Chapter 1631: Confusion

"We’ve got urgent information from the west. The battle has reached its final phase. They’re now using all the demons that they currently bring to advance as hard as possible.

"The ancient demons will now start focusing on the experts on our side to crush our soldiers."

Elaine and Rose looked at each other after hearing the report. "Is this the time?"

"It’s indeed the time." Luke nodded with a serious expression. "In the beginning, the ancient demons were hiding, using their number advantage to exhaust our people. Now that the situation has changed, they are using everything they have to take us down.

"Most likely, the demons are able to communicate with each other in a much more convenient way than us. That’s why they can move much faster than us."

Rose frowned. "When the city was besieged for the first time, the demons had another controller like this. It was a plant type demon.

"Back then, it was assumed that this plant type demon was using it to learn the way we fight, but it hadn’t appeared for so long. It looked like they were used as a trump card by the demon king. Maybe for the worst-case scenario."

Elaine frowned. "So, this war is their worst-case scenario."

"Yes." Rose nodded.

Luke thought for a moment before saying, "Well, if they indeed have such a thing, it is good. It is something we can take advantage of. The fact that they’re able to communicate easily like this means they are able to relay that information quickly.

"In that case, all we need to do is show them that the advantage they have will end up confusing them as well."

Rose and Elaine were confused. They couldn’t comprehend Luke’s plan.

Luke simply raised one finger. "Listen. Suppose we are playing eight games of chess at the same time, and you are able to move your pieces simultaneously. What will you do if I suddenly make all different moves all of a sudden?"

"Ah!" Rose and Elaine finally figured out why Luke had been able to hide this whole time.

"Send messages to all fronts right now. I’m going to write to them personally, but the messages have to be delivered at the same time."

Rose and Elaine nodded.

As planned, the messages were delivered perfectly, using the furthest distance as the standard.

Duke Lorelei, who had regrouped with his army, suddenly received a message from his subordinate. "Sir. Please take a look at this. There is a letter with the seal of the Ardagan family."

"!!!" Duke Lorelei didn’t expect Noel would send a message. "Let me see."

When he read the message, he couldn’t help but furrow his eyebrows.

"What is this? This doesn’t look like his plan." Duke Lorelei was confused. He had observed and studied Noel’s strategies.

There was one distinct property in Noel’s plans. Noel loved hiding one dagger to deliver a killing blow. And that dagger would be thrust with sufficient strength.

However, this plan was filled with confusion. It was as if there was nothing special within it, but it was because of this empty shell that people would suspect that the plan was building up something.

’This one is filled with trickery. This kind of trickery reminds me of someone... Luke Ardagan... Maybe blood really doesn’t lie...’ Duke Lorelei didn’t understand, but there was one thing he could figure out.

Looking at the randomness of the plan, it looked like they were being transmitted to all battlefields.

’All I know is that this is not nonsense. Even if I can’t fully understand the intention, if this can make the war turn in our favor, it shouldn’t be too hard.’

Duke Lorelei had received full authority on the battlefield, so if he decided to go for this plan, no one would object.

Hence, Duke Lorelei shouted, "Get ready. We will be changing our location."

The same applied to all battlefields.

Conrad didn’t understand what was going on, but he still postponed the fight between him and the ancient demon to follow this order.

Phantom, Rui, and all other commanders were issuing different orders.

The plant that was supposed to oversee the battlefield suddenly found itself confused.

All the battlefields were supposed to be similar, but it all changed in one instance. All of a sudden, all battlefields moved in a different way that it had never seen before.

It could move one battlefield, but when it was trying to think about the solution for the second battlefield, the first battlefield would have changed the direction again, making it impossible to keep track of two, let alone dozens of battlefields scattered across the kingdoms.

As a result, the demon that controlled the battlefield could no longer function as it was originally intended.

All the commanders noticed this change.

"Hmm?" Duke Lorelei couldn’t help but smile.

Conrad muttered, "The movement of the demon army has become less sharp. If this continues..."

"Nyahahaha. It looks like the one giving the command is very good at his job-nya!" Phantom grinned.

"Impressive," Rui muttered.

"Is there someone this talented hidden under Noel?" Saintess Layla frowned.

All the people knew that the plan itself was real. The message had given them a list of instructions.

They all had the same thought. If they executed the plan to perfection, the demons would return to their original form, meaning they would fight only by relying on their instinct.

They had just to focus on completing the task and strike back when the time arrived.

As expected, the moment their strategies were rendered ineffective, the demon would send a message to all ancient demons to blast all their plans open.

The ancient demons started rampaging with greater intensity than before.

Even the secretive ancient demon that Duke Lorelei fought had no choice but to emerge.

"I see. This is the last sprint." Duke Lorelei grinned. "In that case, I shall play along. Shall we dance one last time?"

Duke Lorelei leaped into the air.
