Jiang Li yawned. "Let’s take a nap. We can go to the mall later."

She had been cooped up at home studying lately and hadn’t gone out much. Even her maternity clothes had been picked out by Shen Yanzhi and their two mothers.

Besides, she was due in about two months. She had to get a hospital bag ready ahead of time.

Shen Yanzhi and the others had offered to prepare it, but Jiang Li had refused.

’This was her and Shen Yanzhi’s first child, after all. As the mother, she had to be involved.’

Shen Yanzhi nodded. "Okay."

They woke from their nap around 3 p.m. and headed straight for the Kaisa Shopping Center.

It was still very hot for September.

Thankfully, the mall had central air conditioning.

Jiang Li found a bubble tea shop and ordered a durian-flavored ice cream. She couldn’t help but complain to Shen Yanzhi, "I really haven’t been out in so long. I feel like I’m completely out of touch with the world."

Shen Yanzhi instinctively touched his own face. "Does that mean I’ve gotten uglier?"

Jiang Li couldn’t help but laugh, though her heart ached a little. "No."

’Most women worry about getting ugly during pregnancy and their husbands not finding them attractive anymore. But in her case, it was Shen Yanzhi who was afraid of getting ugly and her not liking him, so he insisted on working out every day.’
