Chapter 2282: The Shattering of the Gravastar

  • Next Chapter

Vorvadoss, the Lord of Space, had won the clash.

The Gravastar cracked, and its shell collapsed in a fraction of a second under its own weight.

Death Herself was extremely powerful, but her authority couldn’t extend to the alien abomination. Even going all out, she fell short against this horror that was immune to her Death portfolio. Their clash was like that of a Fire Dragon trying to fight a fire elemental that is immune to flames. Death’s strongest weapon was useless, and that had sealed the result of the fight.

Luminous was powerful, and far more effective in combat than even Death Herself, as both her physical and magical powers could be used to their full extent. But... as powerful as light is, it can never escape the bending fabric of space. But what sealed the fight was Vorvadoss’s own battle experience, as he had faced many light dragons in the past and had already developed tactics to deal with them.

Linda had tried her best to help Luminous by manipulating space and shadows, but her body and mind had reached their limit long ago. Her time manipulation was powerful, but in a tug-of-war against Vorvadoss’s space manipulation, she was far outclassed in both sheer output and skill. But what doomed her was the energy she spared to support Azrael and link her to the shadow realm.

Then there was the army of Murder that Eris summoned to help in the fight, and surprisingly, they bought quite a bit of time. Without them, the fight would’ve been over a lot earlier. Of course, they got massacred the moment Death and Luminous fell, and Vorvadoss didn’t waste a single second and cleaved Eris in half with his head tail.

But it wasn’t Eris’s fall that caused the Gravastar to collapse. It was something scarier, something bigger, stronger, and far more destructive.

Before Eris could even realize that she had been cut in half, her body was already getting absorbed into her own blood alongside Sena, who was merged with her, and from that blood, a titanic maw tens of times bigger than Vorvadoss was already coming out in pure maddening rage.

The titanic maw flashed with light, and in the next second, Vorvadoss’s smug face was drowned in pure nuclear light. The beam illuminated the entire Gravastar’s interior like a light bulb, and in less than a second, Vorvadoss was pinned to the Gravastar’s crust by the beam.

Eris had disappeared, and the Gravastar didn’t even have the chance to shatter on its own, yet... Before the beam could even explode, Arad headbutted Vorvadoss through his own beam and burst out of the shell, roaring.

Everyone looked at the Gravastar in pure horror as Arad’s draconic head burst out, roaring with such force that even the archons dropped to their knees in pain as they covered their ears.

It was then that the beam he fired burst and exploded, shattering the entire Gravastar from the inside out in a blinding flash.

The angels flew away, the void dragons stared in horror, and the gods paled as Arad’s titanic draconic body disappeared as quickly as it appeared. Before anyone could even orient themselves, a large section of the universe’s crust was evaporated in a massive blast.

Arad was already fighting Vorvadoss there in his humanoid form. While everyone panicked, only Yog and Amaterasu noticed something strange. Luminous, Death herself, and everyone else who was inside the Gravastar had been safely teleported into the mortal world, and even though the Gravastar exploded, only the abominations were hurt by it.

She was surprised that even her angels, who were flying around the Gravastar guarding it, were teleported out of the way just a fraction of a second before it exploded, meaning that Arad, as angry as he looked, was still horrifyingly calm.

Vorvadoss floated upside down as he flew over the incinerated land, his eyeless face still grinning as he looked back at Arad flying at him. Last time, Arad had violated and bullied him when he was powerless, when he was weak, when he was feeble. Now, he could fight for real; he could get his revenge.

Arad flew toward Vorvadoss and swung his fist, only for the Abominable horror to block it. But that wasn’t enough, as Vorvadoss’s whole arm evaporated in the blink of an eye before his body was torn to pieces. Arad wasn’t playing around. Upon contact, he immediately tore Vorvadoss’s body into pieces by teleporting chunks of him.

But in the next Instant, Vorvadoss teleported all the chunks of his body back together and healed with a chuckle. He is the Lord of Space; it doesn’t matter if his body is severed and separated; he can just will them back to their original place.

The two stood there for a fraction of a second, glaring at each other. Vorvadoss’s tongue flailed out like that of a snake, and its body started to be consumed by its verdant flames.

Right now, Vorvadoss was both blind and deaf in terms understandable to the people of the universe. He lacked those two sensory options, but he had one that surpassed them. Vorvadoss didn’t need to hear and see at his peak because he could directly sense the fabric of space around him. He didn’t need to see when he could literally feel every single hair on his enemy’s body moving, know their exact dimensions, and the volume of space their body took.

He also didn’t need to hear anything because that same spatial sense allows him to understand the waves in air or space and comprehend them that way instead of needing ears.

And just like the void dragons, it communicated telepathically. Vorvadoss didn’t care about using words or concepts that matter to mortals; he mental communication with Arad consisted of a set of very basic emotions, desires, and goals.

Vorvadoss is here to make Arad stop existing.

Vorvadoss is here for revenge.

Only one of them will walk out of this fight alive.

Immediately, Arad punched Vorvadoss in the face, crushing his skull inward as their clash started.

Without even healing, Vorvadoss’s tail swung from behind him and aimed directly at Arad’s chest, only for Arad to teleport out of the way at the last moment and hit Vorvadoss with a solid kick to the face, sending him flying away from the army of the gods.

From afar, the angels watched, horrified. But the void dragons were even more mortified. That was clearly just an adult Void Dragon like them, but that power felt unlike anything they possessed. It was overwhelming, oppressive, dark, and what scared them the most was that it reminded them of their empress.

"Wait!" One of them gasped. "Is that the Prince?"

Since Violet is the Empress of the Void Dragons, that technically makes Arad and Gojo the princes of their race. Merlin, who was close to the void dragon that cried, almost laughed. Not because the dragons didn’t notice Gojo’s presence yet, but because that makes Alcott the Emperor of the Void Dragons.

Azrael, who was there fighting an Avatar, looked toward Arad and giggled. "AH! He is back." Her eyes quickly shifted back to the Avatar. "Your end is near, Nyar!"
