Chapter 1328: New Ascension.

‘Honestly, I don’t want to meet the guardian anymore. Unfortunately, I don’t have a choice in the matter,’ he thought as he began ascending.

The earlier fight with the future Fenrir had been short, but impactful. Some of the Supreme Metac’s power had leaked into the surroundings and been sensed by the Dao Lords.

The stars in the sky were already considering whether to descend to attack him. He was not a match for them in his current state, so he decided to advance as soon as possible.

To ascend, he only had to use the spark of power. Immediately, he tried using the divinity within the spark of power; the limit in the rules of the world broke, and it drew the universe’s attention to him.

A grand, majestic force from the world around him descended upon him to examine him. This force looked at him with interest for a while, trying to remember him.

It was trying to remember him to see if there was a record of him being a Dao Lord. It did see something in the records, but the information was no longer relevant, so it began a fresh assessment of his qualifications.

Like an impartial judge, it tabulated his Rank, Total Stars, the Size of his Supreme Metac, and the Conversion Efficiency of his Life Fire.

Everything was transparent to Loki, so he saw that his qualifications for advancement were assessed as Rank(9) × Total Stats(45) × Size of Supreme Metac(37^3) × Conversion Efficiency of Life Fire(100%). Finally, his qualifications were determined to be 20,514,465 units.

This part didn’t surprise him at all because he was already used to it. What surprised him was how nonchalant the grand force of the universe was about the whole thing.

‘It didn’t even blink or question me when it saw a Supreme Metac with an effective size of 37^3. Is it used to something like this?’ he thought, chuckling.

He felt amused as his qualifications were converted into potential. 20,514,465 units of potential were supplied, of which 34,599 units of potential were used to create ten godheads.

34,599 was only 0.17% of his total available potential. The remaining 20,479,866 was about to be withdrawn by the grand force of the universe, but he used the spark of power to devour more.

Unfortunately, he couldn’t devour much because most of the cubes in the 4-D prototype had already devoured potential and were golden. Only the latest three cubes were still fresh and could use some potential.

After the 35th, 36th, and 37th cubes were turned into golden godheads, another 140,184 units of potential were consumed, leaving over 20 million units.

Unwilling to give up, he directed the grand force of the universe to repair the fragment of the Devouring Pathway for him. So his potential was consumed again to repair Fenrir to the peak of Rank 9.

As usual, the grand force of the universe didn’t stop there. It fused Fenrir with one of the ten godheads, provided the divine crystal, and turned it into a star for him.

All of this cost 8,100 units of potential, for a total of 182,883 potential consumed. So he still had 20,331,582 units left.

‘I can’t let this go to waste just yet. Let me see what else I can upgrade,’ he thought, unwilling.

He tried upgrading the Supreme Metacs within the 4-D prototype the same way he’d upgraded the incomplete Fenrir to a Cosmic Dao. Unfortunately, it didn’t work.

Then he tried to upgrade his godheads to see if there was a more powerful version. This didn’t work either.

So he tried to upgrade the Fenrir within the godhead to see if it could be enhanced beyond the Cosmic Dao grade. The attempt failed too.

The grand force of the universe was getting impatient with him, but he refused to give up. He tried sacrificing his potential to awaken the other godheads before time. When it failed, he had a brilliant idea.

‘Of course, I have to upgrade Fenrir to 10% conversion efficiency first before I can activate more godheads,’ he thought, realizing his mistake.

So he immediately directed the grand force of the universe to raise Fenrir’s conversion efficiency to 10%, or even 20%. The grand force of the universe didn’t move an inch. It was as if it didn’t hear his request.

Despite the series of failures, he refused to let more than 20 million units of potential go like that. For his next attempt, he directed the potential towards the Divine Spark to upgrade it.

This time, there was finally movement. The Divine Spark drained his potential and funneled it beneath it to create a golden mountain. The golden mountain drank the delivered potential like a starving baby and used it to grow.

Just like that, the golden mountain swelled and grew. It was 10 million square kilometers, the size of a small world, and would require spending a lifespan to expand it to 10 billion square kilometers, the minimum size of a super world.

But instead of going the normal route of using lifespan to grow, the golden mountain consumed his potential. And instead of stopping at 10 billion square kilometers, the golden mountain continued to grow.

From 10 billion square kilometers, it reached 100 billion square kilometers. It was almost the size that the Blessed Heaven World ascended with in the previous timelines. But the golden mountain still didn’t stop there.

The golden mountain kept expanding until it reached 1,000 billion square kilometers. By then, it had consumed 11,100,000 units of potential.

‘Damn it. Now I’m tempted to keep this in the lower realm and not create a Divine Mountain with it,’ he thought, clicking his tongue in amazement.

He had never had up to 1,000 billion square kilometers of Domain Power before. His maximum was when he had two pathways and Domains on nine super worlds, totaling 145.8 billion square kilometers.
