Chapter 1327: Battle For Loki.

Muni was solemn and had a look on his face that showed that he was dead serious as he said, “This is a very important question. You should ask yourself this question and answer it before you decide to go ahead with joining the Four Directions Sect.”

“Many of you are here to earn your freedom, and some of you are here to grow stronger. But just how serious are you about achieving your goals?”

“This is an important question because by the end of the year of training, at least half of you will be dead. Some of you will be killed by me just as the weak, sick, and crippled animals in a herd or farm are culled.”

This statement made many people’s heart rates spike, the worst of them being the spark of power within Loki.

The original spark of power was fused with incomplete Fenrir and didn’t possess any Supreme Metac. So it definitely didn’t possess the 4-D prototype and wasn’t as knowledgeable as the future spark of power.

The original spark of power was so ignorant it didn’t know who the guardian and the Gemini people were. He was just a boy who escaped from his slave master and was looking forward to a better future.

But even though the mind within the spark of power was ignorant, it knew something was wrong when it saw Fenrir appear from the future with a third eye on his forehead and a mind of its own.

The previous time Loki used the Rewind Metac and a Fenrir from the future arrived at this point, the old Fenrir was consumed by the new one when they fused. But this time, the original spark of power didn’t hesitate to turn the tables.

As the future Fenrir fused with the present-day incomplete Fenrir, the future Fenrir was subsumed and devoured.

“What is going on here? What are you doing? Stop this?” Loki, within the godhead, shouted at his counterpart.

From Loki’s perspective, he was being attacked and didn’t understand why. From the mind within the spark of power’s perspective, he was an invader that should be destroyed. So the two of them clashed.

During the fight, the guardian watched with interest. When it saw the spark of power, its interest was piqued.

“So this is why he can do those extraordinary things! No wonder! No wonder!”

“The true body must hear about this,” he said excitedly.

As it spoke, it also helped the future Loki fight. It wanted the future one to win since they were partners at this point and because its continued existence depended on it.

Unfortunately for them, they were in the form of a Supreme Metac at this point. It was a Supreme Metac, far beyond Loki’s current level, but it was a Metac nonetheless.

The spark of power could use any Metac without restriction, and as long as Loki could provide the energy and withstand Entropy’s backlash, he could use this one too.

This was how a Rank 1 Loki could take and use a Rank 6 Divine Metac. He had lifespan to use it, but even without lifespan, he could still use his life energy to devour the Divine Metac.

The only advantage the future Fenrir had was that he carried a god’s body part. But for some reason, the flesh couldn’t influence the spark of power at all, rendering it nearly useless.

In the exact way the Rewind Metac was defeated, the incomplete Fenrir defeated and devoured the complete Fenrir from the future. Then the fusion was complete, and the godhead awakened his Energy Well.

The only benefit the god’s flesh brought to the fight was making the future Fenrir harder to devour. But it was only slightly more difficult than normal. The spark of power could take a big bite out of Astra and devour it, so flesh this size was barely an inconvenience.

The guardian had one last thought as he was devoured. He chuckled and said, “Ok, this is embarrassing.”

As soon as the fusion was complete, the spark of power from the future with the 4-D prototype arrived and fused with the original spark.

This time, the fusion went smoothly. The future spark of power brought with it a lot of power and knowledge, while the original spark of power presented a Supreme Metac and memories of what just happened.

‘It seems I was wrong. I was very, very wrong. That wasn’t Astra at all. That was the guardian. To think the guardian was that strong,’ he thought, his heart cold.

‘It took over my mind and took my memories for a ride. What an insidious power. What Dao Lord can resist that kind of power?”

‘Fortunately, the spark of power was under his control, and I was able to dispatch the enemy. It only came at a great cost.’

The Fenrir from the future was gone, and so were all the time and effort he’d put into it. All he had now was an incomplete Fenrir without any conversion efficiency.

It didn’t even have 1% efficiency, as it had yet to ascend. The more he thought about what he lost, the more irritated he became. But thinking about how he vanquished the infection made him feel a bit better.

‘At least, I got a new Supreme Metac out of this. And it is also one that the guardian nearly used to wipe out my past.’

‘Looking at it, it was really a fluke that I survived that attack. If the attack hadn’t run out of power and energy at the end, it would have surely erased every trace of me from the timeline.’

‘Now I’m wondering how a part of the power of the guardian is a Supreme Metac. It is like how the part I took from Astra contained schematics for a 4-D prototype. Or at least, that’s what I think it is.’

‘Digression aside, is every powerful figure made of Supreme Metacs? Is the goal of cultivation to become a Supreme Metac?’
