Chapter 586 - Are you afraid? good.
Chapter 586 – Are you afraid? good.
After leaving Valemont, Qingyi visited every corner of the Immortal Realm.
He killed a few more creatures with green skins with Lucios and spent a fortune on lust points, buying gifts he had to force down Tai’Ren and Jin Hao’s throats.
Neither of them wanted to accept them, but Qingyi made them take it, threatening to give everything away to the peasants.
In the end, although those items were incomparable treasures to them, to Qingyi they were worth little.
With Auranys, buying all that wasn’t even enough to make his lust point reserve begin to dip.
“Today… is the final day…” Qingyi whispered in a pained voice.
It was all done.
He had spent as much time as he could with those he considered dear to him in the immortal heavens, and now, it was time to move on.
He would have many enemies there and needed to find a way to hide his lineage, but he already had plans for that.
For now, he needed to overcome the celestial tribulation.
With a soft sigh, Qingyi teleported, appearing on the highest peak of the entire eastern continent, in an isolated region of the far north.
“You know why I’m here…” Qingyi whispered, looking up.
It was a clear day.
The skies were clear, dotted only by a few pure white clouds.
But the moment his voice fell, everything changed.
The blue vanished, and the white clouds began to multiply, turning a deep, thunderous black.
Qingyi sighed at the sight.
There were various types of celestial tribulations, whether of extermination or merely a challenge.
But there were only nine that could be called true celestial tribulations.
Qingyi had faced three of them upon ascending to the immortal heavens, and now, to ascend to the celestial heavens, he would need to face three more.
He knew the heavens would not go easy on him, quite the opposite.
The heavens would try to exterminate him at any cost.
But Qingyi was not afraid.
Let them come with double the power, he would crush them.
“We are enemies,” Qingyi said, drawing the Heaven-Defying Thunder Sword. “You know who I am, and you know you must exterminate me.”
“You will fail.”
The moment his voice fell, a thunderous pulse spread across the heavens.
It was like a reverse shockwave, surging from the farthest corners of that sea of black clouds and converging toward the center, thousands of lightning bolts at once.
It was a terrifying sight, and across the immortal heavens, eyes filled with terror turned toward the skies.
Those who knew what was happening had anxiety etched on their faces; those who didn’t, braced themselves for the end of the world.
“COME!” Qingyi roared, ignoring the chill running down his spine and the terrifying aura gathering around him.
It was like the attack of dozens of Heavenly Demons united into a single one, falling upon him as divine punishment.
Qingyi took a deep breath and then leaped into the heavens,
executing the Heaven-Shattering Divine Slash.
His sword tore through the very fabric of space around him, the
sharp blade meeting the silver lightning.
It was as if the world were about to end, Qingyi’s lightning and that of
the heavens colliding with terrifying power.
Beneath them, the peak had turned to dust, every drop of water evaporating and every living being instantly incinerated within an area spanning dozens of kilometers.
“Give way!” Qingyi roared and finally completed the attack, the thunder sword that defies the heavens splitting the first heavenly lightning bolt in two.
“Two more…” Qingyi gritted his teeth, feeling his meridians burn.
“Are you afraid?” he asked, his lips curving into a smile full of
contempt. “Good…”
The moment his voice fell, the second heavenly lightning began to form, with even more power than the first, the black clouds
trembling.
Qingyi covered himself with the black dragon’s scales, and his eyes grew cold.
Behind him, a roar echoed, a black dragon bellowing toward the heavens with defiance and rage.
Qingyi took a single moment to prepare himself before charging forward once more, facing the second thunderclap of the tribulation. The impact was terrifying, tremors spreading across the entire world. From the enlightened imperial capital under reconstruction all the way to Valemont.
Terrifying tremors overwhelmed everything, and chaos spread.
Qingyi let out a bestial roar, feeling the meridians in his fingers on the
Heaven-Defying Thunder Sword being torn apart, strands of celestial thunder slicing through his body.
Right behind the second thunderclap, which had not yet fully descended, a third began to form, gathering every drop of power the
heavens could concentrate there.
“So you’re not messing around, huh? Hahahaha.” Qingyi roared with laughter, revealing bloody teeth as he summoned the most powerful force within himself.
The flames of primordial chaos.
The flames that were, according to an ancient prophecy, destined to one day burn the heavens themselves.
The heat around Qingyi suddenly surged, everything surrounding
him beginning to melt immediately, from forests hundreds of kilometers away to what remained of the mountain below him.
Nothing escaped the flames of primordial chaos.
The third heavenly lightning bolt joined the second, pressing against the sea of gray flames surrounding Qingyi with terrifying force.
For a moment, there was silence.
Qingyi unleashed absolutely everything, Qi and Mana, all his elements, and even his draconic Qi.
He groaned in pain as the black scales were forcibly torn from his
body by the thunderbolts piercing him, tearing deep gashes in his
flesh.
The heavens tried with every ounce of strength they could muster in the immortal heavens to defeat Qingyi right there, eliminating that
danger once and for all.
But it was not enough.
The flames of primordial chaos swallowed the celestial lightning and
rose toward the heavens, consuming everything in their path.
An explosion echoed and the heavens tore apart, as if a portal to
another universe were opening.
“Ah… finally…” Qingyi sighed, relaxing.
[What are you waiting for? Go on and start healing yourself as soon as
possible!] Ruxue’s voice echoed in his mind, clearly trembling with
concern.
“I’m going, love.” Qingyi took a slight step forward, and then his body
vanished.
