"True Spirit Body, the Body of a Thousand Swords."

Once he activated the True Spirit Body, numerous swords appeared all around him. Some were orbiting him, while the others were standing up straight, ready for their assignment.

There wasn’t any change in the body itself, but the swords felt like an extension of his own body.

Duke Lorelei’s opponent was a snake. This snake might not be the biggest demon around. With a height of three meters and a length of 20 meters, it wasn’t hard to find it among hundreds of thousands of demons.

The size itself was easily visible, but the snake could split its own energy into multiple parts, which became a camouflage.

Duke Lorelei had thought this snake was nothing but a superior demon. He would fight it, but it wasn’t his priority.

However, the moment he executed the plan, the snake had no choice but to gather its power back, revealing its true power.

"I have been waiting for you. Disperse your power as much as you want!" Duke Lorelei smirked as he waved down his hand. "Because I will destroy it."

The numerous swords were lowered, pointing at the demons. Just like Noel’s rune, the swords flew and crashed into the demons.

It was a move made by a spirit transcendence rank expert. The power contained within each sword surpassed that of the Rain of Light Rune.

As a result, a massacre surpassing that of multiple airships was capable of occurring.

Tens of thousands of demons died in a single hit. It was true that Duke Lorelei also used a tremendous amount of energy, but he had made sure he had enough energy to face the snake.

With the massacre, there was nothing left between him and the snake.

It looked like the snake was also having the same thought as it sprang toward him.

Duke Lorelei smirked.

"Do you know how long I have been waiting for this chance?" Duke Lorelei swung his blade.

The snake opened its mouth, but both of their energies ended up clashing first. Neither of them could advance.

The snake had gathered its poison and was ready to send it to Duke Lorelei, but the latter actually acted one step faster than the snake.

The swords that were orbiting around Duke Lorelei moved toward the snake as soon as they made contact.

"!!!" The snake abruptly pulled back as if noticing something wrong with the swords.

However, two of the swords actually landed a hit before the snake could escape.

Each stroke was powerful enough that it broke the snake’s scales and sliced it pretty deep.

The snake didn’t expect that the swords would be this powerful. It thought Duke Lorelei had used everything he had in that downswing, but it turned out to be a distraction.

Each of the swords contained the same amount of power.

Duke Lorelei couldn’t help but smile. He still remembered the things that his former peers used to say.

"It’s not fun fighting with you, Evan. You have always gone all out from the beginning."

"That’s right. Especially that True Spirit Body of yours. The moment you use it, you can drain up all your energy in five minutes if you want to, but you will probably exhaust yourself in ten minutes on average."

"I know, right? Your True Spirit Body uses too much energy. It’s not a bad thing because you can settle the fight quickly, but it’s not fun fighting you."

Duke Lorelei ended up leaving his peers behind, as no one could catch up to him anymore. Without him realizing it, he had already reached the top of grandmaster.

However, even for him, using the True Spirit Body was not easy. Because the technique used too much spiritual energy, he would have to settle everything quickly. After all, his absorption rate was low, meaning that his energy reserves were low.

"Shaaa!" The snake let out a cry as a deep cut almost split its entire mouth in two.

It was trying to escape as the other demons surrounded Duke Lorelei.

But Duke Lorelei simply waved down his hand as the countless swords that had been waiting rained upon them.

The swords crushed so many demons and heavily injured the snake.

"Shaaa!"

Duke Lorelei combined the orbiting sword to create one big sword and stabbed the snake with it so that the snake couldn’t run away anymore.

Knowing it would die if it didn’t fight back, the snake turned around and plunged at Duke Lorelei with everything it had.

"Hahahaha. This is it. You should have done this from the beginning!" Duke Lorelei was grinning. Even though he had matured after becoming an old man, his fire as a fighter had never disappeared. Now that there was no need to hide that nature, he released everything in one go.

Duke Lorelei raised his sword. It might not be as strong as the Divine Slash that he had once seen from Noel.

However, this was the technique that had come from all his experience and ability he had honed all this time.

"First Sword, Three-Cycle of Genesis."

The snake released the poison to corrode the power of the sword, but the sword actually overwhelmed the poison and split it into two as it continued toward the snake’s head and ultimately cut it down.

"Huu..." Duke Lorelei looked at the dying snake as the body fell down.

"I still have 10% energy left." That was right. The moment he used the True Spirit Body, his energy went from 80% to 10%. And the battle hadn’t even lasted for five minutes.

Yet, even with that amount of energy, Duke Lorelei couldn’t help but smile. "It’s still enough to kill at least fifty thousand demons."
