divine Metacs, but because it is injured, it can only use 5. But even if Fenrir were to reach 100%, it would never be able to use an unlimited number of Divine Positions and Divine Metacs like it used to do before it separated from him.

The reason for this change in Fenrir is actually very complicated. But the summary of it is that Fenrir wasn’t the true source of his power all along.

Apparently, Fenrir is just a Metac that he awakened. The reason Fenrir was more powerful than the other Metacs is that he was special.

As for what makes him special, he can’t tell exactly. For now, all he can tell is there is something special within him, and it is why Fenrir could have more than one pathway as a mortal, combine the power of Metacs as a mortal, use many Divine Metacs as a mortal, use more than one pathway as a divine being, and combine the power of different Divine Metacs as a divine being.

The special element within him feels as if he has a pit within him that he can’t feel or reach. The feeling is akin to having a word at the tip of his tongue, but he can’t exactly remember what the word is and speak it.

In fact, if not for the fact that Fenrir had separated from him, he wouldn’t have been able to tell that there was something within him.

Thanks to the separation, he was able to identify that there was something particular about him when Fenrir lost the Power Shifting Ability, but he kept it.

So now, Fenrir can’t convert one Divine Metac into another one anymore. But he can still do that on his own. Fenrir can’t upgrade Divine Metacs anymore either.

This is not exactly a bad thing because it exposed something about himself that he didn’t know about before. It is not a bad thing for Fenrir either because he can now heal Fenrir and help it become whole again.

This is a good thing since he will finally be able to tell what Fenrir really is when it is complete. It is also good because he can’t upgrade his Divine Spark and doesn’t know how.

So upgrading Fenrir is one of the things he can do to increase his power. The other things he can do to increase his strength are to raise his stats and acquire more Divine Metacs. Then he can use the Power Shifting Ability to upgrade both Fenrir and the Divine Metacs if he feels like it.

For now, he raised his stats to 9 units. It cost him 1 million years of his lifespan to raise each of them to 9 units.

Since the Will Stat was already at 9 units, he only needed to upgrade the other four Stats. So it cost him 4 million years in total.

When he looked at the Will Stat, he said to himself, ’This should have upgraded when I completed the fourth layer and advanced to rank 9. I felt it after I came out of that dream of my past.’
