Chapter 466: Chapter 143: Mother and Son Join Forces! Invincible

A piercing sonic boom suddenly tore through the air.

Each tentacle possessed the terrifying power to rip space itself. If one of them landed a solid hit, even the Song of Elune would be in for a world of hurt.

A trace of solemnity finally appeared on the Moon Priestess’s cool, detached face.

With a light tap of her toes, her figure instantly transformed into a silver streak of light as she swiftly dodged away.

At the same time, she repeatedly swung the Moonlight Scepter in her hand, instantly forming one Moonlight Blade after another, which she sent slashing relentlessly at the tentacles.

"Moonlight: Sky-Sever!"

HISS HISS HISS!

As the moon blades and tentacles collided, a blinding light erupted.

This time, however, the Thousand-Tentacle Lord was clearly prepared. A thick layer of Abyssal Demonic Qi coated the surface of its tentacles. Though the moon blades still inflicted massive wounds, they could no longer sever the appendages as easily as before.

For a moment, black blood rained down from the sky, but the hideous tentacles only paused briefly before lashing out in a frenzy once more.

Simultaneously, the countless eyeballs on the Thousand-Tentacle Lord’s tentacles suddenly lit up. A dense barrage of black beams shot out from them, coordinating with the writhing appendages. In the blink of an eye, they formed an inescapable net that enveloped the Moon Priestess.

"Moon Goddess’s Protection!"

The Moon Priestess gave a soft cry, and the phantom of a silver full moon abruptly appeared behind her. Dazzling silver radiance surged from the phantom moon, instantly coalescing into a silver Energy Barrier that shielded her within.

From a distance, she looked as if she had transformed into a full moon herself, cool and sacred.

The black beams struck the lunar disc, immediately producing a corrosive SIZZLE. The Energy Barrier trembled violently, its light flickering erratically.

At the same time, dozens of tentacles lashed viciously against the lunar disc, creating a deafening roar.

BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!

Finally, the lunar disc shattered. The Moon Priestess shot backward, taking several steps in mid-air to stabilize herself. A few scorched marks had appeared on her moon-white priestly robes.

A cold glint flashed in her eyes as she abruptly pointed her scepter. "Moonfire Skill!"

The Moonstone at the head of her scepter suddenly flared to life, and a ball of silvery-white flame materialized from thin air. The flame appeared as cool as moonlight but in reality contained a terrifying heat that warped the very air in its path.

The moonfire transformed into a silver fire dragon and roared as it charged toward the Thousand-Tentacle Lord.

Not to be outdone, the Thousand-Tentacle Lord’s countless tentacles weaved and shifted, intertwining in the blink of an eye to form a massive black shield wall. Abyssal Demonic Qi spewed forth, meeting the silver fire dragon in a head-on collision.

BOOOOOOM!!!

Instantly, silvery-white and jet-black light clashed violently in the sky.

The moonfire seared the tentacles, creating a constant SIZZLING sound as black blood dripped endlessly.

Meanwhile, the Abyssal Demonic Qi constantly corroded the moonfire. The two forces wore each other down, and for a moment, they seemed to be perfectly matched.

The Moon Priestess weaved gracefully through the forest of tentacles, occasionally flicking her hand to send a volley of silver "Moonlight" projectiles, like arrows, toward the Thousand-Tentacle Lord. At other times, she would swing her scepter to unleash a "Moonlight: Sky-Sever!" and clash directly with the massive lashing tentacles.

The Thousand-Tentacle Lord, however, grew more frenzied the longer it fought, its tentacles regenerating faster and faster. Each appendage radiated a thick Abyssal Demonic Qi, clashing relentlessly with the Moon Priestess’s moonlight and moonfire.

The two combatants moved rapidly through the sky, leaving behind silver and black afterimages. The terrifying energy fluctuations caused the entire island to tremble. For a time, they were evenly matched, and it was impossible to tell who had the upper hand.

Seeing that she couldn’t take down her opponent, the Moon Priestess couldn’t help but frown. She suddenly glanced toward a certain spot in the sky and called out, "How long are you going to watch the show? Get over here and help!"

"Hehe~ I was just giving you a little more time to show off in front of the youngsters. Isn’t that nice of me?"

A lazy, enchanting voice echoed through the sky.

At that same moment, a pale figure appeared in the sky, treading on the moonlight.

She was a stunningly beautiful woman holding a parasol and dressed in a long court gown.

She wore a gorgeous formal hat, held a delicate lace folding fan, and her long, pale hair, as smooth as silk, cascaded loosely with slightly curled ends. She looked so exquisite it was as if she were on her way to a grand banquet.

Under the night sky, her wide skirt flowed like the darkness itself. The intricate runes embroidered upon it flickered in and out of sight with her every step, adding to her air of profound mystery.

But none of this was as eye-catching as her deep, scarlet-tinged eyes.

Framed by those bewitching eyes, the faint, enigmatic smile on her lips seemed all the more inscrutable, as if she could see through all life and death in the world.

She ambled over languidly, as if she were not on a battlefield, but taking a stroll in her own private garden.

This woman was, of course, Pale Elegy.

She chuckled softly and tapped her chin with her fan, her tone teasing. "After all, with so many youngsters watching, I had to let you show off your power a bit. It’s the perfect way to announce the return of a peak Legend, wouldn’t you say?~"

As she spoke, she casually flicked her folded fan, sending a blade of pale energy drifting toward the Thousand-Tentacle Lord.
