The Bigshot Married Himself to the Heiress
Chapter 1275 - 1215: Back on the Path of Searching
It’s not a day off today, and Curly went to school early.
The little girl really didn’t lie to him; she really made him a sandwich and prepared some milk.
The servant had warmed up the sandwich for him. As Orientans like to drink warm milk, Adrian still preferred it cold, so he didn’t let the servant heat it.
The sandwich was beautifully made. Since they both liked meat, besides ham, it also had pork floss. A sliced strawberry was placed on top of the sandwich.
Adrian took a bite, slowly savoring the thoughtfulness of his daughter. It was delicious... and his heart was full of emotion.
"The little girl really has turned into a ’big woman’... she knows how to care for others now."
Adrian put down the bitten sandwich, took a photo with his phone, and posted it in his Story.
Under the picture, he wrote: "Daughter’s loving breakfast, thank you my ’big woman’.
It seemed everyone was quite free early in the morning because comments started pouring in as soon as Adrian posted it.
Owen commented: "My daughter-in-law is indeed the most virtuous."
Ward commented: "Upstairs, could you be more shameless? What’s this about your daughter-in-law? Clearly, she’s my daughter-in-law!"
Trevor commented: "The two people above have no shame."
Ward retorted: "Stay out of it if you don’t have a son!"
Someone commented: "What a beautiful breakfast, that presentation! Is this a breakfast or an art appreciation class?"
Receiving a bunch of envy, jealousy, and hatred, Adrian contentedly turned off his phone and continued to quietly enjoy his breakfast.
Curly had prepared three sandwiches for Adrian, along with a platter of fruit and milk. Adrian ate them all.
...
After breakfast, Adrian went to see the three children first. Sheehan loved insects and went to the garden every day to observe various little bugs. Sometimes, he could watch the ants on the ground for a long time.
The twins were teething and put everything in their mouths, drooling all over the place, which made Adrian quite disgusted with his little son.
"Your brother wasn’t this gross when he was your age."
Adrian wiped his saliva, and Hugo hugged his father’s finger and stuffed it into his mouth. Adrian let him bite, the little guy only had two tiny teeth that couldn’t hurt.
Kiki came over to see the twins and was taken aback when she saw Adrian there. She respectfully greeted, "Sixth Master."
"Where’s Dominic?"
"He went to the garden to play with Sheehan."
Sheehan and Dominic were about the same age. Sheehan was a bit domineering, but fortunately, Dominic was gentle-natured, so the two got along well.
"You’ve been working hard lately."
"Not hard at all," Kiki hastily said.
Kiki made some baby food for the twins, ham and shrimp porridge. She tied bibs on them and fed them. The twins were very familiar with and relied on Kiki.
"Today’s dish is ham and shrimp porridge with delicious shrimp pieces inside. Try it to see if it’s good?"
The shrimp was cut into tiny pieces, so there was no worry they couldn’t chew it.
Adrian found it very amusing to watch them open their mouths like little chicks to drink porridge.
He said, "Let me feed them."
"Okay."
Kiki knew that parents feeding the babies themselves was a happy thing, so she handed the bowl to Adrian.
Claire was very good, but Hugo wouldn’t cooperate, turning his head to the side, surprisingly refusing to eat.
"What’s going on now?"
Kiki was a bit embarrassed and softly explained, "Hugo doesn’t like to be fed by men."
Adrian gave the bowl back to Kiki. When Kiki fed Hugo, Hugo actually ate, leaving Adrian dumbfounded.
"This little guy, already a ladies’ man at such a young age, he won’t turn out to be a good guy when he grows up..." Adrian thought of a term Sienna often used, "playboy!"
Kiki laughed and said indulgently, "He’s so young, what does he know." Kiki fed Hugo another bite, and Hugo smiled at Kiki, showing his tiny teeth.
After the twins ate the ham and shrimp porridge, Adrian played with them for a while longer, and then he went to the hospital.
...
At Matilda Hospital,
On his way to the hospital, Adrian bought a bouquet of carnations to give to Paige, congratulating her on becoming a mother.
By the time Adrian arrived, Paige was already awake, holding the little baby, with a gentle smile on her face.
"Sienna said that when a woman is in postnatal confinement, holding the baby will make her back ache later on. Let Kiya hold the baby to avoid postpartum issues," Adrian reminded Paige.
Paige smiled and said, "Brother, you know so much."
Adrian said, "I’m a father of four, naturally experienced."
Upon hearing this, Kiya took the baby, who was very well-behaved, not crying or fussing.
"Have you named the baby yet?"
Paige shook her head, glanced at Kiya, and teased, "Knowing Kiya’s speed with names, my daughter will probably be able to speak before she has a name."
Kiya couldn’t find a name that matched her daughter, so the name was "delayed in delivery."
"Brother, why don’t you give her a name?" Paige asked.
Kiya was displeased, "No way, how can an uncle name the child? The child’s name must be given by the father."
Adrian glared at him, "Why not?"
Kiya said, "I’ll definitely come up with the name by tomorrow."
Kiya had decided that their little princess’s name must be chosen by himself.
Adrian didn’t compete with Kiya for the naming task. He was currently restless and not in the mood to name the child.
"Seeing you and the baby healthy puts my mind at ease. I’m here to tell you that I’m going back to Abyanabad," Adrian came to bid Paige farewell.
His sudden return to Sileria City was to persuade Kiya to go back and help him deal with Night Owl. Now that Paige had given birth to a daughter, and Paige didn’t want to return to Abyanabad, Kiya certainly couldn’t go back.
Since Kiya is not going back, Adrian must return; he still has to continue searching for Sienna.
If he can’t find her in a month, then two months. If not in two months, then a year... even if it takes his entire life, he must find her.
Adrian couldn’t smile anymore. Adrian had a deep affection for Sienna, and without her, he wouldn’t be happy.
"Brother, they’ll definitely find her," Adrian said.
"Yes, of course!" Adrian said confidently.
"Brother, is there anything I can do to help?"
Adrian said, "After your confinement, help me take care of the four kids a little... Curly is older and more sensible, so that’s good. Sheehan, though small, won’t worry adults... My greatest concern now is the twins.
The twins can’t even recognize people now, and by the time their mom and I return, they might not recognize us."
This time when he came back, the twins were already somewhat unfamiliar with him, making Adrian feel uneasy, yet he knew he had to leave.
He couldn’t let Sienna’s whereabouts remain unknown.
"Brother, don’t worry, I will take good care of them."
"Thank you."
"We are siblings! You don’t have to thank me."
Thinking about how Adrian hadn’t been able to persuade Kiya to return because of her, Paige felt very guilty.
