Chapter 116: Chapter 116: Let Liang He Teach a Public Class?

"You want me to teach a class?"

Fresh from her afternoon training session, Liang He, escorted by Assistant An, met privately with President Lucas in a restaurant private room as agreed.

"Yes. The news of you finding the Little Elephant through the Bear Bee last night has already spread. Everyone hopes to learn some animal communication techniques from you."

President Lucas’s explanation left Liang He speechless. She didn’t even know why she could communicate with animals herself. How was she supposed to explain it to others, let alone teach a class?

"President, I’m afraid I can’t teach."

Liang He’s polite refusal did not make President Lucas give up. "I understand your concerns. Communicating with animals is entirely your innate ability; it has nothing to do with technique."

Liang He was fundamentally different from him. He had managed to stand out among the breeders back then only because he accompanied and cared for the animals day and night, gradually earning their trust. But Liang He was different. Through his contact with her recently, President Lucas could tell that her very existence was unique to animals; she possessed an extremely strong affinity with them.

"Since you know that, why do you still want me to teach?" Liang He couldn’t quite grasp President Lucas’s intentions. "From the perspective of an interstellar breeder, I’m just a novice. It’s probably inappropriate for me to give lessons to others."

The attendees of the training seminar were not just novice breeders like her, but also many experienced seniors, as well as experts and scholars in various fields. Making them listen to a newcomer’s lecture—wouldn’t that just draw their ire?

"I mean, you don’t necessarily have to talk about how you communicate with animals. You can share other experiences." In President Lucas’s view, if Liang He could conduct a public lesson and receive a good response, it would be highly beneficial for her future promotion. "For example, how you care for injured animals, the canned food and sick meals you make yourself, and the games you play with the animals—all of these can be shared."

Liang He’s unique breeding methods were well worth learning for others.

"Your methods might help other breeders build closer relationships with animals, allowing them to rescue them more effectively," he added.

President Lucas’s words made Liang He fall silent. She thought it over carefully and felt it wasn’t impossible. If she could truly help rescue more fluffy creatures indirectly, she wouldn’t hide her knowledge.

"Please let me think about it."

"Alright. The training seminar lasts for five more days. Can you give me an answer by the day after tomorrow?" Seeing Liang He slightly relent, President Lucas didn’t force her to make an immediate decision. No matter what, he respected her decision.

"Okay."

Having finished discussing business, Liang He and President Lucas finished their dinner together and returned to their respective rooms.

On the way back to her room, Liang He accidentally bumped into a man in a black trench coat. She looked up and met his eyes, finding him inexplicably familiar. Just as she was about to speak, she was interrupted by Hoder, who had been taking the Platinum Giant Lion for a walk and had come to pick her up along the way.

By the time Liang He recovered her wits and looked for him, the man had disappeared.

"Liang He, what are you looking at?" Hoder was a little curious seeing Liang He constantly looking around as if searching for something.

"It’s nothing."

Unable to find the man, Liang He didn’t bother dwelling on it. She simply shook her head slightly, then frowned as she stroked the Platinum Giant Lion’s somewhat rough fur. "Cyril, isn’t it time for you to take a bath?"

Among the group of fluffy creatures, only the Iron-eating Beast and the Platinum Giant Lion hadn’t taken a bath. Xuan Jiao was fine; he stayed obediently in the dorm every day, and Liang He wiped his fur with animal wet wipes from time to time, so he didn’t look dirty. But Cyril was like a naughty monkey, darting around everywhere and wanting to jump whenever he saw hoops. Coupled with him following them to find the Little Elephant last night and eating dust behind the Elephant Group, the entire beast looked filthy.

"ROAR?"

Not quite understanding the concept of a bath, the Platinum Giant Lion tilted his head adorably and nudged his massive head into Liang He’s arms, leaving her both exasperated and amused.

"Stop right there! Behave yourself. You’re not allowed to use my clothes as a towel!"

Liang He pushed his enormous lion head away and grabbed him by the ear, preparing to head outside to find a place to bathe him. "Hoder, could you help me ask the hotel for a bottle of animal-specific body wash, a grooming comb, and a towel? I’m going to give Cyril a bath."

Liang He hadn’t planned on bringing the fluffy creatures with her on this business trip, so naturally, she hadn’t prepared these things. Fortunately, when Greenfield Star rescued animals, they occasionally had bathing routines, so the necessary tools were fairly complete.

"ROAR!"

Once Liang He found an outdoor faucet, attached a hose, and adjusted the water temperature, she began rinsing the Platinum Giant Lion. But the moment the water sprayed him, the Platinum Giant Lion jumped up and down, howling wildly as if firecrackers had exploded at his feet.

"ROOOOOOAR!"

The Platinum Giant Lion was protesting against Liang He. However, even the Canglan Hunting Eagle, who disliked water the most, had to honestly endure his baths. Cyril’s protests were naturally useless.

"Stop howling. If you don’t wash clean today, don’t even think about getting on the bed."

Speaking of which, Liang He had been too tired last night to care, but today she’d probably have to trouble the staff to change the bedsheets.

"ROAR~"

Hearing Liang He’s tone, the howling Platinum Giant Lion immediately softened up. He started rolling on the ground again, trying to use his cuteness to get away with it.

"Huh? Liang He, what are you doing?"

Soros popped up from who-knew-where. Liang He realized that whenever she appeared in a public place, she would always spot him.

"Can’t you see? I’m giving him a bath." Knowing perfectly well that Soros was deliberately trying to get close to her, Liang He gave him an exasperated eyeroll. Was his eyesight as poor as his intellect?

"Big dirty cat." Liang He gently tapped the Platinum Giant Lion’s nose, telling him to stand still obediently.

By the time she had thoroughly soaked his thick fur with water, Hoder had arrived with the body wash.

"I just asked the hotel if they had a drying box. They said they recently got a new one, but Cyril is too big, so it might not work."

If the Platinum Giant Lion weren’t so filthy, Liang He wouldn’t be in such a hurry to bathe him; she could have completely waited until they returned to the reserve. If he caught a cold, the loss would outweigh the gain.

"It’s fine. If it really doesn’t work, we’ll use the old method." At worst, she would just blow-dry him. It would be tedious, but at least he wouldn’t catch a cold.

"Do you need my help?" Seeing Liang He get busy again, Soros, still wanting to cozy up to her, started scheming once more.

"We won’t trouble Mr. Soros. Cyril doesn’t like strangers getting close." Before Liang He could politely decline, Hoder rejected Soros first.

Knowing he wasn’t welcome, Soros couldn’t make his intentions too obvious, so he could only stand to the side and watch Liang He bathe the Platinum Giant Lion.

Besides him, others who were already paying close attention to Liang He because of her finding the Little Elephant yesterday also followed the commotion. They gathered around, intending to learn Liang He’s "bathing" techniques.

"Lions are felines and hate water, let alone something as difficult as taking a bath. I didn’t expect him to be so obedient under Liang He’s hands!" A breeder who had cared for lions before remembered his own history of blood, sweat, and tears and couldn’t help but give Liang He a thumbs-up.

"Tch, grandstanding. I think she’s just deliberately showing off!"
