Chapter 1374 I Have A Secret.

’He should know, yet they are asking to join the Olympic Court. Either Black Chain is keeping secrets from them, or there is also something fishy going on.’

’Honestly, I’m confused. If their goal is to distract and confuse me, they might be on to something.’

’Unfortunately, I am not so easy to fob off. If I don’t know what the game is about, I can at least ruin it. Either way, as long as I continue growing stronger, victory will be mine.’

His priority was gaining more power, which was why he eventually accepted Wandering Thief’s offer. But he wouldn’t establish a Domain there now, since he already knew it was a trap.

He would only take the poisoned apple when he was confident he could withstand the poison. So he intended to wait until he advanced to two-star celestial and had more Domain Power to dominate the lower realm before tangling with them there.

As for why he asked them to help expand his sect, he was half serious and half joking when he did it. Of course, he took the matter seriously and would really appreciate it if they helped him expand the Olympic Sect.

Expanding his sect was serious, but he knew not to expect goodwill from his enemies. In fact, he would be suspicious, as he was now, if they actually listened to him and helped expand the Olympic Sect.

But Loki scoffed and said, "You have to pay me first. I’m not offering such a valuable secret for free."

Hearing this, her enthusiasm dropped by half. But she still wanted to know the secret, so she asked, "Who is the secret about? What is its value? And what do you want for it?"

Loki smiled as he said, "It is about Wandering Thief. This secret will expose his plans for world domination. I want 20,000 celestial gold for it."

Heavenly Eye’s hackles went up like a startled cock when she heard his request. She raised her voice, saying, "Are you crazy?"

"I don’t have 20,000 celestial gold. Who would possibly have that much celestial gold?"

Loki knew for a fact that she had that much money, but he still decided to pretend with her that she was poor and said, "5,000 celestial gold. That’s my final offer."

Shaking her head, she said, "It is still too much. I’m not made of gold."

’Keep lying. We’ll see how much longer you can lie when I visit your stash,’ he thought with a sneer.

On the surface, he frowned and said, "In that case, I guess this deal can’t be done."

Then he made to leave.

"Wait. Hold on. Don’t be in a rush to leave just because of a slight disagreement," she said, calling him back.

"So do you have the money?" he asked, still frowning.

In response, she sighed and said pitifully, "I wish I did. But I really am not rich. It pains me to admit it, honestly."

"Be that as it may, I still think we can make the deal. How about this? Ask for something equivalent to the money. As long as I can do it, I’ll do it.

"Hmmmm. In that case, I want you to let me freely expand my sect in your Domains all over the Sea of Worlds," he said, stating his true goal.

Heavenly Eye twitched in anger and annoyance. She wanted to raise her voice at him and curse him as much as she could, preferably to death, for asking for something so greedy.

But she also wanted to know the secret, so she tried to stay calm and asked, "Is this a prank? Don’t tell me this is a serious request because it isn’t."

His offer was actually an insult. It was common sense not to allow another Dao Lord to establish their sect in your territory. Yet he acted like it wasn’t a problem.

It was also common sense that if you wanted more people in your Domain, you don’t ask other Dao Lords for more souls. Instead, you steal the souls of mortals from them. That’s what the Heavenly Battlefield and Earthly Battlefield were for.

Yet, Loki was breaking every convention. She considered the offer only because the Olympic Sect was weak, and his new cultivation system looked like it would soon crash in a big scandal.

Seeing as she was so angry, Loki said, "Let me sweeten the deal for you. I’ll also let you expand your sect in all of my Domains. That way, you won’t lose out on this deal."

She almost didn’t believe what she just heard, prompting her to say, "Are you senile?"

But she didn’t say that. She caught herself just before asking if he was out of his mind.

Instead, she smiled and said, "It seems I misjudged you."

"For a while there, I thought you were asking for my permission just to mess with me or force me to do something else by asking for a ridiculous price. But now I see that you have purely good intentions."
