"Please forget my earlier remark. Let’s move on with this deal’" she said while trying to hide her enthusiasm.

"I think it is a great offer. but how long will our cooperation last exactly? I’m asking because I want to know if it will be worth my investment" she said to put pressure on him and make him increase the duration.

Loki was tempted to say, "Forever and ever."

But he knew that such an open-ended offer would make her suspicious. Besides, he didn’t need that much time to execute his plans.

So he said, "A maximum of a thousand years. No more than that. But we can reduce it if you’re not comfortable."

"No problem. A thousand years is good for me. Let’s make the deal, she said hurriedly.

Before Loki could back out, she said, "I swear on my Seer Pathway to work together with the Dao Lord known as the Inevitable Ragnarok in allowing the free expansion of our sects in each other’s territory as long as he tells me a secret about Wandering Thief that I don’t know and swears an oath that it is the truth."

"I’d prefer it if you swore on your Dao Heart," Loki said, unsatisfied.

Upon hearing his request, she hesitated slightly. She took a moment to think about what she was about to do.

After all, swearing on her Dao Heart was a big commitment. So she wanted to make sure she wasn’t falling into some kind of trap.

When she didn’t see anything wrong, she said, "In that case, I swear on my Dao Heart to work together with the Dao Lord known as the Inevitable Ragnarok in allowing the free expansion of our sects in each other’s territory, as long as he tells me a valuable secret about Wandering Thief that I didn’t know before he told me and swears an oath that it is the truth."

She didn’t know anything about the Olympic Sect because Wandering Thief hadn’t told her. As for Wandering Thief, he didn’t know because Time Traveler didn’t tell him.

But Time Traveler didn’t do this to hide information. He also didn’t know about the Dao Fetus cultivation system and had never heard of it. All of these culminated in Heavenly Eye being open to the offer.

This time, Loki was satisfied with her oath. He nodded and said, "When do you want the secret?"

At this point, she cared less about the secret than about invading Loki’s Domain with her sect and setting up shop in his house for a thousand years.

Eager to conquer, she wanted to start taking advantage of him as soon as possible. Unfortunately, he had to tell her a good secret first, so she reined in her excitement.

Keeping her face stoic, she said, "Let’s start now."

"Here it is. Wandering Thief resurrected his two brothers, Time Traveler and Golden Sun. The three of them are working together to regain control of the Sea of Worlds," he said sincerely.

But Heavenly Eye showed no reaction. Her face was frozen for a long while before she said, "Is that it?"

Seeing that she wasn’t impressed, he said, "I swear on my Dao Heart that it is the truth."

"I’m not doubting you. The issue is that I already know this, so it doesn’t count," she said in dissatisfaction.

This time, she was pretending to be dissatisfied. She really wanted to hear a good secret, so her voice took on a steely edge as she said, "I hope you have more."

Loki racked his brain for a while as he said, "Let me think."

A few seconds later, he said, "I’ve got it."

"Did you know that Wandering Thief can use his Freedom Supreme Metac to invalidate oaths?"

"Is that true?" Heavenly Eye asked, skeptical. "I hope you’re not deceiving me."

In response, Loki said, "I swear on my Dao Heart that I know it to be true that Wandering Thief can break oaths and remove the consequences of doing so with his Freedom Supreme Metac."

Heavenly Eye became silent for a long time. In that time, she stared at Loki, trying to see through him. She also began reviewing everything that had happened in their conversation.

She was suspicious because it was clear to her now that Loki was targeting Wandering Thief and her alliance. At the very least, this secret would do just that, even if it wasn’t his true intention.

She knew Loki was their enemy, so she was more inclined to believe this whole deal was just for this moment, and that she’d fallen into a scheme. So the way she looked at Loki changed. Now she didn’t think he was as clueless or as stupid as she’d thought when he offered to let her spread her sect in his Domain.

’Unfortunately, it is too late to back out now. The damage has been done,’ she thought as she sighed inwardly.

’I can also ignore this secret. But can I do that?’

’And what is up with allowing me to establish the Nexus of Truth on all of his Domains? What is he planning?’

Meanwhile, the silence between them continued for a while longer. Eventually, Loki couldn’t hold on anymore and broke the silence.

He asked innocently, "Is that secret good enough?"

"It is good enough," she said while trying not to grit her teeth.

Her face remained placid as she asked, "Is there anything else?"

"No. That’s all I have," he said, shaking his head.

He also chuckled as he said, "I’m not a fountain of infinite secrets, you know."

"Hmmm," she grunted, not believing him. "In that case, we’re done here."

She didn’t wait for his response before withdrawing her Divine Spirit and disappearing.

Watching her leave, Loki’s naive face slowly transformed. His eyes became sharp, and a sneer appeared on his lips as he said, "Got her where I want her."

"Now, let’s see what Time Traveler will do. I doubt he saw this coming."
