Chapter 90: Chapter 90: Killing with a Borrowed Knife
"Hello, we are the Godslayer Guild."
Yu Zhun approached the two experts from the Divine Revelation Hall and asked politely, "Excuse me, is there still an opportunity to enter the Dungeon for a raid?"
The two experts exchanged a glance. When the blood-red pillar of light had shot into the sky, they had noticed the Godslayer Guild, looking like a flock of little lambs wandering into a pack of wolves.
Under normal circumstances, they definitely wouldn’t have let them enter the Dungeon. On one hand, there were safety concerns; on the other, there was no need for such a small guild to waste everyone’s time at a critical juncture. However, someone had already put in a good word for them in advance.
"Right now, Embers, a Five-star Guild from Divine Joy City, is currently running the raid," one of the experts said with a faint smile. "Get ready. Once they finish, it’ll be your turn."
"That fast?" Yu Zhun’s eyes lit up. He smiled, offered a few words of thanks, and led the other five back to their territory marked by the guild flag.
However, he didn’t notice that among the campsites teeming with major guilds, a pair of eyes was watching him intently.
Over at the Holy Law Celestial Horse campsite, Long Zhan scoffed with a dark expression. "A mere Two-star Guild dares to wade into these muddy waters? They’re overestimating themselves."
He was in a terrible mood. Of course, this actually had little to do with the Godslayer Guild. Ten days ago, he had personally led two of his ace raid teams and a highly-paid raiding genius to this place. Countless guilds were gathered here, but through his connections and social maneuvering, Long Zhan had managed to secure four raid opportunities over the past ten days.
However, despite those four attempts, they hadn’t even achieved a normal clear of the Red Moon Tide, let alone a perfect one. Worse still, several members of his ace raid teams had fallen inside the Dungeon, losing their Divine Revelation qualifications forever.
"Liu Yunze, you told me before that you could definitely achieve a perfect clear of a trivial Dungeon like the Red Moon Tide," Long Zhan said, staring coldly at the man before him. "There are less than two days left.
"If you fail to deliver, you should know the consequences.
"My money isn’t that easy to take."
Liu Yunze looked grim. The repeated blows of their past four raid failures had long since stripped away his previous arrogance.
"How was I supposed to know this Dungeon would be so difficult? Besides, we aren’t the only ones who can’t beat it!" Liu Yunze grunted defensively, pointing at the surrounding guilds. "Out of all these powerful guilds, who has actually succeeded?
"A perfect clear of the Red Moon Tide is absolutely impossible!"
Long Zhan fell silent for a moment, his gaze shifting back to the newly arrived Godslayer Guild. For some reason, he felt a persistent sense of unease.
"You!" Long Zhan ordered a raid member who was currently resting. "Go find out if the Godslayer Guild has the qualification to enter."
"Yes, Guild Leader." The member nodded and walked over to the two experts from the Divine Revelation Hall. He soon returned with a strange look on his face.
"The Godslayer Guild has the qualification. In fact, it seems they even cut the line.
"They’re up next, right after the Embers Guild."
Cut the line? At a time like this? Long Zhan’s expression shifted slightly, his eyes flickering with an uncertain light. To be able to jump the queue and enter the Dungeon right now meant that this Two-star Guild—which he hadn’t cared about before—clearly had an extraordinary background.
Before figuring out who was backing them, prudence dictated that the Holy Law Celestial Horse shouldn’t rashly target the Godslayer Guild. But... if they actually managed a perfect clear of the Red Moon Tide... Then the prestige of the Holy Law Celestial Horse in Divine Strategy City would crumble to dust in an instant.
For some inexplicable reason, even though all the major guilds had failed, Long Zhan had a nagging feeling that the Godslayer Guild might actually pull it off. Therefore, he had to do something. Using another’s knife to do the deed was the best approach.
"Go secretly leak this news to the other guilds. Don’t let the Godslayer Guild realize it was us."
Once the raid member accepted the order and left, Liu Yunze sneered. "To think the grand, Four-star Holy Law Celestial Horse Guild would secretly trip up a tiny Two-star Guild out of fear.
"Do you seriously think those few people can achieve a perfect clear?
"Relax, it’s impossible!"
"Just focus on your own job!" Long Zhan glared at Liu Yunze, his eyes carrying a hint of warning. "You don’t have many chances left."
Liu Yunze’s face darkened, and he turned to leave.

"I asked around. The Embers Guild is quite strong. They’ve successfully cleared the Red Moon Tide in their last three attempts, so they must have formulated a reliable raid strategy by now," Ji Xiaoyu said, quickly returning to the campsite to share her intel with the group. "They’ve already started attempting a perfect clear.
"In fact, they might already have a rough idea of how to achieve a perfect clear and are currently making their final push." At this point, Ji Xiaoyu looked slightly nervous. "We need to step up our game."
"Alright." Yu Zhun nodded slightly and gave Ji Xiaoyu a thumbs-up. "You’re amazing, rich lady. To think you actually know raiders from the Five-star Profession Guild, Arcane Roar."
"Ah, haha..." Ji Xiaoyu gave a dry laugh. "I just happen to have a relative in that guild, so I asked around while I was at it."
She could clearly feel Sheila shooting her a profound look after she said that.
"Speaking of which, Guild Leader..." Ji Xiaoyu’s expression grew a bit more serious. "On my way back, I heard quite a few guilds discussing us."
"Huh?" Yu Zhun paused in surprise and instinctively glanced around. With the rich lady’s warning, he could clearly feel the faint gazes directed at them from all sides.
However, Yu Zhun soon had no energy to care about that, as movement arose at the entrance to the Red Moon Tide Dungeon. Figures emerged one after another, emanating an aura of lethal intensity.
It was the Embers Guild’s raid team!
"Let’s go, let’s go check it out!" Yu Zhun waved his hand, signaling the other five to follow him.
The raid teams from the other guilds were also beginning to stir. The Embers Guild currently held one of the highest progression rates. Many raiders believed that with just a few more attempts, they might pull off a perfect clear. Because of this, their team drew a tremendous amount of attention.
By the time Yu Zhun reached the Dungeon entrance, the Embers’ raid team was already surrounded by other teams.
The captain leading the Embers team had a bright smile on his face, clearly in a fantastic mood as he answered everyone’s questions. "We didn’t get a perfect clear, but we made new progress."
The other guilds immediately offered their congratulations, whether feigned or sincere.
Yu Zhun breathed a slight sigh of relief. As long as they hadn’t gotten a perfect clear, it was fine.
"Let’s go, it’s our turn." Yu Zhun led the members of the Godslayer Guild, bypassing the crowd as they headed toward the Dungeon entrance.
Suddenly, an arm blocked their path.
"Hold it right there!"
