Chapter 243 Extremely Evil Mark

However, Conquest never tired of it, initiating challenges time and time again.

Every time the fight ended, Lucas would pull out a few bottles of high-concentration hard liquor and drink heartily with this aloof veteran under the starry sky.

He did not like the taste of alcohol, so every time he drank it, he would change the flavor to that of cola.

The result was that the veteran drank until he was shaking all over, while Lucas was completely fine.

After a certain battle, Lucas casually gave Conquest a small yellow dog.

"What is this? Some kind of powerful Earth creature?"

Conquest wore a pensive look; the puppy was utterly adorable and didn’t look like some fierce beast no matter how one looked at it, could it be a creature similar to a Ragna?

"Just a gift, Conquest; Earthlings like raising dogs, it can cultivate one’s character (though in reality, it doesn’t)," Lucas said.

"A gift?"

Conquest frowned deeply; this was the first gift he had received since his birth.

The puppy happily circled around his feet, and Conquest asked in a muffled voice, "So... this is a weak creature? This utterly sycophantic look is simply disgusting! I don’t want such a spineless thing!"

Lucas was speechless.

"This creature is called a dog! Ten thousand years ago, humans tamed an unyielding fierce beast, took it across battles in the south and north, and defeated other predators one by one. This creature symbolizes loyalty. I am giving it to you hoping that you will adhere to loyalty—not to me, but to the empire and the people!"

Having said that, Lucas calmly flew into the sky.

Conquest awkwardly picked up the puppy, fearing he might crush it to death, yet the puppy wasn’t afraid of him at all, sticking out its tongue to lick his rough beard, leaving the veteran at a complete loss.

"You haven’t told me yet what I should feed it."

Conquest shouted out.

But Lucas did not respond.

To raise the dog, Conquest took a suitcase of cash and went to the street.

"You... come over here! Tell me what this creature feeds on!"

Conquest demanded unceremoniously of a passerby.

That person looked him up and down, glanced at the dog in his arms, and cursed under his breath.

"Of course it eats dog food, or are you going to feed it shit? Psycho!"

Though cursed at, Conquest didn’t bicker with the other party.

The offense of an ant was not worth mentioning to him.

But upon learning that the dog’s food was dog food, Conquest continued to find another passerby, demanding unceremoniously, "You... Earth woman! Tell me, where can I buy dog food?"

"Of course at a pet store! Mister, which psychiatric hospital did you escape from?"

"These damned Earthlings!"

Conquest finally stumbled upon a pet store and slammed a stack of hundred-dollar bills onto the table; the clerk was dumbfounded, thinking the other party was a gangster.

Who brings stacks of hundred-dollar bills when going out normally, and in stacks at that!

Gang transactions all use twenty-dollar bills!

"Mister, your change?" the clerk called out to Conquest.

Conquest turned back and said earnestly, "Someone told me that buying things on Earth requires tipping; the remaining money is your tip. In addition, I am neither a psycho nor did I escape from some psychiatric hospital; I am an honorable warrior!"

"Uh! Th—Then thank you for your service?"

The clerk looked dumbfounded at the handful of greenbacks; these bills added up to at least several thousand dollars.

This month’s utilities and rent were covered!

On the street, Conquest encountered a wandering orphan again.

"Mister, is this a puppy you raised? It looks very cute!"

That child kept following behind Conquest.

"Cute?"

What was so cute about this? Wasn’t it just a sycophantic creature? The people of this Planet really were strange, paying special attention to such fawning things.

Conquest didn’t say anything.

But like spilling jelly beans, the child kept talking to himself, following Conquest all the way back home.

"Mister, dog food needs to be soaked and softened before feeding. Oh right, can you give me some to demonstrate?"

Conquest tossed a bag of dog food out, and the little boy almost staggered from being hit.

He opened the bag, grabbed some for the puppy, and then grabbed a handful himself and popped it into his mouth.

"Mmm, it tastes a bit weird!"

Conquest raised his brows slightly, not thinking there was any problem.

The little boy chattered on about his life story, and his mental state also seemed a bit abnormal.

"My parents died in a car accident. Those relatives of mine seized my family’s property and then sent me to an orphanage. The Dean is a good man, but his hired hands are not, often selling some children to other people."

"So I ran out, and I haven’t eaten for a few days!"

Parents dead?

"What a dishonorable way to die!" Conquest thought to himself.

"My parents are dead too."

"Oh? How did your parents die?" the little boy Karl asked curiously.

"Of course they died in an honorable battle. The moniker of Conquest started ringing out from then!" Conquest said proudly.

Psycho!

Karl rolled his eyes. This big man’s mental issues were even more worrisome than his own.

For some reason.

The ferocious Conquest completely turned a blind eye to Karl’s unauthorized act of staying; he thought that taking in a servant to help him take care of the small yellow dog would allow him to prepare for battle with all his might, without having his mind disturbed by Lucas’s gift.

Peaceful days passed like this day by day, and Mark indeed got together with Eve and became a couple.

However, peace was fleeting after all.

One day, Marks from countless parallel Universes were suddenly released; these guys in battle suits rampaged on Earth, engaging in frantic destruction.

Some of them sported Mohawks, some wore Viltrum battle robes, others had mustaches making the space under their noses look itchy, and even worse, some were dressed like non-mainstream punks, looking exceptionally bluffing.

Evil Mark!

"Oh? Interesting. Me in this Universe and Nolan are actually father and son? Haven’t you shown your cards yet? Regarding the truth of the Viltrum Empire!"

A Mark stood before the father and son with an unyielding gaze, looking at Nolan as if looking at a dead man.

"Of course we know."

Mark spread his hands and said, "The Emperor united the entire Universe. The Viltrum Empire is the interstellar Police maintaining cosmic order. The younger generation of our clan will inevitably uphold fairness and justice for the interstellar people in the future!"

"Huh?"

"That’s right. My strength is still not enough; sooner or later, I will fly to the City of a Thousand Stars and complete the trial assigned to me by the Empire!"

"What are you talking about!"

That Mark was a bit deranged. What did interstellar Police maintaining universal peace even mean?

"Nolan, is this how you lied to your son? The Viltrum Empire actually packaged into cosmic Police—simply disgusting!" that Mark said coldly.

"Uh! Father?"

Mark cast an inquiring gaze at Nolan, and Nolan was also somewhat baffled.

"You... since you come from other Universes, is the Empire still under the old system?" Nolan asked.

"There are no more Viltrumites; I am the last Viltrumite, and I killed you with my own hands! Great Nolan! My... father!"

With a sudden dash, Mark tried to grab Nolan.

As a result, Nolan backhanded a slap, directly sending this Mark flying, knocking out half of his teeth.

"Child, you shouldn’t speak to your father like that!"

Nolan stood with his hands behind his back.

Regardless, himself from the other Universe was a bit too weak in strength.

To be killed by such a petty punk, disgraceful!
