The First Legendary Beast Master

Chapter 1648 Slow Adaptation

Chapter 1648 Slow Adaptation

The twin Ninjas simply shrugged at each other. What was done was done, and they weren’t about to deprive that old woman of her prize.

Even if he was their brother.

They joined the rest of the group at the large table by the lake for dinner, and turned to Karl for more explanations.

“Alright, spill. We’ve seen a lot of strange things over the years, but I’ve never seen someone get pulled into one of the Demonic Prison realms and some back out alive, much less the same day.” Jim demanded once the food was mostly gone.

Karl shrugged. “I am an Avatar of the World Dragon, and he’s got an

understanding with the Warden of the Prison. So, instead of simply locking me up and forgetting about me, they actually investigated, and found that we didn’t know we were breaking in.

So, I just had to pay a small fine.

Like the ones here, the Demons of the hell dimensions can be remarkably reasonable when they’ve got a reason to be.

“What is that old woman’s obsession anyhow?” Jim asked.

“Flower arrangement. But her obsession and her personal tastes don’t directly align when there are men involved. There aren’t any young men in the Tiny World for her to hit on, so she’s been a bit lonely.” Ophelia explained.

“He ran away before Remi could give him any new potions to increase his power, though.”

Jim shrugged. “If he needs it, I’m sure that the Naga will be happy to test her products on him later. That is what she was after, right? Getting herself a volunteer for her new products?”

Ophelia shrugged, “That’s the nature of the business. Nobody will let her sell her products to the Clan without having proof of efficacy. But she can’t test them all on herself, they’re not all made for Naga.

So, she constantly looks for volunteers.

Her products do have a rather impressive success rate, though. Most of the residents here have been taking Immortal Rank pills for the last few weeks, every time that she comes up with something new.

It’s been amazing for our power levels. The only issue we have is that so many have reached the peak of Mythic Rank power, and they’re being limited by their lack of understanding of the Fundamental Rules.

Once they can master that, they’ll soon be Immortals.”

Jim nodded. “That’s one of the disadvantages of growing up in a Mortal World. If you’re born in an Immortal World, the comprehension of the Rules comes much faster. Plus, they teach it in school.

If you could get a tutor for the peak Myths here, you might be able to help them all advance more quickly.”

Ophelia hummed as she considered the options.

Most of it would be up to Karl, about who he would bring in and let know about the Tiny World. But they did have a few others that she suspected would be staying for some time.

Brother Chin, the white dragon who had regressed to a small body would likely be one. Plus Geoff and Nyan. The Catgirl was in her element here, and had spent half the day either basking in the sun, absorbing energy, or chasing around Cara and Button.

It might not be the most efficient place for her to advance, but she was happy here, and if she knew enough, they could use her as a tutor.

The twins didn’t seem like the sort, and the berserker was definitely out. But even one good tutor would be enough to get them started. If they could get a bunch of teaching materials from the school, that would be even better.

She would ask Leo to try to sweet talk them into giving him copies of the books, so that the Librarian here could make duplicates for everyone. Nobody could say no to Leo in Tortollan form. The tiny bipedal turtle kin was simply too adorable.

Once they had enough knowledge here in the Tiny World, they could properly educate the newborns, and they were going to have to act fast. Any day now, they were going to be overwhelmed with them, and the eggs were already showing signs of imminent hatching.

Given how the catgirl reacted to a tiny Geoff, she should be a reliable resource to help the other hatchlings.

A very reliable resource. Assuming that they could pry her off of the hatchlings long enough to do any teaching.

The red dragons should know a way, they trained to deal with Priestesses like Lotus, so they had to be prepared for a catgirl obsessed with cuddling small

dragons.

Karl was thinking the same thing that Ophelia was. Once the eggs were all hatched, they were going to need as many tutors as they could recruit. But while they had many skilled teachers, they didn’t have any that had experience teaching children to Immortality.

If this was a proper Immortal Realm, they shouldn’t have to worry about it. The children would learn naturally with just a bit of guidance.

But the Tiny World wasn’t quite at that standard yet.

However, the new plants would go a long way toward making the change. The real limiting factor was the Tiny World’s inability to regulate Immortal Energy. It didn’t have enough resources that produced it and used it to sustain growth at the same level as an Immortal World.

But they had brought back a huge amount of plant life, and what didn’t go into the Beast Spaces would be planted here in the next day or two.

Some of those plants were supposed to be Supreme Ranked when fully grown, so if they could survive in the Tiny World, they would help it regulate power for as long as there were mortals coming and going.

Once every member of the Darklight Host who came to visit them was an Immortal, it really wouldn’t matter anymore.

But that could be a very long time, as the Dragon Isles back home were never intended to sustain that many Immortals, and the Darklight Host members only came a few at a time for resources, then usually returned right away, staying one or two nights at the most before they had to go back to work.
