He left Skarg, the two sons of the Rein Family, Jim, Tommy, Rusty, Death’s Envoy, and he didn’t destroy any of the buildings.

The people he left alive were old acquaintances. Most of them were left alone on a whim. But the people of the Rein Family were left alive for a specific reason. That reason isn’t to eat Golden Sun, though. He is not ready to try that again.

As for the sect grounds, he felt that alone too because he didn’t want to challenge the sect directly. But he is not sure if this will be enough to keep the sect from hunting him for taking over a million lives.

When he thought about what could happen, he said inwardly, ’As long as a Dao Lord doesn’t come, I should be fine. If a Dao Lord does come, then I will have to find another way. Anyway, I won’t join the sect again.’

If he were a member of the sect who destroyed a city, the sect would only fine him and call it a day. As for what the owner of the city would do to him for destroying the city, the sect won’t concern itself with that.

But if he were to destroy a city without being a member of the sect, that would be considered an invasion by a hostile entity. So the sect will definitely intervene in the matter of retribution. What is uncertain is how much that intervention will be and if they would alert their Dao Lord for a city that was destroyed.

He can avoid all of these by registering with the sect. But his experience from the previous timeline has shown him that it would be a bad idea to let the sect mark him.

No amount of benefits, such as a bank account tied to his soul or a sect token for easy communication and access to a market, would change his mind about this. Not even the chance to become the "highly coveted" sect elder position can entice him to do this.

This is why he also isn’t interested in becoming the new Monarch Gold Body. Of course, having a Divine Position of the Four Directions Sect in his Cave Heaven at this point would have more dire consequences than simply becoming a member of the Four Directions Sect.

With his mind made up, he turned his attention inwards. By this time, the transformation of his body had become complete. He could feel how much he had grown, but to get a clearer idea of his progress, he used the Power Identification Ability.

At a glance, he could tell that he had made a lot of changes. Some of the changes were expected, but most of them were not something he could have guessed.

The change he most expected to make was to advance from rank 8 to rank 9. He got what he wanted, but it didn’t happen the way he wanted it.

The source of the power that boosted his Dao Status from rank 8 to rank 9 was the Force Organ and the World Power Ability. But these two are gone now. They’ve now been replaced by the Divine Spark.

As fast as he can tell, the Divine Spark is like the Divine Position. But the Divine Spark is clearly of a higher grade in quality and power.

The Divine Position had helped him advance to rank 6, and it had helped him break the limit of 5 units in his stats. Lastly, the Divine Position had helped him to awaken the Insight Stat.

These are all impressive achievements, but the Divine Spark is in a different league of its own. The first main difference between them is that the Divine Spark helped him advance to rank 9 and broke the limit of 8 units in his stats.

This is the part where things start to become unexpected. He expected the part where the Divine Spark helped him to advance to rank 9, but he didn’t expect that it would help him upgrade his stats, and he didn’t expect that it would help him construct a Cave Heaven that is 1 billion square kilometers in size.

In comparison, the Divine Position had helped him to build a Cave Heaven that was 87.4 million square kilometers in size. So this is a quantitative difference of 11.44 times.

But then the Divine Spark took things further by helping him to create Divine Positions. So, while the Divine Spark didn’t unlock any new stats for him, it made him capable of creating Divine Positions and unlocking the Insight Stat in others.

The ability to create Divine Positions is the World Power Ability now. It is basically an ability to grant power to others and turn them into World Kings.

He doesn’t really care about this ability much since it won’t improve his ability directly. But when this World Power Ability is combined with the Dragon Appointment Ability and the Dragon King Authority Ability, he became a lot more interested.

The Dragon Appointment Ability can be used to transform a target into a dragon, while the Dragon King Authority Ability can be used to transform a dragon into a dragon king.

Right now, the Dragon King Authority Ability can only be used on a single dragon at a time. So he can only maintain one dragon king.

For the time being, the Dragon King Authority Ability is being used on him. But he can choose to give another dragon the Dragon King Authority Ability.
