To the inhabitants of his Cave Heaven, it looked like the world was ending and the sky had come crashing down. They were wrong, of course. But for many of them, it didn’t matter if the world was about to be destroyed because they were going to die, and whatever would happen to the Cave Heaven would no longer have anything to do with them.

Most of the living things in his world were weak. This made it so that the average lifespan he gained from the was one month each. So he needed to kill and devour 120 million living things to get 10 million years of lifespan.

He had a total of 680 million living things living in his Cave Heaven, so the 120 million living things that he ate made up 17.65% of the inhabitants of his Cave Heaven. With this many batteries on hand, he felt confident about his next plan.

But first, he sent 10 million years of lifespan into the force organ. The force organ converted the lifespan to force units at a rate of 100 to 1. Then it used the force units to fill up the third layer of force.

The experience felt odd because he could feel that he was losing a lot of lifespan as if someone was attacking him, and he was healing his injuries. But he knew that he wasn’t being attacked, so he didn’t stop pouring lifespan into the force organ.

As lifespan was consumed, 90 thousand new vibrating strings were created. This made a total of 100 thousand strings vibrating in the three layers of the force organ.

When the last vibrating string was created, all of the 100,000 strings synchronized and resonated with each other. This caused them to double in thickness. Then he immediately felt himself become stronger.

The increase in his strength made him laugh. As he laughed, he activated the Power Identification Ability and used it to confirm his situation.

Since he had now advanced to rank 8, he could raise his stats to 8 units. And since he had a lot of lifespan, he decided to do the upgrade now.

The upgrade was made through Fenrir, so changes to it would be permanent. The first stat he picked to raise was the Insight Stat. When he raised it to 8 units, it cost him 100,000 years of lifespan.

This made him click his tongue and say, "At this rate, each of my stats will cost 1,000,000 years of lifespan to raise it to rank 9."

"Not that I’m complaining. I have the lifespan, and I can upgrade my stats easily while others can’t, so there is nothing to complain about."

By the time he upgraded the Body Stat, Mind Stat, Soul Stat, and Will Stat, he had spent a total of 500,000 years of lifespan. This is ten times more than what he spent to raise his stats to 7 units, so he expects to pay 5,000,000 years of lifespan to raise his stats to 9 units at this rate.

If he turned out to be right or if the cost of lifespan is even more expensive than he expected, he still wouldn’t complain because the power is his and cannot be taken away or lost like the power of other divine beings.

Now that he has advanced to rank 8, the next plan should be upgrading his Divine Metacs to rank 8. He thought about doing this, but then he remembered that he couldn’t take his Metacs with him anytime he reversed time.

So if he upgraded his Divine Metacs to rank 8, he would have to do so again next time he went back into the past. This would waste all of the time and energy that he put into upgrading them. There was also the fact that the upgrade was too expensive.
