Chapter 214 HAPPY BIRTHDAY SLEEPYHEAD

Tomorrow is Luna’s birthday. I’ve already secured the birthday cake, so everything is set for her birthday.

I just need to wait until tonight and decorate the balcony a little so it looks presentable.

There’s only the two of us. I hope she doesn’t mind. After all, it’s not something I can control.

These past couple of days, we’ve been going around and having fun. We’ve done everything, from walking through the town and playing games to watching movies and eating at different places.

Throughout all this time, Luna’s smile never faded. Seeing that, I couldn’t help but smile as well.

As always, today we visited many places and went shopping.

Luna is just like Amy when it comes to shopping for clothes. She takes an eternity to choose something.

As for the staff members, as soon as they saw Luna, they didn’t care about the time either. If they could, they would give her the entire store.

Luna’s charm is just too high.

Her adorable appearance always grants her special privileges everywhere.

Then, after a long shopping session, we finally returned to the hotel we had booked.

This place costs a massive amount of money, but I don’t care. I booked it for the whole month without batting an eye.

It’s nine o’clock, and we’ve already had dinner.

After staying on the balcony for a moment, Luna said she was going to sleep, so I waved at her and said, "Good night, Luna."

She smiled and wished me good night as well before returning to her room.

As soon as she entered, I used my perception to check that she was fully inside. Then I began to work.

I took out all the decorations.

Dark Hands emerged from the darkness and began decorating the whole area.

I controlled all the Dark Hands with great proficiency using my perception.

It didn’t take too long. Everything moved at once, and my proficiency was way higher than that of ordinary people.

I could control them with just one thought.

As for some of the decorations, I teleported myself over to put them in place.

I didn’t want to order the Shadow Guards to do it because it was way easier to do it myself.

Then I finally placed the cake in the middle of the massive balcony.

Everything was set just as I had intended.

Now, I only had to wait until 12:00 to wake that sleepyhead up.

I simply used my Space Affinity to make myself levitate and tried out many spells until she woke up.

As for sleepiness, if I wanted to, I could stay awake for months without a care.

But I didn’t like doing that.

I needed my sleep, even if not sleeping wouldn’t affect me.

Just like Luna, who would fall asleep like a log at the slightest sign of sleepiness.

Then I took out Luna’s new teddy bear and looked at it.

I nodded with satisfaction.

It had Luna’s eyes. They weren’t as beautiful as hers, but still.

Then I noticed that time had already flown by without me realizing it. I inspected her two gifts.

It’s time...

I got up and went to her room.

Then I knocked on the door politely. I couldn’t just barge in like I did with Amy.

No response came, so I kept knocking.

Then I called out louder, "Hey, you sleepyhead! Wake up! It’s morning."

Technically, I’m not wrong. It’s early morning now.

Still, no response came, and my eyes twitched.

Then I called the Shadow Guards and asked, "Is it okay to enter her room?"

A big question mark appeared over my head.

They hesitated a little, unsure how to answer.

So I sighed and said, "Oh, fine. Go and wake that sleepyhead up."

One of the Shadow Guards smiled and entered her room.

I immediately said to her, "Don’t mention anything to her."

She nodded and went inside.

After a few moments, sleepy Luna appeared, rubbing her eyes.

She yawned adorably and asked, "What’s going on, Gray? It’s still night."

I just shrugged and said, "No, it’s morning."

Her eyes twitched as she looked at the time and saw that it was twelve.

She was speechless, but before she could express her feelings about being suddenly woken up, I touched her hand and teleported us to the location I had prepared.

Then I said,

"HAPPY BIRTHDAY SLEEPYHEAD..."

"Happy 14th birthday!"

She blinked.

After that dungeon and secret realm adventure, her concept of time had also taken a hit, so she had completely forgotten about her own birthday.

She looked around at all the decorations and saw the massive cake in the middle, along with the other food.

Her eyes brightened considerably as she remembered my strange behavior over the past few days. She had finally found the answer to the mystery that had been bothering her.

I looked at her and scratched my nose.

"I don’t know who usually attends your birthday celebrations, but today, it’s just me."

She smiled and shook her head.

"No, I don’t like big birthday parties. I prefer this."

I nodded at that and said, "So, how about we cut the cake?"

She glared at me.

"Who’s we? This is my cake. I’m cutting it."

She said that adorably, and I laughed as I raised my hands.

"Yeah, your cake, your cake."

Then she went over to the cake and looked around.

Only then did I realize that I hadn’t brought out a knife, so I tried to get one from my Space Storage.

She simply smiled at my reaction as an elegant ice knife appeared in her hand.

She showed it off proudly and said, "I have a knife."

I looked at it and nodded.

Then, before she cut the cake, I took out a party hat and put it on her head.

She giggled.

Then she looked at herself in the mirror.

"Hmm, this is nice."

Then she cut a slice of cake that included all the different parts of it.

She took the slice and offered me a bite. I took a massive one.

She almost pulled the cake away as she glared at me, while I laughed.

Then she took a bite herself.

"Hmm, delicious."

I nodded and took out the necklace box from my Space Storage.

"I could only find this in the town. I had planned to go to the auction, but I felt like if I went without you, I’d have to hear an earful, so I bought this from a shop."

"I hope you like it."

Her eyes shone as she nodded.

Then she took the box and opened it.

Inside, she saw a minimalist necklace with an elegant crescent-moon-shaped pendant.

It was purple, and she studied it carefully.

She had thousands of necklaces and pieces of jewelry.

So this one alone couldn’t impress her that much, but she had to admit that she liked the design. It was definitely something she would have bought if she had seen it in a shop.

So she nodded with a bright smile.

"Hmm, I truly like it."

I nodded and said, "I figured it wouldn’t impress you that much, so I got you a second gift."

I grinned as I said that.

She raised an eyebrow.

"Oh, there’s another gift?"

As she heard my confident tone, her interest immediately increased.

Then I brought out the teddy bear from my Space Storage and made it hug Luna.

Luna had been waiting for the second gift when her vision was suddenly filled with pure white, and she felt something soft.

A huge white teddy bear was hugging her.

She blinked as she lifted the teddy bear and took a good look at it.

It was a huge white teddy bear with blue eyes.

She couldn’t hold back anymore. Her heart melted, and she hugged the teddy bear, sinking into its soft embrace.

I grinned as I looked at her.

"I knew you’d like it."

She practically fell to the ground with the teddy bear. All her elegance and princess decorum were nowhere to be seen.

She looked just like an excited little girl now.

She looked at me and nodded.

"Hmm, I like it a lot."

I nodded with satisfaction. I knew she was going to like it.

Then we enjoyed the small birthday party, eating and talking about everything I had done, including how I had hidden it all from her.

She listened calmly as I explained how I got the necklace, my original plan for the gifts, and everything else.

We talked and enjoyed the little party until almost 3 p.m.

Then we decided to leave the next day to meet Cecilia together.

Finally, we both went to sleep in our rooms.

She took her human-sized teddy bear with her.

The entire way, she hugged it and carried it around.

I saw that extremely adorable sight as I returned to my room.

I fall to my bed as fell into a deep sleep like a log.
