Chapter 315: The Ghost Truck Is Still Here
He was still a moment ago, but once he moved, his Spiritual Power flared to life like a bolt of lightning.
His countless escapes from the Ancient Castle had already honed his natural Spatial Sense and reflexes. Now, with the massive boost to his Spiritual Activity, his speed and reactions had reached an unbelievable level.
Countless shadowy Blood Servants appeared before him. Some charged head-on, while others reached up with hands bursting from the ground.
But Han Su’s forward trajectory barely changed. With a slight lift of his foot and a turn of his body, he shot straight through them in a direct line. Countless sharp claws crisscrossed, grasping for him, yet failed to even touch the hem of his clothes.
Not far away, the scattered members of the Queen Bee Squad noticed someone charging into the horde of Blood Servants and cutting through them at high speed.
The astonishing commotion made them marvel. ‘How many stimulants did the captain pump into him?’
With a great clamor…
Han Su’s movement was like a bullet fired into a pitch-black lake.
The water splashed, and ripples spread.
Countless Blood Servants lunged for him, only to grasp at empty air. Instead, they crashed into each other, piling into a chaotic heap.
Meanwhile, Han Su, his movements uncanny, rapidly approached the black house. The incessant chewing sound he’d been hearing ever since entering the village suddenly grew much clearer.
“Heh…”
Just as Han Su was rapidly approaching, on the other side of the black house, a figure stood under a tree on the hillside, holding an umbrella amidst the roiling black fog. He had deathly pale skin and Crimson eyes.
He narrowed his eyes, as if sensing the chaos among the Blood Servants, and couldn’t help but let out a low, cold sneer. ‘Looks like Giant Horn City must have paid a hefty price. Otherwise, I doubt they could have hired an expert like this…’
‘However, since I promised Uncle I’d bring this Black Goat back to him, that’s what I’ll do.’
‘I’ve already obtained two of the three letters of recommendation from the nobles. Once I get this last one, I can intern with the Circulating Knight Order.’
‘How could I possibly miss an opportunity like this?’
…
As a noble Viscount, it was frankly a bit humiliating for him to come to such a backwater place to fight Mercenaries. But since he was here, failure was not an option. Sensing someone rapidly approaching the black house, he immediately lifted his hand.
His movements were graceful, as if conducting an orchestra.
In that same instant, all the Blood Servants around the black house swarmed in frantically.
Layer upon layer, they looked just like a wall of flesh.
To get close was to fall into an ocean of Blood Servants, surrounded on all sides by these bizarre, red-eyed, fanged creatures that clawed and bit. No matter what special abilities the intruder possessed, they would only end up being torn to pieces by this tide of Blood Servants.
But he hadn’t expected that in the instant Han Su approached, Han Su had already seen the hidden Blood Servants and various traps through the Glasses he wore. He had even used the connection between the Viscount and his Blood Servants to see the Viscount himself.
Han Su was already prepared. Facing the sudden onslaught of Blood Servants, his mind focused, and he raised his left hand.
In that instant, the Cross Copper Scar appeared on the back of his hand.
Immediately after, a dense, bewildering fog descended upon the mountain village in an instant. The village, already shrouded in black fog, was now filled with another layer of thick mist.
WHOOSH!
Blinding headlights suddenly appeared from behind the fog, their fierce roar tinged with a hint of surprise.
It was the Ghost Truck, forcibly summoned.
‘It wasn’t as if it were a child emerging from the Ancient Castle, but it still had absolutely no idea where it was, let alone how it had been summoned here. It just had a strange feeling, as if some supreme will was watching it.’
‘It subconsciously wanted to yield to this will; it even started wagging its truck bed involuntarily… ‘
“HONK—”
It didn’t have time to figure out what any of this meant. Facing the surging tide of Blood Servants rolling toward it, it suddenly accelerated and crashed straight into them. Its massive wheels crunched over countless bones, and it did so gleefully.
…
‘The Ghost Truck. So useful!’
Seeing this ferocious mechanical monster appear along with the bizarre fog, Han Su felt another wave of relief.
‘Theoretically, on this life’s path, I never even went to Qinggang after the Ancient Castle, so naturally, I never tamed the Ghost Truck. In theory, I shouldn’t be able to summon it.’
‘But it seemed the time-and-space-transcending properties of the Fishing Song had allowed the Cross Copper Scar on the back of my hand to record the Ghost Truck’s coordinates. With a single thought, I was still able to summon this monster.’
‘The differences were obvious, though. First, it wasn’t fawning over me like it did in my previous life.’
‘Second, the Ghost Truck right now was clearly worn-out and bizarre. It completely lacked the brand-new feeling it had after I used my blood to repair its core when I first tamed it, and its size hadn’t increased either.’
‘But it’s just about enough to get the job done.’
