Chapter 1329: Central Domain Or Central Doom.

Unfortunately, he had to take the Divine Spark and the Divine Mountain with him to ascend. And when he reached the upper realm, he would have to rely on super worlds in the lower realm for Domain Power.

By the time the golden mountain finished growing, 9,231,582 units of potential remained. Unfortunately, there was no time left to try more upgrades.

The grand force of the universe returned to the beyond, taking the remaining potential with him. This marked the end of his advancement.

As soon as the advancement finished, the Devouring Dao noticed him. Through the connection between the Devouring Supreme Metac and the Dao Source, another will appeared. This will came with the image of the entity it belonged to.

In his vision, a massive black hole appeared and turned its gaze to him. The black hole stared at him for a while, not speaking.

Just as he was wondering why the black hole wasn’t speaking, the black hole said to him, “Hehe. Prepare yourself.”

Then the will left, taking the imagery with it. So, as the black hole’s voice faded, the vision faded too.

‘That’s different. I wonder what caused this difference.’

When he couldn’t figure it out, he thought, ‘I guess this is it. I’m back to square one. All of my work and effort gone down the drain.’

‘To be fair, even if I didn’t lose Fenrir and the three copies of it in that godhead, I am fairly certain I still wouldn’t have been able to become a Dao Lord with the Seal of Death and Knowledge Supreme Metac.’

‘I thought they would follow me into the River of Time when I activated the Rewind Metac, but they stayed put. It seems only Fenrir can enter the River of Time. If so, I have to find another way to preserve my cultivation when I reverse time.’

Shaking his head, he thought, ‘At least, it wasn’t all a waste. I still have this very large Divine Mountain to show for my efforts. I hope it will bring me a pleasant surprise after I establish it.’

‘If not, I guess the loss of my conversion efficiency would be just to kill that eye. Fortunately, I know how to acquire the conversion efficiency I need quickly. In ten days, I should be ready to advance to three-star celestial once more,’ he thought as he began devouring the world around him.

Above him, Black Chain and the other Dao Lords had appeared. Black Chain, in particular, was riled up and shouting at him.

Black Chain was saying, “Prepare to die.”

“You hear me? I’ll kill you for what you’ve done.”

Loki had heard that threat one too many times and didn’t care. He’d gone through this process so many times that none of it interested him.

The only difference so far was that the Devouring Dao changed what it said to him, and he had become much stronger, causing the backlash of the Sea of Worlds to rise to an unprecedented level.

His goal was to eat as much as possible and kill Golden Sun and Time Traveler, or both, while he was at it. But on his way to Golden Sun, he hit a minor roadblock.

The Divine Mountain within him had empowered him so much that the Central Domain was actually collapsing. From his position, a deep pit had appeared, punching through the whole continental plate. From the hole, cracks spread out through the Central Domain.

The cracks extended like spiderwebs throughout the continent, undermining its structural integrity. Even without doing anything, the area around him was collapsing.

Worse, something was trying to get out from underneath the Central Domain. This object pushed against the continent, adding unnecessary pressure to the fragile continental plate.

All around, the Will of the World cheered and urged Loki to do more damage. Loki didn’t like the Will of the Blessed Heaven World, but he liked eating and wanted to eat a lot, so he kept applying pressure from his side.

With the two of them working against the Central Domain from above and below, the continent couldn’t hold out any longer. Cracks spread from Loki’s position to the edge of the continent, and it split in two.

From two pieces, the continent split into three. Then it went from being three pieces to four. But that was only temporary too. As pressure on the continent increased, it kept splitting.

“Damn you,” Black Chain shouted in anger. “You will die many times over this.”

Of course, the Dao Lord of the Four Directions Sect wasn’t just shouting. He was also moving what he could salvage from the collapsing continent away.

Black Chain knew that moving his Domain would let the Will of the Blessed Heaven World escape, but he couldn’t care about that now when the entire Central Domain was in danger of disappearing.

Between losing control of the Will of the World and losing his Domain, he knew which one to prioritize. At least, a damaged Domain could be healed. But if he lost the Domain, the Will of the Blessed Heaven would never let him anchor his Supreme Metac again. So he moved the Central Domain away without hesitation.

Loki didn’t like this at all, as Black Chain was literally taking food out of his mouth. He rushed over to eat more and reach Golden Sun faster. But the more he wielded his power, the more the Sea of Worlds pushed him out.

When he first advanced, he could spend ten seconds in the lower realm before it sent him packing. That level of indulgence had been slowly reduced over time. Now, he couldn’t even last a second before the Sea of Worlds decided it was done with him.

His figure soared from the gray third dimension into what looked like a tunnel of light. At first, the tunnel was small. But as he went through it, it grew bigger and wider. His body was flung into the sky like he was the payload of a catapult.
