Chapter 461: Chapter 142: Two Mothers! Here Comes a Big One

Her figure flickered through the air as she unleashed a volley of Continuous Arrows from her longbow. Streams of emerald light poured down like a torrential storm, completely sealing off the space around Su Moyi.

With Shivana suppressing Su Moyi, the pressure on Gwen and Lianna eased considerably. They immediately directed the students in a fighting retreat, finally making it back inside the camp.

They left a trail of bodies in their wake.

Most were Naga and Tidal Fishmen.

But there were also a few students and assistant instructors among them.

One young assistant instructor had been impaled by a trident while covering the students’ retreat, his body frozen in the act of pushing them to safety.

Several students who reacted a moment too slowly were consumed by the Abyssal Demonic Qi, collapsing by the roadside with their bodies festering—a truly miserable way to die.

"Quickly! Use the fortifications to defend! Mages and archers to the watchtowers! Warriors, hold the front!"

Though blood trickled from the corner of his mouth, Master Gwen remained calm as he issued his commands.

The camp’s wooden walls and watchtowers, originally built for the students’ assessment, now served as their final line of defense. More and more students rushed out of their tents, grabbing their weapons to join the battle.

Fireballs and ice spikes from the Mages and arrows from the archers rained down on the surging enemy. For the moment, they managed to halt the Naga assault and gradually stabilize their defensive line.

However, the reprieve was short-lived.

"Su Moyi, you are utterly useless."

A bone-chillingly arrogant voice suddenly drifted in from the sea.

In the midst of the fierce battle, Shivana instinctively glanced toward the sound. There, on the bow of the *Storm*, a figure clad in heavy armor with a Blue Scarf covering his face was striding across the waves toward the shore.

The man was immensely burly, with two crossed Giant Swords slung over his back, each as tall as he was.

A ghastly white chill swirled around him. With every step, the seawater beneath his feet instantly froze solid. A winding path of ice formed in his wake as he walked, and in moments, he reached the shore.

It was none other than the Grand Commander of the Blue Scarf Rebel Army: Frost Throat Hosen, a Tier Seven Peak Frost Warrior!

"Can’t even handle a simple task."

Hosen snorted coldly and drew the twin swords from his back.

In that instant, a terrifying Frost Fighting Qi surged skyward. The ambient temperature plummeted, and fine ice crystals began to condense in the air.

"Frost Wolf Moon Devouring Slash!"

He slashed his twin swords in a crosswise motion. Two intersecting blasts of Frost Sword Qi tore through the air like roaring wolves, hurtling straight toward Shivana.

Shivana’s figure blurred as she moved to dodge.

Seeing this, a cruel smile spread across Su Moyi’s compound-eye-covered face.

She whipped her Magic Staff around, aiming it at the spot where Shivana was about to land. "Touch of the Abyss!" she chanted, the words spilling from her lips in a rapid incantation.

Instantly, several pitch-black tendrils, condensed from pure Abyssal Demonic Qi, erupted from the ground and shot toward Shivana’s ankles like venomous snakes.

The tendrils were highly corrosive and inflicted psychic corruption; once ensnared, not even a High Tier expert could endure them for long.

Furthermore, she had perfectly predicted where Shivana would land. If the Ranger continued with her dodge, she would fly right into the trap.

Shivana’s expression changed. Bracing herself, she abruptly halted her dodge and forcibly twisted her body in mid-air. She drew her longbow taut and fired an emerald arrow at the ground below.

The arrow exploded in a burst of nature’s light, instantly purifying the Abyssal Tendrils into plumes of black smoke.

But that brief delay was all it took. Hosen’s Frost Wolf Sword Qi was upon her.

PSHHCK—!

Though Shivana had adjusted her posture and dodged with all her might, one of the blasts of Sword Qi still grazed her left shoulder.

A terrifying Frost Power invaded her body, instantly numbing her entire left side. A thick layer of white frost spread across her emerald leather armor, and it felt as if her very blood was turning to ice.

She let out a stifled groan and was sent flying backward like a kite with a severed string.

But she was a powerful Tier Seven Peak Forest Ranger, after all. Despite her injury, she reacted in a flash. Twisting in mid-air to control her momentum, her body traced a graceful arc like an emerald meteor. She shot back into the camp and regrouped with Gwen and Lianna.

Seeing her return, Gwen waved his Magic Staff, and azure Wind Elements gathered in a frenzy.

"Wind Wall: Thousandfold Barrier!"

BOOM—!

An azure wall of wind over ten meters high erupted from the ground. A gale instantly began to howl, kicking up sand and stones, completely blocking the pursuing Frost Wolf Sword Qi and Abyssal Demonic Qi.

"Quick! Heal Shivana!"

Veins bulged on Gwen’s forehead; clearly, maintaining the wind wall was taking a massive toll on him.

Lianna wasted no time. Her Holy Light Scepter bloomed with a soft white glow as she gently touched it to Shivana’s shoulder. "Holy Light Healing."

Warm Holy Light flowed into Shivana’s body like a gentle stream, immediately beginning a fierce clash with the rampaging Frost Power within.

Visibly, the frost on Shivana’s shoulder rapidly melted. The flesh of the wound began to knit itself back together, and some color returned to her pale complexion.

"Thanks..." Shivana breathed out, her breath ragged, as she drew her longbow once more.

But the situation afforded them no time to catch their breath.

In the few moments it took for Shivana to clash with Su Moyi and Frost Throat Hosen, more and more Naga Warriors and Tidal Fishmen had swarmed in from all directions.
