Chapter 285: Game Plan.

The Death Crow Life Ability manifested as a black crow with a single eye on its head. The blacl crow was standing on her shoulder and was cawing loudly as it glanced at everyone.

It was the rank 5 money cultivator that was chosen to speak with them. She said with a voice full of impatience, “Time is money, so I won’t waste time with you on this.”

“The winning conditions are two. We are to either kill all of the world guardians of this small world or kill all the rank 4 soldiers of the other four sects. This means that we will have a total of five enemies in battle.”

“We will be up against the other four sects and the resistance of the small world. Not only will this be difficult, but it is also certain that the other four sects will gang up on us and will make sure to eliminate us before they fight each other.”

But before Loki could decide what to do, one of the rank 4 cultivators close to his position walked up to another one and said, “Look who’s here. It is the infamous daddy’s boy.”

The person he was talking to didn’t like what he said at all. Loki sensed this when he saw the face of the so-called daddy’s boy become cold as ice.

Then the daddy’s boy said, “Watch your mouth, Fern!”

But Fern sneered and said, “Or what? Will you run over to your daddy to report me?”

“Go on then, Amu. Let me see what kind of man you are who can’t even defend himself from words without his daddy’s help.”

Amu had had enough. But he didn’t argue with Fern. He said, “I will kill you as soon as I lay my eyes on you on the battlefield.”

But Fern wasn’t deterred. He just smiled and said, “As if you can kill me. Or have you forgotten that your daddy is not going to be around to help you fight your battles and kill your enemies?”

In response, Amu chuckled and said, “I haven’t forgotten at all. I know that my daddy is out here, so I know that even if I fail to kill you, you can’t kill me, or my daddy will kill you.”

What he said made Fern’s smile stiffen. He didn’t have anything to say to refute that claim, so he snorted in response before turning away to leave.

But Amu couldn’t let him go just like that. He called out to Fern, saying, “What’s the matter? Is it that you don’t dare to actually kill me? Is this all your so-called self-made success is worth? Why is it that you can’t kill a weak and pampered person like me?”

Fern didn’t turn back, but he said, “At least, I am stronger than you. When I advance to rank 5, I will kill you and that daddy of yours.”

But this claim only made Amu burst out laughing. He laughed with a sonorous voice as he said, “Right. Continue to dream.”

“Just make sure to have your rewards ready for when my daddy comes knocking on your door to collect them. As long as you hand over your things quickly, you will be fine.”

The two of them ended their war of words there and went their separate ways. But Loki’s interest in their fight didn’t end there.

He looked at Amu as he said, “I can understand how this Fern will be angry, but I don’t understand how Amu could have a loving and doting father who is a rank 5 being.”

“Has his father never been reincarnated before? Why would a reincarnated rank 5 being care about the family of their current reincarnation?”

“No wonder this Amu looks weak and effeminate. He has been pampered too much. Doesn’t his father know that raising him like this is bad for him?”

But there was no one to answer his questions, so he had to keep them to himself. In fact, he mostly kept to himself on the airship, which is what most people did. Only a few people who knew each other from before got together to chat and plan for the upcoming battle.
