Amy laughed at that.

"At least you know, little brat."

"I’m going to be the next successor if you didn’t compete so how about it come to compete with me for succession i won’t go easy on you."

I look at her and immediately wave my head in refusal.

"no thanks for that I’m fine as i’m now becoming family head too much responsibility it’s ruined my plan to slack off"

Everyone laughed at that and amy didn’t give up. "You really think i let you stay idol little brother if you think that you are dreaming"

I just smiled wryly i help her if anything i can do for her but as for go and work no way in the hell.

Then, out of nowhere, Luna stood up.

"I want to come too."

The Empress raised an eyebrow and looked at her daughter with amusement.

"Oh, Luna? You want to go as well?"

She said it with a half-smile. She had expected this nonetheless.

Luna nodded with determination.

"Yes, Mom. I can attend Sister Amy’s birthday party as well."

The Empress was full of amusement as she looked at her daughter.

Luna was someone who had never asked for anything since childhood.

It was mainly because Isabella and Elena had always given Luna everything she ever needed, and even more.

Even when she showed the slightest interest in something, they somehow managed to give her everything she wanted. So, she had never really needed to ask for anything.

As the thought settled in the Empress’s mind, it proved right once again.

Elena spoke up.

"Mom, Luna is right. I have to go too. Amy is my best friend, so I have to be there as well."

The Empress simply smiled and looked at Luna.

"So, you’re going for Amy’s birthday, right, daughter?"

Luna looked everywhere except at the Empress and said,

"Ah... about that, I’m bored staying here all alone. Even Sister Isabella isn’t around."

The Empress looked at all the little actions Luna was making and laughed.

Elena looked at this with amusement as well. She knew her mom was just teasing Luna.

I watched it too, but I didn’t interrupt. This was their family matter, and it wouldn’t be polite to interrupt.

Luna tried to explain herself with a flustered tone, but the Empress simply chuckled.

"I’m just teasing you, daughter. It’s fine. You can go."

Luna looked at her mom and nodded.

Then the Empress looked at me and asked,

"So, little Gray, what are you planning to do after your sister goes to the academy?"

I immediately smiled and said in a cheerful tone,

"I’m going adventuring."

The Empress raised an eyebrow.

Even Mom looked at me.

"Adventuring? Who gave you permission, son, to go adventuring?"

Mom smiled at me, but that smile sent a chill down my spine.

I looked at her, but before I had time to speak, Amy chimed in.

"Yes, little brother. Who allowed you to go adventuring? Do you know how dangerous that is? What if something happens to you?"

Mom nodded and looked at me.

Both their gazes were directly fixed on me.

Sweat poured down my face.

"Ah... about that, there’s time for it, so I planned to ask slowly."

I smiled wryly.

The Empress observed the situation and clearly enjoyed the show.

Mom’s eyes narrowed.

"Oh, really, son? Don’t tell me you planned to tell me about this the day before you went adventuring."

I avoided her gaze and muttered,

"Ah... something like that."

Mom’s eyes twitched slightly.

I looked at her innocently.

"Yes, Mom. But I’m sure you can just arrange someone to protect me, right?"

She simply stared at me and sighed.

"Yeah, I’m going too."

Luna nodded with the same energy as me.

"Yes, Mom. Isn’t it amazing to go adventuring?"

Elena didn’t say anything. She had expected this.

She simply looked at the situation, already knowing the result, and thought to herself,

Mom is too doting on Luna. She’s not going to refuse her earnest request. She’ll just show a little resistance and finally agree.

Then we kept arguing about how we were fine and how we could handle ourselves, while Mom and the Empress brought up all kinds of dangers.

But we assured them that we could fully handle them.

Finally, the Empress said,

"Okay, okay. We can talk about this later."

Then she looked at Luna.

"So, daughter, you really want to go there, right?"

Luna hesitated for a moment before nodding with determination.

"Yes, Mom."

The Empress nodded.

"Okay. I’ll make preparations for it."

Luna nodded and thanked her.

Elena thanked her as well.

Then we finished breakfast.

I went with Mom and Amy, while Luna and Elena went with the Empress.

I looked at Mom and asked,

"Mom, what kind of things are involved in the succession of the family?"

Mom looked at me.

"Are you curious, Gray?"

I nodded.

Then she said,

"But you said you weren’t interested in becoming the family head. Did you change your mind, son?"

Even Amy came toward me, her eyes shining.

"Really? You really changed your mind? That’s great!"

My brain froze.

What is this?

I immediately waved my hands.

"Oh, no. I don’t need that. Even if you give it to me for free, I don’t want it. It’s too much responsibility."

"I just want to know if there’s anything fun involved."

Mom and Amy simply sighed.

Then we moved to a room for a conversation.

Mom asked,

"So, you really want to go adventuring after your sister goes to the academy?"

I nodded.

"Yes, Mom. I want to explore the world more and experience more things. After all, power isn’t everything to me."

She nodded. She already knew that I wasn’t a power-driven person.

Then the conversation moved to Amy.

Mom asked whether she was really ready to become the successor of the family and explained all the responsibilities that came with it, as well as the advantages.

Amy listened seriously. She took those responsibilities very seriously and wasn’t going to slack off.

She respected Mom, just like I did, so we always took these kinds of conversations seriously and listened to her.

Unlike normally, when Mom would sometimes joke around with us, this time no one joked around.

I gained a vague understanding as well.

Mom didn’t tell us exactly what was involved in the succession.

She wanted Amy to figure things out herself. If she wanted, Mom could give Amy a massive advantage, but in the end, strength would determine the winner.

Then we left the room.

Before that, Mom told us,

"We’re going home in a few hours, so get ready."

I nodded.

Then I waved goodbye to Amy and left for my room.

I gathered all the little things I had and put them into my Space Storage.

It was massive now. I could even store my entire room in it without a problem.

Then I went to search for Luna.

I found her with the Empress.

The Empress saw me and called me to her side, so I went over.

She asked,

"Did you come to find Luna?"

I nodded.

"I just thought it would be good to say goodbye to Elara before leaving, so I came to ask Luna if she wanted to come as well and greet her goodbye."

The Empress nodded.

"Hmm. Elara? That girl from your team, right? The girl from the Oceancres family?"

I nodded.

Luna nodded as well.

Then the Empress told Luna to give us some space.

Luna looked at us reluctantly, but she ultimately went out and waited.

Then the Empress looked at me.

I felt awkward as hell.

But I looked at her as well.

She smiled and said,

"Don’t be nervous. I just have a few questions to ask. We didn’t have time to talk properly."

She said that, but a cold sweat poured down my back.

There was one title I cared about.

She just smiled at that ask. "So for start tell me about yourself we didn’t have time to talk like this all moment got interrupted by some matter.
