Chapter 1322: The System Of Cannon Fodders’ True Might [Part 2]

“That kid knows his stuff,” William said, looking a little jealous of the giant robot the teenage boy was piloting. “Every man needs his own giant robot.”

So what if he was extremely powerful? He never had the chance to pilot a giant robot, unlike Thirteen.

Just now, he was ready to join the battle to protect his daughters. But after the robot came out, and he sensed that it had the strength of a Demigod, he deemed his intervention no longer necessary… at least for now.

The red-headed Half-Elf sensed four more Demigods within the Infernal Army. But just like him, they merely watched the battle for the time being.

William also sensed the presence of a being with a strength surpassing that of Demigods, paying close attention to what was happening in Artem through the red portal.

As soon as the being descended into the world, William would not hesitate to clash with it for its addition to the battle would grant him an excuse to intervene.

The Devourer’s body, riddled with countless holes, collapsed on the ground.

Its regeneration power was still helping its body recover. However, the healing speed had grown much slower than before.

This was proof that despite this overpowered ability, it still had its limits.

Thirteen left the Devourer alone and resumed his one-sided massacre of the Infernals within his strike range.

Castor and his allies couldn’t help but look at the giant robot both in fear and in awe, having realized something important.

If the Infernals hadn’t appeared, they would’ve been the receiving end of that mass destruction, and they wouldn’t stand even a slim chance.

’Looks like I have to thank these invaders for coming at the right time,’ Castor thought as he and his subordinates retreated to safety so they wouldn’t be hit by Thirteen’s overpowering barrage.

“Korath, it will be bad if this continues,” one of the Demigods talked to their Commander through telepathy. “Do not forget—Lord Kaerol is watching.”

After being reminded that their Warlord was indeed watching, Korath no longer planned to take things easy.

Their Assassin had already died as a result of underestimating the target’s strength.

He was even forced to self-destruct in an attempt to take the giant robot with him, not expecting Thirteen had been prepared to deal with that.

In the end, the bastard had been hurled to where his allies stood, taking them to the afterlife with him instead.

That explosion had killed many Infernals. Their side had started to be very wary of their enemy, who seemed to predict exactly where they would escape, hitting them with his powerful weapons that made them all cower in fear.

They were supposed to be the mighty Infernals. Conqueror of worlds. And yet, all it took was Thirteen’s Gandam Hell [EX] to make them stop their advance.

“Enough games,” Korath declared. “Malgrux. Zerathun, Vorakiel, Kharvoss, and Irradun, kill him!

The five Demigods moved in unison and encircled the giant robot that towered over them.

Most infernals were three to four meters tall, but their opponent were at least five times their size.

Still, they were fighting only against one Demigod, and there were five of them. In terms of power and numbers, they believed that they had the upper hand.

Right after one of them moved, Thirteen threw the two overheated guns away and reached out to his dimensional storage.

The Gandam then wielded an axe and a spiked shield that spun like a chainsaw.

Sparks flew as Thirteen’s axe clashed with the Demigod wielding a sword, and his shield perfectly deflected the mace that had tried to pummel him from behind.

His Helios Darts then clashed with the arrows that were aimed at him by a third Demigod.

The fourth Demigod unleashed a Fire Dragon in the Gandam’s direction, and the last one used giant roots to bind the robot’s foot, preventing it from escaping.

Thirteen didn’t hesitate to disengage the foot bound by the roots and flew upward, dodging the Fire Dragon by a hairsbreadth.

As soon as the threat was done, he reattached the Gandam’s body with its leg and used its axe to chop the vine that bound it.

This series of events only happened in less than a minute, and yet, those who watched Thirteen’s impeccable piloting couldn’t help but be awestruck by his boldness in the face of danger.

Even his enemies couldn’t help but praise his actions in the face of overwhelming odds.

“It will be an honor killing you,” the sword wielder, Malgrux, declared. “My name is Malgrux, state your name, warrior!”

“I am the Thirteenth son of Heaven,” Thirteen replied. “But you may call me Zion Leventis.”

“Such boldness!” Zerathun, the mace wielder laughed. “Too bad you were not born as an Infernal. You would have made a great warrior.”

Thirteen wanted to tell Zerathum that one of his previous Hosts was also an Infernal.

But since their society was filled with schemes, competition, and backstabbing, his Host died unjustly under the hands of his own blood brother.

“You just reminded me of a reason to kill you all today,” Thirteen nearly growled after remembering that very unpleasant memory.

“Stop talking to him!” the Bow Wielder, Vorakiel shouted. “Just kill him and be done with it!”

“Easy for you to say. You’re just sniping from afar,” Thirteen sneered. “If you’ve got guts, come here and fight me!”

Vorakiel ignored the teenage boy’s taunts and unleashed a volley of magical arrows that slithered across the air like snakes.

The Fifth Demigod, Irradun uses his fists as his weapons. At the same time Vorakiel unleashed his attack, he slammed his fists on the ground, creating a fissure that headed in the Gandam’s direction.

With uncanny dexterity and mobility, the Gandam’s body lifted off the ground, powered by its thruster.

Using that as a momentum, its body bent over to dodge the arrows, similar to what was done in the Matrix.

The moment the danger passed, the Gandam’s back thrusters roared to life, propelling Thirteen upward.

He then used the thrusters under his Gandam’s feet to charge toward the Bow Wielder, whom he decided to prioritize killing first.

Seeing his action, Vorakiel didn’t hesitate to fly away.

“Activate Nitro Boost,” Thirteen ordered.

< Nitro Boost Activated! >

The boosters on the Gandam’s feet burst out, instantly propelling the Gandam forward at a high speed.

Vorakiel’s expression turned pale when he realized that the Gandam was only dozens of meters away from him and that this distance would be covered in the span of a few seconds.

For a brief moment, the Demigod saw a fearsome sight above Zion—the silhouette of the Death God, its death scythe ready to strike.
