The First Legendary Beast Master

Chapter 1646 Someone Noticed

Chapter 1646 Someone Noticed

Karl opened a portal back to the woodlands outside the Earth Element cave, so that he didn’t cause everyone to freak out by opening a portal into the Clan Compound or somewhere equally inadvisable.

But what he quickly realized was that they may have caused a minor disturbance again.

“You, who are you?” A Peak Immortal woman in transparent peach coloured robes demanded.

For two full seconds, Karl could not answer.

Who thought that outfit was suitable for wearing in public? Where was that person? He needed to thank them and shake their hand.

Then find out how to get Dana to wear it for him later.

“I am Karl, of the New Home Merchant Guild. Is there a problem here? I was going to rest the evening at the cave, perhaps collect some Earth Stones if there were any matured.”

The woman frowned at him. That excuse seemed plausible enough, it was nearly dark now, and the cavern did have a few Earth Elemental stones matured.

“Have you heard nothing about the area today?”

Karl shrugged, “I haven’t been checking my System Messages. Was there something important going on here? I could go straight home, but there are supposed to be some more fire element resources in the area, and I was going to look for them tomorrow before heading back to the Clan!”

“You’re travelling alone?”

“For the moment. It draws less attention than travelling in a larger group. It’s a trade-off, really. Either get more people to fight, or attract less attention. The second one is better for resource gathering if you’re capable of putting up a fight with most of the people you find who are not Elders of their Sect.” Karl agreed.

The woman nodded. “Go back to your Clan. There has been an incident here. A separate space collapsed and destroyed a large portion of the cavern.”

“Alright, not a problem. Elder?”

“Elder Su, of the Plum Blossom Pavillion.”

“Elder Su, then. It’s been a pleasure to meet you. Perhaps we will see each other again under more hospitable circumstances.”

The Elder laughed as Karl opened a portal back to the Clan.

She was not stupid, she knew what Karl was fishing for. The name of her Clan. But he was in for a rude awakening if he thought that he could transfer and get all the beauties he wanted. The Plum Blossom Pavillion allowed no males through their gates.

No matter how much he longed to make his way into the Sect, it would never happen.

But Karl was already gone, and he had the information that he wanted. The outfit he needed Rae to make for Dana was the uniform of the Plum Blossom Pavillion.

In his mind, Rae laughed. She would definitely make the outfit, but there was no way that he was going to convince the Dana Mage to wear that in public. In private, sure. But even by Karl’s standards, that outfit was incredibly daring to be wearing outside.

Plus, Rae knew that Karl wouldn’t actually want anyone else to see her in it. That would be just for him.

Once he was back in his apartment in the Clan Compound, Karl went to join everyone else in the Tiny World and update them on the situation.

“Ah, welcome back. Did you find anything good?” Lotus asked as Karl appeared by the lake, where everyone else was gathered.

The three brothers were simply shocked at this place at first, but then they were enthralled by the idea of having their own separate space full of resources and safe relaxation. They had already placed a request for more of the Villa Stones when they were available at the warehouse again, but if they were around here a bit longer, they might be able to get Karl to make them one directly.

“I found Carnage. Or, his son in law by the same name? I’m not quite clear on that. Either way, the head of the security force was a Legendary Wrath Demon, just like the one we met in the Dungeon.

I was fined for trespassing, and then released.

Not a huge deal, but the space that we looted was actually a Demonic Prison cell, and the Demon Lord that is was supposed to be holding had escaped at some point in the past, without anyone noticing.

It’s all good now.

How did everyone do for materials?”

Lotus smiled happily. “Oh, we did so well. Lots of the plants that they brought back were edible, some are spices. We’re going to take the dinner meal to new heights with this, and they’re regrowing at the Immortal Rank with the help of Leo.

Everyone else’s magic was taking too long to get them to take root and recover. We’re not strong enough for that yet.

But I can feel it, an advancement is coming.”

“That is excellent news. Getting you all to Mythic Rank will make you so much closer to Immortality than you realize. But the improvement in the food will be

a huge one.

I’ve been raiding the pantry since we arrived.”

Lotus laughed. “I barely noticed. Everyone raids the pantry, that is what it’s there for. But the first bunch to Immortality are definitely going to be the Demons and Lizardfolk that we rescued from the invasion force.

Some of them are nearly complete with their studies now, and their power level is already at the peak of Mythic, so they’re just waiting on that final understanding of the Fundamental Rules.”

“Won’t that be fun? We will have a full Immortal Raiding team.

Or, they can move to the New Home Clan and integrate into the Immortal World somewhere that isn’t going to suppress them like the octopus did.

It might not be the best place, though. New Home is almost all humans, and none of them are.

I will look for just the right place, in case they want to move out of the Tiny World, or do some exploring.”

“Find them a dungeon to run, and they will be happy.

Bringing back in loot to help the Tiny World grow would give them a sense of purpose. Well, more purpose than healing, looking after eggs, and gardening.

You know, you’ve got to do all the things to be truly happy.”

Karl laughed. That was a very Lotus notion. Though, Cara fully agreed. If there were fun things left that you didn’t know about, didn’t that mean that you had not yet reached peak happiness?
