According to Fenrir’s capabilities, he would need two rank 6 Divine Metacs to make one rank 7 Divine Metac. Mathematically, this means he will have to give up 6 + 6 units of power, which is 12 units of power, for one 7 units of power.

In that case, he would lose 5 units of power to get one rank 7 Divine Metac. This makes the efficiency at 58.33%. So not only is the upgrade expensive, but its efficiency is also bad.

The conversion efficiency of the rank 8 Divine Metac is even worse. He would have to give up four rank 6 Divine Metacs for one rank 8 Divine Metac, so he would be giving up 24 units of power for one 8 unit of power.

With this exchange, he would lose a whopping 16 units of power. So the efficiency is 33.33%.

If he were a divine being who needed a rank 8 Divine Metac to upgrade their stat to 8 units and couldn’t use more than four Divine Metacs at the same time, this trade of four rank 6 Divine Metacs for one rank 8 Divine Metac would be worth it.

Since they are capped at four Divine Positions, this would grant them an opportunity to replace their four rank 6 Divine Metacs for four rank 8 Divine Metacs. This will increase the total amount of power from 24 units to 32 units.

This upgrade from 24 units to 32 units will surely be expensive, but it will be worth it for them. Besides, they have no choice in the matter. They have to make the upgrade or continue to use rank 6 Divine Metacs, which won’t allow them to make full use of the potential of their increased cultivation rank.

But he is not like other divine beings. He has a lot of options about what Divine Metacs he can use, what pathways those Divine Metacs must be in, and how many of them he can use at once.

He has so much leeway with how many Divine Metacs that he can use at once that there is no limit. If there is one thing limiting him, it is that no matter how many Divine Metacs he has and no matter how much he upgrades them, he will lose them when he returns to the past.

With these two reasons standing against spending time and energy to upgrade his Divine Metacs, he decided to do something that would increase his power permanently. So increasing the size of his Cave Heaven is also out of the question.

Right now, the only thing that he can do to achieve permanent growth in his power is to upgrade his cultivation to rank 9. And there are two options for this.

The first option is to take Slav’s Supreme Metac for himself. The second one is to help Money Body make a Supreme Metac before taking it from the money cultivator.

The first option is the easiest and quickest option. He already knows where Slav is. All he needs is some power to take the Supreme Metac by force.

If he were to go with the second option, he would need to accept the sect mission, go to Oceania, help Money Body defeat the dragons, and help Money Body make the Supreme Metacs. There are too many things he needs to do, and the amount of power he needs to do them is much higher than what he should need to take down Slav.

After all, Slav is currently down on his luck and is still a mortal. On the other hand, he will have to deal with the dragon king and Money Body, who are peak rank 8 divine beings. So the choice is clear.

With his mind made up on taking Slav down, he decided that what he should do is accumulate as much power as fast as possible before going back to the Blessed Heaven World. So even though he didn’t plan to prioritize increasing the size of his Cave Heaven, he will still do it.

He planned to get as many Divine Metac as he could in a short amount of time and increase the size of his Cave Heaven quickly. This is why he is going to the four small worlds belonging to the Thorn House of Commerce now.

What he didn’t know was that he was also being hunted. As for the identity of the person hunting him, it is someone he wouldn’t be surprised about if he found out.

The person hunting him went to the last place he visited in the Sea of Worlds. This person came to a small world together with three other people. The three of them immediately got to work examining the void where the small world used to be.

One of the people doing the inspection was Monarch Eye Tracker. This divine being, who was mostly a single eye, was busy searching for the traces that the world left behind.

The second person was more normal-looking. They were still abnormal in that their two eyes were glowing brightly with white light. As a woman, their shining eyes made them more beautiful, which is the opposite of how Monarch Eye Tracker looked.

This second person was scanning the scene vigorously and actively using their Divine Metac to derive information that couldn’t be seen by normal eyes.

The third person was a man. He had no eyes in his face, so he looked worse than the only lady among them. But he was still better looking than the Monarch Eye Tracker.

This last person was the one who wasn’t doing anything. Actually, they were talking. While the other two were busy, this person was talking.

He said, "I’m telling you, something is wrong here. I saw this world three months ago. It was still here. But it suddenly disappeared without any warning."

"And this is the fifth one, too. How can five worlds disappear just like that? Their disappearance can’t be normal."

He spoke with an agitated tone. And as he spoke, small eyeballs floated around him frantically.
