Chapter 162 - returning home?

I slept like a log until morning and refused to wake up even after the sun had risen.

Then I felt a poke on my cheek.

I slowly opened my eyes, still sleepy, and saw a pair of red eyes looking at me.

I just turned around, covered myself with the blanket, and went back to sleep.

A smile appeared on Amy’s face.

She grabbed the blanket and pulled it down.

"Get up, you sleepyhead. It’s breakfast time."

I groggily said,

"No. I’m too sleepy. You go and eat."

Then I grabbed the blanket and covered myself again.

Amy didn’t give up. She grabbed my blanket and fully pulled it down, then practically dragged me out of bed.

"Get up, you lazy brat!"

I glared at her.

"Let me sleep. I need to sleep."

She looked at me for a moment. She almost let me go back to sleep, but then she immediately shook her head and came to her senses.

"You brat, don’t try to trick me with that pitiful look. Come here."

She grabbed me and practically threw me into the washroom. Then she threw a set of clothes in after me.

"You brat, go take a shower, put those on, and come to breakfast. I won’t leave until you come out."

Then we heard a knock on the door of my room.

Amy looked toward the door.

"Come in."

The door opened, and Luna stood there.

Amy looked at her, and a small smile appeared on her face.

"Oh, Luna. Come here."

Luna nodded and walked over to Amy.

"Where’s Gray?"

Amy sighed.

"Don’t even talk about him. That slacker is sleeping and refusing to get up. He even tried to use his pitiful look to make me go away."

"Humph! Who does he think he is, trying to trick me?"

Luna laughed and asked,

"So where is he?"

Amy looked toward the washroom door.

"I threw that brat into the washroom with his clothes and told him to take a shower, put on a new pair of clothes, and come out."

Luna looked at the door, and a subconscious smile appeared on her face.

"Hmm... What did he say to that?"

Amy snorted.

"What can he say besides obeying and doing it? I won’t take a step out of his room until he comes back with us. This is how I handle his laziness."

Luna nodded and waited for me to come out as well.

After taking a good shower and changing into new clothes, I looked at myself in the mirror and made sure I was at my best.

After my physique awakening, I had become even more perfect to look at.

I walked out and saw Luna and Amy sitting on my bed.

I looked at them and blinked.

"Luna, what are you doing here?"

She smiled.

"I came to call you to breakfast as well. Then I met Sister Amy, so we talked until you came out."

I nodded and looked at Amy.

She smiled.

"Oh, look at that. Little brother, your sleepiness is completely gone."

I just glared at her.

Then we all left for breakfast.

We met Elena and entered a room with a massive dining table for breakfast.

We greeted everyone in the room and took our seats.

I sat beside Luna as usual.

The Empress looked at all of us and nodded.

"So, how about we talk about the Secret Realm? I’m curious about it."

Mom nodded as well.

She ask "so gray did you sleep well last night"

I nodded and look at amy and told "but she come in the morning and basically dragged me from my bead and throw me into the washroom."

"Mom she didn’t even hesitate."

Amy just shrugged and said "that’s how I delt with someone lazy as you."

"If i let you stay anymore you never going to wake up so as your big sister i have to make sure you got up in time"

Mom just look at us and smile and then she ask.

"What happened? Did you guys get any injuries?"

We shook our heads.

"No, we didn’t get many injuries."

Then I said,

"But in the end, I got two things that are very powerful."

Amy nodded as well.

"My talent got upgraded, and I awakened the Fire Affinity."

Luna also spoke.

"I awakened the Moon Affinity and a powerful class related to Ice."

Elena said,

"I awakened the Mist Affinity, and I awakened my bloodline."

The Empress and Mom listened to us and nodded.

"Okay. Who wants to tell us first about their new improvements?"

Luna raised her hand.

The Empress smiled and nodded.

"Okay, okay. Tell me about your class."

Luna happily nodded and explained,

"It’s called Frost Sovereign. It increases my control over Ice and makes my Ice-type attacks more lethal and harder to resist."

"It’s basically giving me greater authority over Ice. I can feel the Ice Element listening to me and obeying my will more easily."

The Empress nodded and asked,

"So, is there anything else impressive? With that class name, I presume there is more."

Luna nodded.

"I also gained some Ice Resistance, and it boosts my attacks. My will also gained the properties of an Ice Sovereign’s Will."

The Empress’s eyes widened slightly.

"Your class’s most powerful aspect is your will enhancement."

Even Elena nodded.

"That’s amazing, Sister."

Luna smiled at that.

Then Elena spoke.

"I awakened my affinity and awakened my bloodline. It’s called the Primordial Radiant Bloodline. It increases my control and comprehension of the Light Affinity, and it has also greatly increased my healing ability, both on others and myself."

Then Mom brought up the most important topic.

"Gray, Amy, today we return to our house, so be ready."

Our eyes widened.

I looked at Luna, and she looked at me.

We had to separate.

So I asked,

"Why is that?"

Mom looked at me and said,

"We came to the royal palace to attend the banquets, and now that the Secret Realm is over, we’re returning home. There are some important things to do."

I looked at her with pleading eyes, but it had no effect.

Amy asked,

"What important matters?"

Mom told her,

"We’re going to declare the next family head. After your birthday, there’s a contest held to choose the next head."

I asked,

"Why can’t you just give it to Amy?"

Mom simply sighed.

"It’s not that simple. In our family, strength is valued the most after bloodline. So, if Amy wants to take the position, she has to compete with the heirs of the other branch families and earn the position."

I nodded.

"Hmm, so that’s it? No big deal. I’m sure Amy will win it easily."
