Chapter 460: Chapter 142: Two Mothers! Here Comes a Big Job

But before Shivana could even breathe a sigh of relief,

"Kill!"

A series of sharp hisses and battle cries erupted as countless Naga Warriors and Tidal Fishmen leaped from the swift boats, charging toward the shore.

Wielding tridents and bone spikes, they swam with swift, agile movements that glinted under the moonlight.

Among them, one figure was particularly conspicuous.

It was a Naga Witch, clad in a black robe and holding a black Magic Staff. Her lower body was a serpentine tail, which she used to navigate the sea with effortless ease. With a single flick, she parted the waves and shot forward like a sharp arrow.

Her upper body resembled that of a human female, but her otherwise beautiful face was covered in compound eyes. This, combined with the Abyssal Demonic Qi swirling around her, created a deeply unsettling image.

She was none other than the one who dominated the East Sea and struck fear into the hearts of countless people—the Abyssal Priest, Su Moyi, a mighty Tier Seven expert.

Under Su Moyi’s command, the Naga and Tidal Fishman forces reached the coastline in just a few short moments.

At that moment, the various academies’ assistant teachers, the Elemental Mage Master Gwen, the Holy Light Priest Master Lianna, and some quick-thinking students who had remained behind had only just hastily formed a defensive line to desperately fend off the Naga Fishman assault.

"Holy Light Barrier!"

Lianna cried out, and the scepter in her hand immediately bloomed with a dazzling white light.

The next moment, a vast and sacred curtain of white light rapidly unfurled in front of the camp, knocking back the first wave of Fishmen who charged forward.

Master Gwen’s reaction was just as swift.

He formed hand seals, and a gale immediately began to howl, forming a thick wall of wind in front of him that blew all the tridents thrown by the Fishmen off course.

However, upon seeing this, Su Moyi merely gave a cold smile.

She raised her Magic Staff high and began to chant an ancient, obscure incantation. The sound seemed to emanate from the deepest trenches of the sea, carrying a strange rhythm that made one’s very soul tremble.

"Resonance of the Abyss and the Tides, heed my call..."

"Drowning Tide of the Black Abyss!"

As the final syllable of the incantation fell, she abruptly pointed her Magic Staff at the sea, and the surrounding waters instantly began to boil.

The seawater suddenly turned a deep black, as if it had been tainted by endless Abyssal Demonic Qi.

Immediately after, a massive black wave, tens of meters high, rose out of nowhere and crashed violently toward the shore.

Within the crest of the wave, countless twisted, vengeful spirits could be faintly seen, struggling and wailing. They were the souls of the dead that had been devoured by the Abyss.

Wherever the wave passed, the coastline was instantly corroded and pockmarked.

Even the immense curtain of Holy Light couldn’t withstand the impact of the black wave, letting out a series of sizzling sounds.

The barrier, formed from pure Holy Light, continuously dissolved and disintegrated under the corrosion of the Abyssal Demonic Qi, emitting puffs of foul-smelling black smoke.

As if struck by a heavy hammer, Lianna spat out a mouthful of blood. Her face instantly turned as pale as paper, and she staggered back several steps!

"Wind, come!"

Seeing this, Master Gwen’s eyes hardened. He swung his Magic Staff fiercely, and the cyan Wind Elements around him instantly began to converge on him in a frenzy.

His hair and beard stood on end, and his robes whipped about wildly. Under his control, a violent tornado materialized out of thin air and collided head-on with the black wave.

BOOM—!!!

Master Gwen grunted, blood trickling from the corner of his mouth, but he had managed to tear the black wave to shreds.

The massive wave collapsed, falling as a shower of black rain.

However, during that brief delay, the Naga Warriors and Tidal Fishmen had already ridden the tide and swarmed the shore.

"Kill them all!"

"Sacrifice them to the great Lord of a Thousand Tentacles!!"

The Deep Sea monsters let out a chorus of roars, their tridents and other weapons glinting coldly in the moonlight as they clashed in a chaotic melee with the hastily-assembled students and assistant teachers.

For a moment, the edge of the camp became a whirlwind of flying flesh and blood, a cacophony of screams and battle cries.

"All units, listen to my command! Execute an orderly retreat into the camp! Do not panic!"

Seeing the situation turning against them, Shivana Windrunner endured the searing pain of the psychic backlash and shot into the air like a verdant meteor.

The Magic Longbow in her hands, named "Nature’s Whisper," was once again drawn as full as the moon. With a tremor of the bowstring, three verdant arrows flew out in a line, forming a triangular pattern as they shot toward Su Moyi.

"Nature’s Arrow: Tri-Star!"

Her arrows were imbued with a dense, natural Magic Power. Wherever they flew, tiny vines and flowers even sprouted in the air.

The three Magic Arrows, carrying a ceaseless power of purification, aimed straight for the Naga Priest’s throat, heart, and the spot between her brows.

"Hmph."

Su Moyi sneered, her compound-eye-covered face showing not a trace of fear.

With a light sway of her serpentine tail, she shifted bizarrely several dozen feet to the side. At the same time, she waved her Magic Staff, and an Energy Barrier condensed from Abyssal Demonic Qi appeared before her.

BANG! BANG! BANG!

The Arrows of Nature slammed into the barrier and instantly exploded into a sky full of green light, purifying the Energy Barrier made of Abyssal Demonic Qi into dissipating clouds of black fog.

Although the three arrows failed to injure Su Moyi, they successfully tied her down, preventing her from casting another wide-area destructive Magic spell.

"Master Gwen, Master Lianna, take the students and fall back to the second defensive line! I’ll hold this monster off!" Shivana shouted.
